DESCRIPTION:“Gráda is to Irish music what Arcade Fire is to Indie – informal\, prodigious and full of spirit” – The Washington Post. \nA highlight on the traditional Irish music scene from 2001 – 2011\, trad group Gráda are reuniting this summer to play two shows in Dublin and Galway. \nWith members from both Ireland and New Zealand\, Gráda spent much of their time touring internationally\, performing in over 1000 cities in 30 countries from the Sydney Opera House to the Royal Glasgow Concert Hall to Ireland’s National Concert Hall and headlined multiple European and American folk festivals. \nIn 2011\, Gráda disbanded to work on individual projects. This saw the members involved in various ventures including musical groups The Whileaways and ALDOC\, Gráda’s sound is rooted in trad\, while drawing influences from folk\, jazz\, world music and Americana. The band’s live shows exude energy\, with an improvisation element that made them unique within the trad music world. The repertoire is seeded with original songs and instrumentals that have captured the imaginations of audiences all around the world.

Awarded Female Musician of the Year at the ASLR Celtic Music Awards (2020) and nominated for Musician of the Year at the RTÉ Folk Awards\, she holds first-class honours BA and MA degrees from the University of Limerick. A bouzouki player and singer\, he performs in both English and Irish\, drawing on a repertoire of lesser-known folk songs and tunes shaped by years on the Galway trad and folk circuit.

DESCRIPTION:Lewis is an independent solo artist from Dublin\, Ireland  He has been releasing music since 2024 when his covers of classic Irish songs started to get lots of attention online but he is also working on more of his own original music after releasing the Christmas single “The 2 Chimneys” followed by the summer singles “1916 Girl” and “Come Out Ye Black & Tans” in 2025. \nHis live debut at the All Together Now festival last year received rave reviews\, quickly following that up with his first ever live international performance in London. \nAfter splitting with his management company earlier this year\, he is now focused on recording his debut album on his own terms along with a separate unplugged acoustic album while releasing as much music as possible along the way. \nHe is also currently writing a musical called Independence Boyz. His first ever hometown show in Dublin at the Button Factory in March sold out quickly so make sure to get your tickets early because this will be his biggest headline show yet!

DESCRIPTION:Iconic Birmingham rock band Dexys have announced details of their upcoming tour\, which includes a show in 3Olympia Theatre\, Dublin on Wednesday 4th November 2026. \n\n\nThe dates will be the first time the band\, fronted by Kevin Rowland\, have toured under the name of Dexys Midnight Runners since 2003\, when they played a sold-out show at London’s Southbank Centre. \nFounded in Birmingham in 1978\, Dexys Midnight Runners released three critically and commercially successful albums – Searching For The Young Soul Rebels (1980)\, Too-Rye-Ay (1982) & Don’t Stand Me Down (1985). The band had a string of top ten hits in the 1980s\, including two number ones\, ‘Geno’ (1980) & ‘Come on Eileen’ (1982). \nFront person Kevin Rowland would go on to release both solo and further band albums\, under the ‘Dexys’ name\, including their 2012 ‘comeback’ album\, One Day I’m Going To Soar\, which came out to widespread acclaim and 2023’s The Feminine Divine\, which made number 6 in the U.K. albums chart. Rowland\, one of the most individual and unique musical talents of the past 40 years\, recently released his memoir\, Bless Me Father. \nDexy’s Midnight Runners are working with Heavenly Recordings.

