SUMMARY:Dylan John Thomas
DESCRIPTION:Forty million streams and 60\,000 tickets can’t be wrong. The numbers don’t lie\, and nor do the tunes – impassioned songs of love and regret\, faith and fatalism\, rejection and connection\, realism and idealism. \nAfter selling out six nights at the Barrowlands\, Dylan John Thomas is Scotland’s worst kept musical secret. From pavement to arena\, the DIY artist who did it all for himself\, all the way to a sell-out homecoming show at Glasgow’s 14\,300-capacity Ovo Hydro. A self-taught\, multi-instrumentalist\, mainlining the old-time rhythm of Johnny Cash (“boom-chicka-boom…”)\, the high-picking melodies of Simon & Garfunkel\, the lyrical poeticism of Leonard Cohen – but all retooled with a twentysomething’s freshness\, rigour and vigour\, and the ardent fandom to match. Boom-chicka-BOOM. \nHis second album\, Nothing Here Worth Taking\, was recorded at Magic Box studios over the past year with Scotty Anderson (The Snuts). Entirely written by Dylan\, with most of the instruments self-played too\, the 10-track set is a rousing\, carousing blast of brass\, blues\, banjo\, piano and classic\, retro-futureproof\, singalong songwriting. \nThat spirit is there in vivid form on lead single ‘Got You on My Mind’. The first song completed for the album\, it’s a banjo-and brass-driven anthem. “I got into banjo two years ago\, just after the first album came out\,” Dylan explains. “We went on a wee trip round Scotland\, and I took it with us. We were just kicking around\, playing all the old folk songs. And by the time it came to recording this album\, I’d written a couple of songs on it.”

SUMMARY:Ethan Regan
DESCRIPTION:Ethan Regan is just the troubadour Gen Z needs. He’s had a fair share of significant viral moments\, but he’s also anaccomplished and energe?c showman on stage\, giving performances I.R.L. that leave a las?ng mark. As asongwriter\, he’s both intensely introspec?ve and sharply self-aware\, espousing the importance of self-care withsensi?vity. In this respect\, he makes ?meless music with a modern mindset. Beyond playing instruments andsinging\, this CharloIe na?ve with a restless\, road-worn spirit personally grabs the reins and produces\, mixes\, andmasters his own songs. He has tallied nearly 100 million streams\, received cri?cal acclaim\, and cap?vated sold-outrooms as a proven headliner. Crea?vely\, he doesn’t follow a formula. You’re just as likelyto encounter a breezychord progression in one of his tunes as you are to hear a rowdy and boisterous horn sec?on or big screen-sizestrings. HiOng the road\, he shined on bills with Sam Barber and Rainbow KiIen Surprise as well as Chelsea Cutlerand Jeremy Zucker. Ethan’s self-produced 2025 EP\,honey honey honey\, saw him gain further trac?on with “get by”and “spaceman.” In the EP’s wake\, he canvased the country\, headlining his“I Almost Graduated”Tour and releasingthe likes of “fool” and “sweet hunger.”Looking forward\, his ar?stry remains an unapologe?c and unfilteredreflec?on of who he is. You’ll feel like you know him a liIle beIer on a series of 2026 singles for Columbia Recordsand his forthcoming debut album\, “YOUNG REGAN.”

SUMMARY:Jamie Duffy
DESCRIPTION:At just 25 years old\, Jamie Duffy has rapidly ascended to the elite tier of global multi instrumentalists\, amassing over 160 million streams on his debut single alone. Seamlessly bridging the gap between traditional and modern composition\, Jamie has become a formidable force on the international stage\, redefining what it means to be a “classical” artist in the 21st century. \nJamie’s transition from a viral sensation to a live powerhouse has been marked by a string of prestigious\, sold-out headline shows across the UK and Ireland\, including a landmark performance at Dublin’s National Concert Hall. His debut album has been met with equal acclaim\, breaking into the Top 10 of the Irish Official Charts and the UK Classical Charts. Notably\, Jamie held the distinction of being the only artist with an instrumental album on the Official Irish Charts\, a testament to his unique ability to captivate a mainstream audience. \nWhile his debut single ‘Solas’ provided a meteoric introduction to his sound\, the feature film ‘500 Miles’ is the perfect scoring debut for Jamie\, which showcases another side to his musical world. This world includes scoring projects and bespoke creative endeavours that sit between his primary artistic pursuits\, ensuring every note he releases contributes to an ever evolving and authentic journey.

