But the songs of Big World have them trading in overt emotional directness for subject matter that leans enigmatic\, contemplating their place in the world through a mosaic of songs that sees the band at their most secure and self-aware.

DESCRIPTION:Foggy Notions are proud to present the Irish Debut of Way Dynamic. \nWay Dynamic\, the solo project of Melbourne’s Dylan Young\, will soon release internationally Massive Shoe – a third album that’s playful and understated\, luminous and textured. Massive Shoe is minimalist folk-pop\, art rock and baroque pop\, produced and largely played by Young\, who moonlights in Melbourne’s beloved Cool Sounds and Good Morning and has played drums with Snowy Band and Kankawa Nagarra. It’s tempting to only compare these timeless songs to those of yesteryear\, but there’s a sensibility\, a turn of phrase\, that feels deeply contemporary: it’s telling that Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield described “Miffed It” as her “favourite song in a VERY long time”\, and Katie and MJ Lenderman have both taken Way Dynamic on tour. At the same time\, Sir Elton John said that he “just cannot stop listening” to “Ibiza”. Young’s songs don’t shy away from sentiment\, or equally from silliness: on any given song he might evoke a cruisy trip through hell or earnestly lament a miscommunication. Whether the journey is to space or along the Seine\, we’re very much along for the ride. \n

SUMMARY:Clarion
DESCRIPTION:Formed\, almost accidentally\, in a shared east LA lockout\, the members of Clarion came together to write music together in late 2023. Anthony\, Saya and Joseph had all had spent time in the local DIY scene of East Los Angeles and in 2024 decided to record the songs they had been writing in a quick three-day sprint. They implemented efforts like layering multiple amps in stereo\, panned left to right with different tones\, to create an illusion of two guitarists. They tried every idea that came to mind\, allowing the songs to become fully realised instead of rushed. The result is an immersive and youthful mix of shoegaze\, post-punk\, and Japanese rock. These recordings became their debut EP\, simply titled Clarion. \nThe song “Hello Juliet” from that EP quickly gained traction on TikTok when a fan-made video started to go viral. Of the song\, singer and bassist Saya Oliva says “The song is about wanting to make it right with someone.” Guitarist Anthony Sanchez adds\, “I ended up writing the riff and song after one of my best friends passed\, and we weren’t on the best of terms when it happened so the lyrics really reflect that feeling of regret\, of wanting to start over.”  \nFrom there\, they were catapulted from their local DIY scene to a much bigger stage. Signing with Broke Records in 2025\, “Hello Juliet” continued to grow and find more listeners as it currently has more than 55 million streams across platforms. Opportunities to tour with artists like Violent Vira\, Rehash\, Mexican Slum Rats\, and Mind’s Eye followed in 2025 as the band honed their live set and added touring member Javier Flores on drums. Intent on fully earning their touring stripes in 2026\, they are heading out on the road supporting shoegaze legends Panchiko and embarking on their own national headline tour.  As busy as they are\, community is at the core of Clarion. You can still find them jumping onstage at their local Dennys for a sold out DIY show or hosting their annual Christmas charity benefit show in Pomona. \nWhen they aren’t on tour\,  they’re back in the room where they started — jamming\, debating\, refining\, and crafting a sound big enough to swallow the space around them. Off the success of their debut EP\, they’ve released a handful of singles leading into Blue Fairy\, their new EP out now.

DESCRIPTION:Qween and Dublin Gospel Choir have announced a Dublin show at 3Olympia Theatre on Friday 4th September 2026. \n  \n\n\nFormed in 2018 by a group of seasoned performers\, Qween is an Irish tribute band dedicated to meticulously recreating the theatrical magic and “essence” of a classic Queen concert through microscopic detail\, using everything from period-correct sixpences as guitar picks to iconic custom costumes. \nTheir rapid rise in popularity saw them selling out major venues across Ireland and making history in 2023 as the first tribute act to play the main stage at the Forever Young Festival following successful collaborations with artists like Tony Hadley and Mark Shaw. \nBy drafting the Dublin Gospel Choir in 2022\, the band successfully bridged the gap between Queen’s raw live energy and their complex studio arrangements\, culminating in massive landmark performances such as a sold-out show for 3\,000 fans at King John’s Castle. Despite their professional success\, the group faced a significant personal challenge in late 2023 when lead singer Brian Keville was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer; however\, the band and the wider community rallied together through viral fundraising efforts supported by various celebrities to aid his recovery and celebrate his life-long passion for performance. \n“I’m grateful that fans and musical friends alike jumped on board. DESCRIPTION:John Hegarty returns to Whelans this September to launch his new double A-sided single\, Waiting/The End of the Holiday. \nOne of Ireland’s most distinctive independent songwriters\, Hegarty has built a reputation for richly arranged songs written on open-tuned folk guitar and piano\, blending strings\, woodwind and expansive musical textures across acclaimed albums including Twilight\, Guiding Light and Into the Great Unknown. \nHis latest record\, Daydreaming\, released on Rollercoaster Records in 2024\, was praised for its warm\, cinematic songwriting and evocative landscapes of memory and imagination. \n  \nFeaturing performances from acclaimed musicians including Dave Hingerty and Kenneth Rice\, the album was featured on Marty in the Morning on Lyric FM and named among several of the year’s standout Irish releases. \nJohn Hegarty’s debut album\, Twilight was recently featured in the podcast\, To Here Knows When\, Great Irish Albums Revisited and he was also a guest on That Show About Music in 2XM. \nHegarty first appeared on Other Voices\, where his song “Limerick” later became associated with Glen Hansard and The Frames. As a multi-instrumentalist and arranger\, he has also collaborated with artists including Adrian Crowley\, Cian Nugent\, John Murry\, Barry McCormack and more recently Seamus Fogarty. \nExpect an intimate evening of beautifully crafted songs\, rich arrangements and new material from an artist whose connection with Whelan’s stretches back many years.

DESCRIPTION:Hailing from Byron Bay\, Australia\, this three-piece outfit\, consisiting of Rasmus King (vocals/guitar)\, Kyuss King (bass)\, and Bon Soric (drums) has quickly built a formidable reputation through relentless live performance\, playing over 40 shows in 2025 before releasing a single track. \nThat early momentum translated into a landmark global record deal with American/Republic\, Polydor\, and EMI/Universal Australia\, all secured prior to any official releases. In November 2025\, they introduced their sound with debut single “Stove\,” followed closely by “Chugg.” “Stove” was recorded with renowned producer Nick DiDia (Pearl Jam\, Rage Against The Machine)\, mixed by Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys\, The 1975)\, and mastered by Steve Fallone\, setting a high bar for their recorded output. On the live circuit\, the band has already shared stages with major international acts\, serving as main support for Wunderhorse’s Australian theatre tour in September 2025\, joining Tool on their arena tour across Australia and New Zealand later that year\, and opening for AC/DC at their Brisbane stadium shows in December.
