SUMMARY:Dunluvly
DESCRIPTION:Dunluvly are an Indie Folk band from Dublin\, Ireland. Originally the solo project of Shane Dunleavy\, the band has taken Dunluvly’s sound to new heights. \nThey now boast an impressive roster of musicians\, including Christian Conefery\, Mark Duggan\, Aisling Fitzgerald\, Karen Garvey\, Aidan Gray and Tommy Adams. They also perform with larger arrangements that include artists Ryan Fahey\, Naoise Mac Chonghaill\, Mark Garvey\, Eddy Blake\, John O’Connell and Arjun Desai. \nThey performed to a sold-out Whelan’s on the 27th of December 2023\, teasing some of the new EP ‘Flow’. On the back of this success\, lead singer Shane ventured into the RTE studios in January 2024. Here\, he played Hammer Fingers (released May 24th 2024) live on air and discussed the band’s future plans on ‘Tea With Toshín’. \n  \nThey rounded off January with a performance at ‘Ones to Watch Extra 2024’ on the Whelan’s Main Stage. The second single from their upcoming EP was released in February 2024. \n‘The Spire’\, a personal and political journey through the Dublin of today\, was featured on RTE 2fm and Bored City Blog. \nThe second single\, Hammer Fingers\, is an emotional live recording reminiscent of Hozier’s Cherry Wine. \nThe release of the EP ‘Flow’ is led by a chilled UK Hip-hop-inspired track that addresses the experience of writer’s block and the art of pushing through. \nThe band relocated to Wellington\, New Zealand at the end of 2024. Here the project has begun a new record\, with the fi rst new single landing on the 20th of June 2026 titled ‘Home Safe’: \n“Releasing a single written about the struggle of living 20\,000km away from so many friends and family\, we are very excited to be returning to Ireland to play it during our first tour at home in 2 years.” \nDunluvly’s single ‘Too Late’ was used by Surfl ine in their short fi lm ‘Out Front – Ireland’ as a soundtrack to showcase Ireland’s most prevalent professional surfers. Additionally\, Shane produced the original soundtrack for the fi lm ‘Where Will We Go’ which will screen at the Disappear Here Film Fest and Inheritance – The Environmental Festival. 2023 boasted debut performances at Whelan’s ‘Ones to Watch’ festival and Electric Picnic’s Trailer Park\, off the back of their fi rst national tour.

SUMMARY:Leon Majcen
DESCRIPTION:A modern-day folksinger rooted in the classic tradition of Townes Van Zandt and John Prine\, Leon Majcen got started early. He was still a teenager when Love and Misery became a hit on SiriusXM’s The Coffee House channel\, introducing a nationwide audience to his unique spin on American roots music. What followed was a decade of traveling\, performing\, and chasing down new horizons — often with an acoustic guitar in his hands and a fly rod in the trunk. \nMaking A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) marks Leon’s fourth album in five years. Inspired by the tours that have taken him far beyond his adopted home of Nashville\, it’s the sound of a road warrior who’s grown all too familiar with the highs\, lows\, and heartbreaks that pave the long road out of town. He writes poignantly about a life spent on the move\, bouncing between solo songs and full-band performances. For a songwriter who first hit the road as an infant — back when his Bosnian refugee parents moved the family to Florida\, determined to find a better life for their children — Making A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) is Leon’s most honest album to date\, fueled equally by melody and momentum. \n  \n“The road is calling; don’t leave the light on\,” he sings during the first track\, delivering the line to all the people and places he’s left behind in the rearview mirror. Making A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) often revisits that theme of departure\, from tracks like “Down the Road” — a laid-back\, loping tribute to skipping town\, punctuated by fiddle solos and a deep\, countrified groove — to the darkly humorous “Sleeping in a Car Is Fun Until You Gotta Pee.” Both of those songs are driven forward by Leon’s acoustic guitar\, a nod to his longtime roots as a disciple of Guy Clark and Bob Dylan. That doesn’t stop him from getting loud with “Walking Down the Street\,” a bluesy rocker packed with amplification and attitude. That’s uncharted territory for Leon\, and it’s proof that even the most seasoned travelers deserve to explore new places once in a while. \n“I’ve always occupied the folky side of country music\, or the country side of folk\,” he says\, nodding to previous releases like 2020’s Back ’Til I’m Gone\, 2024’s self-titled Leon Majcen\, and 2025’s Better Days. “For years\, I’ve felt most at home when it’s just me and my acoustic guitar. But this record is a pivot. It’s a bigger sound with more layers\, more intent\, and a real producer. It just feels right.” \nThe producer he’s referencing is multi-instrumentalist Pat Lyons. Celebrated for his work with Americana mainstays like Colter Wall\, Lyons became a mentor to Leon during his first year in Nashville\, back when he was struggling to balance his songwriting career with a long series of day jobs. Leon worked in offices. He worked outside\, using his hands. Eventually\, with Pat’s encouragement\, he embraced the troubadour lifestyle\, dedicating himself to the stage\, the road\, and the writing room. Working with a small rhythm section\, the two collaborators recorded Making A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) during a pair of whirlwind days\, leaning heavily on live performances and Leon’s strength as a stage performer. They also teamed up with Riley Downing (of The Deslondes) for “Tallahassee\,” a duet steeped in the influence of New Orleans. The result is an album about tour stops\, roadside revelations\, and the lessons learned at 75 miles per hour. \nThere are more shows on the horizon. More songs to write. More fishing holes to track down. Leon is part of the Cloverdale family now — a record label and musical collective overseen by Evan Honer\, another Gen Z songwriter who uses folk music as a launchpad for a more expansive sound. And if the road truly goes on forever\, then he’s ready to run it down. This is how Leon makes a living\, and right now\, life is good.