SUMMARY:Martin Luke Brown
DESCRIPTION:“Start\, middle\, end\, start again.” Martin Luke Brown sings like it’s nothing on ‘highest high’\, but after a while\, we all come to realise that really\, that’s all there is. \nThere’s life\, and there’s death but in the middle\, there’s everything. There’s friendship\, love\, good kisses\, nights out you do or don’t remember\, meals shared\, flats rented. For Martin specifically\, the “etc.” is an amalgamation of hours aimlessly jamming with housemates\, new loves after lost ones\, and cars breaking down like ridiculous comedic relief in the chaos of it all. In an artistic world so obsessed with the extremes on either side\, his third album\, life & death etc refuses to wait for a moment of grandeur\, but instead finds them in the movement of it all – asking us to consider that what are maybe the most profound moments of our lives are often the simplest; conversations around dinner tables or time spent goofing around. \nAfter leaving behind the major label world and reinventing his career into one that allows him to live and work as much as possible with friends\, his artistry too exists right there. For this new release\, he once again returned to working with one of his best friends Matt Zara\, staying true to their partnership that is really little more than “hanging out\, playing music and whatever happens\, happens.” \nFrom that room\, where these two childhood friends seamlessly weave between harmonising and arguing\, stress and laughter\, work and play – the entire energy of life & death etc is encapsulated. \n“I think two people having fun\, especially being shit at something together\, is actually so much more magical\,” he said. Though himself and Grammy-nominated Zara are anything but “shit”\, it’s all in the motivation of the studio\, caring less about technicality as opposed to feel. As he’s moved through his career\, witnessing the industry at basically every level\, Martin finds himself becoming far less interested in proficiency. \nInstead\, it all lies in the energy\, reuniting him with his core belief of what music is all about. Growing up in the church with hymns and a community singing them\, Martin said “When people go to their first gigs people are singing along\, and there’s that euphoric feeling of ‘oh\, we’re all together’\, I had that in church. I think I misconstrued the power of music with the power of God. Or maybe it’s always been God all along\, who knows. ” \n  \nBut there was a take away from that. Going back to the very root of what music is for\, his latest work is inspired by music made by people for people. He said\, “it’s service orientated – I want to make music that serves people in some way.” \nIt drew him to another key influence that stayed on repeat during the making of the record – the infectiously human ‘Do I Ever Cross Your Mind’ by Chet Atkins and Dolly Parton\, a country ditty that collapses into laughter. “It’s goofy and silly and it makes people feel good and makes them want to dance around\,” he said\, ”But there’s sentimentality there\, a subtle depth. I think that’s such a good example of what music can be – joyous but still meaningful. Especially in times like these\, happiness or hope feel like an act of rebellion” \nIt hasn’t been long since we last heard from Martin. His previous record\, man oh man ! arrived just over a year ago\, but he’d grown sick of the strange\, stunting delay musicians have to live with. “I’m always keen to keep moving. It makes it easier to be in alignment with who I really am\, rather than festering in an old feeling for too long\,” Martin said\, rejecting the typical wait that forces artists to be promoting some old version of themselves. Deciding to simply make something new when the moment seemed to call for it\, he’s realised the value of immediacy and capturing the present. \n“I think if I zoom forward to when I’m like 80\, and I’m looking back at all the music I’ve ever done\, I would love each album to be time capsules of that time in my life\,” he said\, treating the records like photo albums\, or fleeting snapshots to feel and let go. “It’s such a dense time\, each year right now deserves an album at least” \nAcross all corners of his life\, that’s a mindset he’s practicing. “I think holding things loosely is such an important life skill\,” he said\, “whenever you grip on to something tightly it doesn’t serve anything. It doesn’t serve the thing that you’re holding on to. It just strangles it\, like poor fucking Lenny from of mice & men hahah” \nlife & death etc\, despite dealing with dense themes of heartbreak\, grief and purpose\, practices a loose grip – hence the flippancy of the title. “Yes my heart took a beating\, but it’s beating nonetheless\,” he sings on ‘nonetheless’\, refusing to grip white-knuckled to pain but instead surrendering to the heartache moving through him and the fact that life will move on despite it. On ‘back of my mind’\, he lets past loves linger as a whisper as it does exactly that\, singing\, “you’re not in my life no more\, but you’re still in the back of my mind.” At the album’s end\, ‘unlearning everything’ serves as both an elegy and a mission statement\, concluding simply “it’s right there in front of my eyes” as a devotion to simply witnessing and feeling the present as all there really is. \n“I think my flow is just writing and putting it out and writing and putting it out and writing and putting it out. Not overly editing or filtering or performing\, because that’s exhausting” he said. Across his three records\, his diary-like lyrical tone that serves that state best has been developing\, but never has it been more candid than here. \nDevoted to making music that sounds like him\, capturing tiny personal moments and somehow turning them into universal experiences\, Martin doesn’t shy away from wanting to bring us all together “That feeling you get at a show or a rave or church or a festival – that euphoria of feeling like you belong\, I want to spend my whole life in that feeling.” \nBOILERPLATE: \nThere’s life\, there’s death\, but everything else exists right here\, in the beautiful middle. After a while\, we all come to realise that really\, that’s all there is. In this new era\, Martin Luke Brown is drinking it all in. \nAfter years of navigating the industry from every angle\, the artist is rejecting rules\, structures and expectations to instead reunite with the community roots of what music is all about. Creating music and living life as “service orientated”\, he’s making art that exists as a time capsule of his own life. Leaving the edges rough and unedited as a show of devotion to the idea that what is most human is most universal. \nAsking us repeatedly to consider that perhaps the most profound moments are the ones right in front of us; the dinner table conversations\, the jokes with friends\, the hazy nights out\, Martin Luke Brown is now at his most candid\, and his most captivating.

