Bookings subject to 12.5% service charge per ticket (max €10.50) \nThe rambunctious Celtic folk of The Pogues\, the story-telling charm of The View\, the lush pop harmonies of Teenage Fanclub\, the jangly delicacy of the Smiths\, the yearning of a classic Oasis B-side and a Scottish brogue as defiant as the Proclaimers… Brògeal have it all – and make it their own. A bubbling cultural cauldron set to boiling point\, the sound overflows with accordion\, banjo\, bouzouki\, mandolin and perky penny whistle\, where ancient folk tradition meets an indie Gen Z sensibility and laughs\, sings and dances in the face of 21st century darkness. The death of the swaggering good-time band has been greatly exaggerated. \nFrom small-town Falkirk in central Scotland the folk-punk-indie-pop five-piece have big ideas\, with a reputation as one of the best live bands in Britain\, their communal\, sing-along\, delirious anthems igniting mosh-pit madness throughout the UK\, Ireland and beyond. Everybody loves them. \n“The thing about our music is that it transcends all age groups\,” notes vocalist/songwriter/guitarist Daniel Harkins. “You’ve got 14-year-old boys with their mums\, they’re all going mental\, you’ve got old punks\, middle-aged women\, young adults\, old people\, everybody’s digging it\, you know? There’s something for everybody because you’ve got your folky influences\, The Pogues\, with this indie edge and pop sensibilities.” \nBrògeal (pronounced Bro-gale) got here via the old-school\, DIY route. Borne from a friendship on a bus – Daniel and fellow songwriter Aidan Callaghan (vocals\, banjo) met on journeys to Celtic football games – they formed a typically ramshackle school punk band\, Shiva\,who were “shit”\, but the passion remained. Traditional folk fans forever\, loving The Dubliners nand The Pogues\, ideas for a folk band evolved\, soon joined by Sam MacMillan who taught himself to play his grandad’s accordion. When Covid struck in 2020\, more self-taught musicianship filled the void\, learning their folky craft on curious olde instruments\, two metres apart\, in Daniel’s back garden under a leaky Asda gazebo. Emerging from Covid\, two new recruits joined – local studio engineer Euan Mundie (bass) and Luke Mortimer (drums) – and the distinctive Brògeal sound took shape: fearlessly merging traditionally raucous Celtic folk with deft\, harmonious songcraft\, pop nous and the indie noughties energy they grew up on. \n“We never set out with a [musical] plan\,” notes Daniel. “Whatever we bring to the band\, no matter what genre\, it always ends up sounding like a Brògeal song anyway.” \nThey made their first EP for themselves\, ‘Dirt and Daydreams’ (2023) released on their own winningly titled CraicDen label\, followed by an eponymous EP in 2024 on Is Right Records\, leading to a signing with revered independent label Play It Again Sam (PIAS\, home to Nick Cave\, The Hives\, Cameron Winter). For the last 18 months they’ve toured relentlessly\, throughout the UK and Ireland\, gathering ecstatic fans\, have supported Paolo Nutini\, The Mary Wallopers and The Lathums\, found fans in both 6 Music’s Huw Stephen and Line of Duty actor Martin Compston\, been eulogised in Rolling Stone\, the Independent\, Clash\, The New Cue\, So Young and Dork. \n“We’ve always been kept busy and it just kind of got bigger and bigger at a really natural rate\,” says Aidan. “It’s the stuff of dreams. You think\, ‘Oh\, that could never happen’\, and we’re doing it!” \n“Aidan’s being kind of humble there\,” interjects Daniel. “Because we had the belief from the very start. That we’d be massive!” \nTheir debut album\, released this October\, spectacularly fulfils the belief. Tuesday Paper Club showcases their limitless musical range\, with lyrical themes of romance\, heartache\, booze\, local nutters\, nostalgia and loss\, its artwork featuring a paper boy\, Aidan’s wee brother Finn. The title is a withering\, generational quip: Daniel once worked the day shift in Falkirk’s oldest pub\, The Wheatsheaf (established 1779)\, “a total old man’s pub”\, where most days three old fellers took up residency with the newspapers. “They wouldn’t talk to each other until they’d had about five pints\,” says Daniel\, and when talk did start\, alongside the headlines\, there would be disparaging remarks on the apparently “stupid” young. “So I just thought it would be really cheeky to write about them\,” laughs Daniel\, who wrote the lyrics there on a Tuesday. “Just talking about the mundanity of what they were up to while being so judgmental\, you know?” \nThe album’s recording location was also unique. Black Bay Studio sits on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland’s profoundly remote Outer Hebrides\, a residential studio refurbished from a fish processing factory\, overlooking a stunning bay. Here\, the five slept alongside producer Richie Kennedy\, the Irish Producer/Engineer/Mixer based in London (Libertines\, Cardinals\, Last Dinner Party\, Interpol\, Dua Lipa/Kylie\, U2). \n“We want to be the biggest and best band in the world!” he now declares. “But we also want to have a good time doing this. Because\, in theory\, it could be curtains tomorrow.” Brògeal: A proper band\, for everyone\, cheering up the world. The good times\, finally\, are back.