SUMMARY:Crowe Boys
DESCRIPTION:Crowe Boys have been making music since both could pick up an instrument. Their music was an integral part of their family’s traveling lifestyle. \nWhile aspects of their career have changed over the years\, the underlying message of their music has not. Being positive and sharing hope has always been their trademark. Now\, a couple of decades later\, that is still the case. Their journey took an exciting turn when they crossed paths with Andrew Campanelli\, drummer for the multi-platinum band The Revivalists\, who recognized the magic in their sound and stepped in as their producer. Together\, they began recording a collection of songs\, sharing the journey in real-time on social media. Then\, in early 2024\, a casual TikTok post featuring their song “Where Did I Go Wrong” went viral\, changing everything. The raw\, heartfelt clip exploded\, racking up tens of millions of views and earning the Crowe Boys thousands of new fans overnight. Their authentic rise caught the attention of Universal Music Group Nashville\, who signed the duo shortly after. With over 600K followers across social media\, the Crowe Boys’ rapidly growing fanbase is a testament to their genuine connection with their audience. \n

SUMMARY:The Tallest Man On Earth
DESCRIPTION:The Swedish singer-songwriter troubadour Kristian Matsson\, better known as The Tallest Man on Earth has a rare talent for captivating an audience with just his raw\, grainy voice and a guitar. He plays various string instruments\, ranging from acoustic guitar\, banjo and he recently picked up and started exploring the realm of the violin as well. The coming year will see him on the road again through Europe and North-America including the National Concert Hall in Dublin for the first time. \nThe project of Kristian Matsson – who has spent much of the last 19 years touring around the world as The Tallest Man On Earth – has captivated audiences using “every inch of his long guitar cord to roam the stage: darting around\, crouching\, stretching\, hip-twitching\, perching briefly and jittering away…” (The New York Times). In 2020\, Matsson left New York City and returned to his farm in Sweden where he drowned out his thoughts by manically growing vegetables in his garden. It was only near the end of 2021\, as he began to tour again\, that the inspiration returned. “When I’m in motion\, I can focus on my instinct\, have my daydreams again. When I was finally able to tour again\, I started writing like a madman.” He eventually had a collection of songs\, revealing what would become Henry St\, an album that sees Matsson exploring his own stubborn optimism and “how to be a person in this world”. \nAfter 2015’s Dark Bird Is Home\, described by Pitchfork as his “most personal record… surreal and dreamlike\,” and his self-released I Love You\, It’s a Fever Dream in 2019\, Kristian Matsson returned in 2022 with the intricate cover album Too Late for Edelweiss. In 2023\, he unveiled his sixth album\, Henry St.\, marking the first time he recorded with a full band. “For most of my career\, I’ve been a DIY artist\, driven by the feeling that I didn’t know what I was doing\, so I just handled everything myself\,” Matsson explained. But with Henry St.\, he craved the creative spark that comes from collaboration and invited his friends to join him in the studio. \nPresented by Foggy Notions

