DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce that three of David Bowie’s key alumni – Mike Garson\, Earl Slick and Mark Plati – will be headlining the 2026 Dublin Bowie Festival for a very intimate live concert that will see the trio celebrate the 50th anniversary of Bowie’s sublime album Station To Station and other greatest hits. It will also mark a Festival appearance debut for the legendary New York born guitarist Earl Slick who was initially hired by Bowie to take over from Mick Ronson on the 1974 Diamond Dogs tour before he recorded with Bowie on David Live\, Young Americans and the album he is most associated with\, 1976’s epic\, Station To Station. The alumni will be joined onstage by some very special Festival guests for one magical momentous occasion.

DESCRIPTION:Driven Snow start 2026 with new music and an opportunity to catch up with the band playing live in the intimate environs of Little Whelans. They will be playing songs from their critically acclaimed debut album\, A Kind Of Dreaming\, as well as offering up some brand new tunes and a smattering of beautifully reworked cover versions. \nThe band celebrate the beginning of 2026 by making a new song available – the achingly understated “Dawn Chorus”\, which examines the mother-daughter relationship (in both directions) with a heart-stopping lyric written by Emily and featuring a spoken word performance from her mother. \nDriven Snow are Kieran McGuinness and Emily Aylmer\, whose musical careers and lives grew from their roles in the bands Delorentos and Republic of Loose\, respectively. Their beautiful\, dreamy pop tunes and vocal harmonies grew out of songs penned late at night\, while their 3 children were fast asleep. Their debut album “A Kind of Dreaming” was released in 2024 to great acclaim and described as “Sublime” (Irish Times)\, “Bewitching” (Irish Independent) and “An album to luxuriate in. (Hotpress)” \nDriven Snow’s releases have brought them a steadily increasing level of coverage nationally and internationally as well as airplay throughout Ireland along with plays across the UK\, Europe and as far afield as USA\, Canada\, South Africa and Mexico. \nTheir songs offer a tantalising hint of the yearning curiosity in their songwriting via a mix of classic harmonies housed in uncluttered acoustic and electronic sounds. Influences include Neil Young\, Beach House\, Cat Power\,Scandinavian TV shows and fireside beers.
