SUMMARY:AN IDEAL HUSBAND
DESCRIPTION:Corrupt politicians. Everyday blackmail.\, Shade and side-eye: sound familiar? Welcome to Wilde’s AN IDEAL HUSBAND. \nStep into a world of wit\, intrigue\, and timeless charm with our thrilling new production of Oscar Wilde’s An Ideal Husband. Experience the sparkling dialogue\, sharp social satire\, and a story layered with secrets\, scandal\, and unexpected romance. This classic play invites you to explore moral dilemmas and the complexities of human nature. \n “Morality is simply the attitude we adopt towards people whom we personally dislike”.  \nOscar Wilde revolutionised theatre with his sharp wit and biting social critiques. His plays\, including The Importance of Being Earnest and Lady Windemere’s Fan\, blend humour with profound commentary on human behaviour.   \nAn Ideal Husband is directed by Marc Atkinson Borrull whose recent credits include Three Sisters (Gaiety Theatre) and A Misanthrope (Smock Alley Theatre).   \n\n\nPRIORTY BOOKING ONLY

SUMMARY:The Whiteheaded Boy
DESCRIPTION:“ – Glory be to God! Is it notions she has? – Aye\, notions. But they’re notions that cost me money!” \n\n\nThe table is set for Denis\, arriving home from Dublin where he’s studying Medicine at Trinity College – a source of enormous pride for his besotted mother and of great resentment to his five other siblings. \nBut when word comes that he may have failed his exams again\, the final straw breaks. Threats of deportation\, lawsuits\, bribes and counter-bribes escalate\, as the family twist the fate of their whiteheaded boy to suit themselves. Never mind about the girls. \nA smash hit when it premiered at the Abbey Theatre 110 years ago\, Lennox Robinson’s The Whiteheaded Boy is a raucous\, high-stakes tug-of-war between a generation who will do anything to keep their standing in the town and the young\, who just want to be free to do what they want to do. \nAward-winning director Annie Ryan re-imagines this bawdy and bold Irish classic with a contemporary eye and a sharp feminist wink to the past. Notions abound!

SUMMARY:The Magic Glasses | Dublin By Dusk
DESCRIPTION:The year is 1913\, but like a contemporary phone-addicted teenager\, Jaymoney Shanahan spends his days up in the loft staring into his magic glasses\, hearing strange music and seeing incredible visions. \nHis distraught parents finally call in the fabled Morgan Quille\, hoping he can cure this incurable of his wicked ways. Is Quille a genuine faith healer or a fake of a quack doctor? What will happen when a violent exorcism is attempted in this Kerry country kitchen? \nWith riotous humour\, language of astonishing richness\, and the highest of hi-jinx\, The Magic Glasses is a mini-masterpiece by this under-celebrated playwright\, a Kerry magician of singular genius\, George Fitzmaurice. \nDon’t miss the rare chance to see this glorious gem of a play.