SUMMARY:Way Dynamic
DESCRIPTION:Foggy Notions are proud to present the Irish Debut of Way Dynamic. \nWay Dynamic\, the solo project of Melbourne’s Dylan Young\, will soon release internationally Massive Shoe – a third album that’s playful and understated\, luminous and textured. Massive Shoe is minimalist folk-pop\, art rock and baroque pop\, produced and largely played by Young\, who moonlights in Melbourne’s beloved Cool Sounds and Good Morning and has played drums with Snowy Band and Kankawa Nagarra. It’s tempting to only compare these timeless songs to those of yesteryear\, but there’s a sensibility\, a turn of phrase\, that feels deeply contemporary: it’s telling that Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield described “Miffed It” as her “favourite song in a VERY long time”\, and Katie and MJ Lenderman have both taken Way Dynamic on tour. At the same time\, Sir Elton John said that he “just cannot stop listening” to “Ibiza”. Young’s songs don’t shy away from sentiment\, or equally from silliness: on any given song he might evoke a cruisy trip through hell or earnestly lament a miscommunication. Whether the journey is to space or along the Seine\, we’re very much along for the ride. \n

SUMMARY:Lily Fitts
DESCRIPTION:Born and raised on Boston’s North Shore\, 25-year-old Lily Fitts is emerging as one of the most compelling new voices — an artist defined not by genre\, but by the clarity and conviction of her storytelling. What began as intimate covers on TikTok has evolved into a career anchored in lyrical precision and emotional depth\, transforming personal experience into songs that resonate well beyond their origins. Her work has drawn early support from artists such as Noah Kahan\, The Lumineers\, and Zach Bryan\, alongside a rapidly growing audience that propelled her debut album\, Getting By\, to nearly 15 million streams since its release last June. \nGetting By introduced Lily as a fully formed storyteller: a coming-of-age record marked by unfiltered honesty\, narrative discipline\, and a sharp emotional point of view. Drawing subtle influence from songwriters like Dolly Parton while operating with a distinctly contemporary sensibility like Lizzy McAlpine\, Fitts writes with cinematic detail and restraint\, allowing each song to unfold with intention. She is not chasing a lane — she is establishing one. \nOn stage\, Lily pairs commanding vocal delivery with a lyric-first performance style that translates with immediacy and impact. Rodeo Magazine calls her live show “beautiful\, powerful\, and refreshing\,” while Concert Chronicles notes a voice that “stretches and simmers.” Following standout appearances at Fairwell Festival\, Levitate Festival\, and BST Hyde Park alongside Noah Kahan\, Gracie Abrams\, FINNEAS\, and Gigi Perez\, she brought Getting By to the road on her first-ever sold-out headline tour. \nWith momentum accelerating\, Lily recently completed a European and UK tour alongside Max McNown\, further expanding her international fanbase and stagecraft. She will enter the studio at the beginning of 2026 to record her sophomore album\, marking the next step in the steady rise of an artist quickly becoming one of the most compelling young writers of her generation.

SUMMARY:Freya Ridings
DESCRIPTION:Since breaking through with Top 10 single ‘Lost Without You’ back in 2017\, Ridings has cemented herself as one of the UK’s most impressive vocal talents\, with the ability to turn her hand to tender balladry and powerful air punch moments alike. That break out single has\, to date\, been streamed almost half a billion times on Spotify alone\, while 2019’s self-titled debut album and 2023 follow-up Blood Orange both landed in the Top 10 of the UK Album Charts\, sending Ridings around the world and landing her a BRIT nomination for Best Female Solo Artist. \nGoing into her third album – set for release in May 2026 -Freya Ridings is not the same artist she was before. She’s had to reach down into the depths and find reserves that she didn’t know she had\, and in doing so\, she’s tapped into a rich seam of anger and wisdom and womanhood that feels as timely now as it ever was. \nAs she says\, “Getting to create\, sing and play these songs and have them exist in the real world\, that feels like winning to me.”