DESCRIPTION:Singer-songwriter Brian Horgan hails from Enniscorthy\, the town of Colm Tobin\, Vinegar Hill\, Eileen Grey and Annie Jameson (mother to the inventor of the radio; Marconi) the River Slaney and the 10th Century historic Norman castle. \nBrian’s debut album ‘Start Again’ is rooted in the place where he grew up. He’s taught English in Europe\, worked as the Development Director in Dublin’s Abbey Theatre and has been involved in Music/Theatre/Arts all around the globe. He is also CX Director at the CX Academy and owner of Horgan Consultancy. \nHe’s home again\, for now. Not quite starting again but taking a step back and reflecting. Releasing the album he always thought he could\, and should. His songwriting and music are instinctive and well-received\, with people asking if he had anything on record? \nBrian’s passion is to sing\, to write\, to perform something unique. Something all his own. Personal\, most certainly\, but also connective and relatable. The thoughts and the sometimes travails of a lived experience. His listeners are in his songs. \nBrian’s played live with his band in sold-out shows at The Sugar Club\, No. 10 Ormond Quay\, Smock Alley\, Bewleys Café Theatre and The Abbey Theatre. Also in New York City as an invited guest performer of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA). \nHe’s no ‘Small Voice’\, he isn’t a balladeer in the corner of your local. Not your typical ‘Singer/Songwriter’ in the typical fashion. (Much as we all love that…) There’s a bit more to Brian Horgan. He’s taken this long to create ‘Start Again’\, thought a great deal about it. He’s where it has led him and we’re invited along. \nBrian Horgan says\, “It is all simply a journey of love and experience even (or especially) in its difficult moments”.

DESCRIPTION:Tide Lines are a band whose story stretches from the wild expanses of the Scottish Highlands to the beating heart of Glasgow. In June 2025\, they celebrated a landmark moment with their fourth album Glasgow Love Story via their own Tide Lines Music label\, which landed at No.1 in Scotland and No.11 in the UK Official Album Charts — their highest UK chart position to date and third Scottish No.1. \nThe band still record and rehearse in a converted church on the Isle of Mull\, where the ever-changing Hebridean landscape seeps naturally into their sound. As vocalist/guitarist Robert Robertson puts it: “We’ve always felt like our music carries traces of where we’re from — the space\, the weather\, the drama of the Highlands. But it’s just as much about connection\, about reaching people everywhere.” At heart\, Tide Lines are a rock band in touch with the geography and the culture that formed them. \n2025 has already underlined that connection. In May\, five intimate Glasgow Love Story album launch shows across Scotland sold out instantly\, while a surprise busk on the Glasgow subway stopped commuters in their tracks. Just weeks later\, the band played the biggest headline show of their career so far\, a 5\,000-capacity outdoor concert at Rouken Glen Park\, followed by high-profile summer appearances at HebCelt\, Belladrum\, and Aberdeen’s Quayside Concerts for The Tall Ships Race. They also added a touch of sporting history to their story\, performing in front of 67\,000 people at Murrayfield Stadium during Scotland’s Six Nations win over Wales. \nAcross three earlier albums — from the sweeping romanticism of Dreams We Never Lost through to 2023’s An Ocean Full of Islands (which charted at No.13 in the UK and No.1 in Scotland) — Tide Lines built a reputation for expansive\, anthemic songs and magnetic live performances. 2024 was a milestone year: three euphoric nights at Glasgow’s legendary Barrowland Ballroom\, 14 summer festival appearances across the UK\, a sold-out European run through the Netherlands\, Denmark and Germany. They closed the year with a 14\,000-ticket Scottish tour that included a triumphant return to the Usher Hall. \nNow\, as they mark 10 years together\, the story continues with the recently released Glasgow Love Story\, an album rooted not in island remoteness but in the pulse of the city they now call home. Robertson describes it as “a love letter to Glasgow. It’s the city we started the band in\, and it’s been a constant presence in our journey ever since.” He continues: “We’ll always be influenced by where we’re from. The Highlands gave us our first songs\, but Glasgow gave us a stage and an audience. Both places are written into what we do.” The record paints a panoramic portrait of the city: the sandstone tenements glowing red in the evening sun\, rain-slicked streets shining under lamplight\, and the everyday lives unfolding in its bars\, dancehalls and quiet corners. \nLooking ahead\, an autumn 2025 UK headline tour will include their biggest London show to date at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire\, before concluding with six gigs across Scotland including an already sold out Usher Hall date. And in 2026\, the band will take Glasgow Love Story on the road again for their biggest UK and European tour yet\, alongside major festival appearances\, a special 10th anniversary celebration yet to be announced\, and further international dates. \nReflecting on the band’s journey\, Robertson says: “When we first got together in a bar in Glasgow back in 2016\, we never imagined that ten years later we’d be playing to thousands of people across the country. It’s been a mad journey\, but one we’re very grateful for.” And on their live shows: “The best part of releasing new music is seeing it come alive on stage. Nothing compares to the feeling of a crowd singing your words back to you.” \nFrom their very first single Far Side of the World (now at almost 12 million streams)\, Tide Lines have sung of place\, belonging\, and the journeys that stretch beyond the horizon. Over the years they’ve been hailed for “alt-pop that looks to American heartland rock\, whilst retaining the tartan patterns of home” (Wonderland)\, and for “expansive singalong moments and classic songwriting” (The Line of Best Fit). \nNow heading into their tenth year\, Tide Lines carry the same hallmarks that first won them fans — poetic lyricism and emotional honesty\, brought to life in live shows that swell into mass celebrations.
