SUMMARY:Apocalypse How?
DESCRIPTION:Nominated for Best Ensemble at the Dublin Fringe Awards 2025 \nThe world has ended. GADZOOKS! Thank goodness\, the Doomslayers are here to guide you seamlessly into this brave new world\, however charred and radioactive it may be. \nThese three boozy floozies are the newfangled de facto administrators of the Bottom Bunker\, a not so desirable sanctuary for queers left behind by the Rapture. \nJoin the girls in their hedonistic hideaway as they learn to cope with the conclusion of our earthly presence. There’s cabaret for your entertainment\, plenty of provisions and a bunkerload of queer camaraderie in this ultimate guide through the doom and gloom of our dystopian present. \nAfter a sold out run at Dublin Fringe Festival 2025\, Apocalypse How? makes its triumphant return to Smock Alley. Come along\, release your inhibitions\, feel the (acid) rain on your skin and follow our unlikely Queeroes on a journey of self-discovery as they realise that maybe they do have what it takes to survive\, thrive and energetically jive their way through Doomsday. \nAge Suitability: 16+\nWarnings: References to mental illness\, strong language \nWRITTEN & PERFORMED BY Annie Queeries\, Donna Fella & Laylah Beattie \nTICKETS €19 | €17 (concession)\nRUNNING TIME 1 hr 10 mins no interval\nABOUT THE COMPANY \nLong time friends Annie\, Donna and Laylah started Doomslayers in 2024 to collaborate in their efforts to enjoy life amidst increasing existential dread. \nAnnie Queeries is a seasoned drag performer with plenty of stage experience. She’s known to appear at Prides and shows across the country and is a regularly featured guest at the Haus of Wig. Known for her camp\, creative drag style\, she combines performance art\, humour and community engagement and was nominated for the Spirit of Wit: Moira Brady Averill award in the 2025 Dublin Fringe Awards. \nDonna Fella is a celebrated drag artist active in Ireland’s queer performance scene. She is noted for her creative style and stage presence as well as her musicality and comedy songs. Outside of Doomslayers\, she is a founding member of the Haus of WIG\, one of the city’s most popular drag collectives known for its high energy cabaret shows.