SUMMARY:POD presents: Hudson Freeman
DESCRIPTION:Indie and lo‑fi folk artist Hudson Freeman plays Dublin for a headline show at The Workman’s Club on Thursday 12 September 2026. This date marks his debut Irish performance\, following a breakout year that has seen his music connect with a rapidly growing global audience. \nTickets go on sale: Friday 20th March – 10AM \nHudson crafts a moody blend of bedroom pop\, folk\, and slowcore\, drawing clear lines of inspiration from artists like Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver while carving out a voice that feels wholly his own. His breakout single “If You Know Me” has recently begun pulling in listeners far beyond his usual orbit\, built around a singular\, looping guitar riff and mantra‑like lyrics that showcase his instinctive melodic flair. \nSpring 2025 saw the release of his latest album\, “is a folk artist” – a quietly devastating\, slow‑burning record that has resonated with fans of modern indie folk. Across its songs\, Freeman weaves questions of faith\, belonging\, and anxiety into spacious arrangements that feel both intimate and expansive\, underlining his reputation as a digital‑age storyteller with rare emotional clarity. \nAt The Workman’s Club this September\, audiences can expect a set that traces Hudson’s journey from Eswatini bedrooms to Brooklyn apartments – songs that sit at the intersection of confessional folk and DIY indie\, performed with the rawness and vulnerability that have made his recent work so compelling.

SUMMARY:NCH Landmarks: Hothouse Flowers
DESCRIPTION:Liam Ó Maonlaí \nFiachna Ó Braonáin \nPeter O’Toole \nDave Clarke \nMartin Brunsden  \nIn this occasional series\, leading Irish artists perform their landmark album and music from their career. \nAs the NCH Landmarks series continues to spotlight iconic albums at the National Concert Hall\, Hothouse Flowers take the stage for a special performance of a key album from their catalogue. On the night\, they will play Home in full\, giving fans the chance to hear a record that has remained central to their story. \nHothouse Flowers once unfairly described “difficult” second album Home\, released in 1990 was recorded between Dublin\, Borris\, London\, Monmouth and New Orleans jumping into studios or indeed setting up their own in an Irish country house setups grabbing the opportunities to record wherever the muse took them. It was a period of constant touring.. so that muse had to travel.. a lot! \nIt has become a favourite over the years with songs like “Christchurch Bells”\, “Give It Up” and their now classic version of “I Can See Clearly Now.” \nThe band look forward to presenting this album as part of the NCH Landmarks series as the songs live on and evolve in their musical repertoire in 2026! Taking it home and moving it onwards all at once. \nSomething amazing happens when Hothouse Flowers step onto the stage – something that has been shaped by over thirty years of singing and playing all over the world\, yet no two shows have ever been the same! There is a sense of musical adventure\, an impulse to reach new heights and depths in music where the unspoken aim is that the band and the audience become one and the world becomes a different place for a while. \nHothouse Flowers are a rock n’roll band\, Hothouse Flowers are a traditional band\, Hothouse Flowers are a soul band.. Hothouse Flowers are a jam band… \nDespite the bands lengthy career there is a sense of unfinished business. Every night they want to play the best gig they have ever played and take the musical risks that can maybe make that possible. There are still songs to be written and emotions to share. Whether it’s in a tiny club\, an arena or in a festival field there is a sense that the best is yet to come. \nHothouse Flowers have combined traditional Irish music with influences from soul\, gospel and rock since the group formed in 1985. Their debut album\, People\, was the most successful debut album in Ireland ever! \nPresented by NCH

SUMMARY:María José Llergo
DESCRIPTION:live tonite presents from Spain flamenco artist María José Llergo debut show in Ireland on 19 September 2026 at The Grand Social from 8 PM \n\n\n\n\nBorn in Pozoblanco\, a small town in rural Córdoba\, María José Llergo has grown into one of the most compelling figures in contemporary flamenco. Her sound draws from the tradition’s deepest roots\, particularly cante jondo \, while weaving in R&B and electronic production. \nHer debut EP\, Sanación (2020)\, established her as an artist with a clear point of view. Themes of identity\, cultural memory\, and injustice ran through the record\, underpinned by melismatic vocals and atmospheric production rooted in Romani cultural consciousness. \nThe full-length Ultrabelleza followed in 2023 to widespread critical acclaim. Rolling Stone included it among the 50 best Spanish-language albums of the year\, while The New York Times praised her unapologetic commitment to her Andalusian heritage. \nHer profile has grown steadily off the back of the music too.