DESCRIPTION:When you watch Aaron Rowe on stage\, he anchors himself behind the mic\, broad shouldered and wide eyed whilst telling stories. Song histories\, personal anecdotes or just random thoughts and funny observations are blurted out with erratic but effortless charm. His smile is so sunny and wide it feels permanent and his laugh is hoarse\, warm and totally infectious. When he speaks his eyes glisten\, but when he sings\, they close as his head lulls onto his shoulder and tilts back. For Aaron\, singing and playing guitar is not a choice\, it’s an extension of himself – he has to do it. You can tell as soon as he begins it offers him not only freedom\, but focus. \nWhen he first started playing music as a teenager\, Aaron tried to keep it a secret. “Where I’m from\, you can’t show people you’re soft\, so playing music and singing was just off the cards.” However\, it got tricky once he started walking around the area with a guitar strapped to his back. One day he was finally pulled over by “a few of the lads\, they asked me ‘you playing music then\, Aaron? Play us a song;” And when he humbly refused? “Play us a fucking song”. Reluctantly\, he sang to them\, sitting on a brick wall behind those tightly closed eyes. When he opened them\, instead of laughter he was met with acceptance. “All they said was\, ‘That was class\,’ It was a really nice moment for me\, and after that exact day I was like fuck this\, this is what I want to do\, and this is what I’m going to do for the rest of my life”. He decided then and there that he was going to be a musician. \nSo far\, the story of Aaron Rowe looks like what fate feels like: paths crossing and stars aligning. Almost exactly a year ago\, Aaron was singing covers at his regular Saturday gig in The Dame Tavern when one of his future managers would walk in and discover him playing. A few weeks later\, Lewis Capaldi would also stumble into Aaron’s usual Sunday sessions at Cassidy’s on a stag do. Like fate\, a few weeks after that\, he would bump into Lewis again whilst performing at an open mic in Nashville\, where Lewis introduced him to his best friend\, now Aaron’s manager\, who just so happened to have listened to his demos that very morning. Far from an overnight success\, after nearly thirteen years of gigging five days a week\, his moment finally came. Call it fate\, call it what you will\, a good story is the least you can expect from a generational voice like Aaron. DESCRIPTION:Big Country are led by Bruce Watson\, one of the founding members of Big Country\, alongside the late\, great guitarist\, singer and songwriter Stuart Adamson. Now\, Big Country announce a 15 date UK tour in November and December 2026 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of ‘The Seer’. ‘The Seer’ was Big Country’s third album and featured the song ‘Look Away’ which was their biggest hit in the UK\, whilst the title track featured a duet between Stuart Adamson and Kate Bush. ‘The Seer’ album itself hit No.2 spot in the UK. All dates will feature support from Evan Peters Presents The Alarm. Between 2011 and 2013 \, following the death of Stuart Adamson\, Evan’s father Mike Peters was the lead vocalist for Big Country as well as The Alarm. \nSeptember will see the release of the ‘Eastworld’ album\, which will be released on CD\, Vinyl and Digital on 18 September through Absolute. The album will be preceded by the first single\, the title track ‘Eastworld’ on 5 June 2026. \nThe album consists of 10 brand new recordings of Big Country songs originally written or co-written by Stuart Adamson\, which were released as demoes or sketches\, but never previously properly developed or lavished with the attention they deserved. With the publication of the well-regarded book on Adamson’s life ‘Stay Alive’ by Scott Rowley\, and a forthcoming documentary\, the spotlight is on the band and the legacy once again. The UK tour kicks off in Middlesbrough on 19 November\, and finishes in Bristol on 10 December. \nBruce Watson said of the ‘Eastworld’ release\, “Some of these songs will be known to the diehards as they have sneaked out from the archives as unfinished demoes or ‘internet only’ releases\, but these are all songs that deserved to be developed further at the time they were written. I am delighted to have now completed them; it is a true privilege to get this newly recorded material out there. All of these songs were sketched out on old reel to reel tape recorders in dingy basements or in small 8 track studios”. \nThe Big Country line-up includes Bruce Watson (guitar/vocals)\, his son Jamie Watson (guitar/vocals)\, Tommie Paxton (vocals/guitar)\, Chris Stones (bass)\, and Reece Dobbin (drums). Jamie has been performing with his father since 2003. His first gig saw him take to the stage with Sex Pistol Glen Matlock and Mick Jones from The Clash as part of The Dead Men Walking tour\, he was only 14 years old. Both Tommie and Chris were fans of Big Country and indeed performed together in Big Country tribute band\, ‘Restless Natives’. Reece was local to the Watsons in Dunfermline and is deemed by Bruce essential to Big Country as the band’s songs require\, “a technical drummer with feel and stamina”. \n2026 is year of anniversaries for Big Country. It will be 45 years since Stuart Adamson left Skids and made good on his promise to start something amazing with Bruce Watson; the latter’s agreement was music’s gain but a loss to the Fife submarine building industry! This year also marks four decades since the band’s third album ‘The Seer’ was released. Tragically\, however\, this year will also mark 25 years since Stuart Adamson passed away. \nTogether with bass player Tony Butler and drummer Mark Brzezicki\, Big Country’s classic debut album ‘The Crossing’ (1983) sold over 2 million copies and earned 3 Grammy nominations. Second album ‘Steeltown’ (1984) went straight to Number 1. In total\, Big Country had 17 top 30 UK singles and made gold and platinum status albums. Hit singles like ‘In A Big Country’\, ‘Wonderland’\, ‘Chance’\, ‘Fields Of Fire’ and the band’s biggest ‘Look Away’\, made them Top Of The Pops regulars\, and they toured with Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page and Robert Plant\, David Bowie\, and the Rolling Stones. Mick Jagger called them “one of the best opening bands we ever had”. As the songs on ‘Eastworld’ attest\, the music was always uplifting but some of the inspiration and source material\, from war\, global politics and personal circumstance\, was darker than many knew. \nWatson reunited with Butler and Brzezicki in 2007 to celebrate the band’s 25th anniversary. Mike Peters from The Alarm along with Jamie joined the band in 2011 and recorded an album of original material called ‘The Journey’. Bruce Watson continues to pay tribute to Stuart and the music they made together. As he says\, “Big Country is my life and a labour of love. I feel a responsibility to continue the story” \nWith this 40th Anniversary tour for ‘The Seer’\, and of course the new album ‘Eastworld’\, Big Country does just that\, and in some style.