SUMMARY:Duke Special
DESCRIPTION:Duke Special’s Songs from the Deep Forest returns for its 20th anniversary not just as a nostalgic revisit\, but as a quiet triumph of enduring artistry. What stands out most is how confidently the album still holds its identity—unapologetically whimsical\, tender\, and rich with imagination. \n  \nDuke Special’s songwriting feels even more special in hindsight. His ability to weave poetic storytelling with memorable\, piano-driven melodies gives the album a warmth that few records manage to sustain over time. His voice—distinctive\, expressive\, and full of character—draws you in completely\, making every lyric feel personal. \nRather than feeling dated\, the album’s understated arrangements now read as intentional and timeless. There’s a bravery in its softness\, a refusal to chase trends\, and that’s exactly why it resonates so deeply two decades later. This anniversary edition is less a reminder of the past and more a celebration of an artist whose vision has always been quietly extraordinary.

SUMMARY:DUG
DESCRIPTION:There’s a natural magnetism to DUG’s folk brew. The duo\, made up of Conor (Lorkin) O’Reilly and Jonny Pickett\, are gearing up for the release of their debut album\, having formed in 2023–but you’d be forgiven for believing that they’ve been writing together for a lifetime. \nTheir music stems from roots in musical traditions spanning both sides of the pond. In one breath\, echoing the great American folk troubadours\, and in another\, comfortably channelling the elder statesmen of Irish folk. \nThis is no accident. DUG have a shared musical heritage\, with members having been born in America and Scotland before arriving in Ireland. O’Reilly himself spent almost a decade making and releasing music in upstate New York\, having picked up sticks from his native Edinburgh\, (Irish mother and Scottish father) before moving to Ireland in 2022 to start a new musical chapter. \nAnd you can hear that lived musical experience in singles like ‘Big Sundown’ and ‘Jubilee’ (shortlisted for two Grammy nominations). Resonator guitar and banjo\, the building blocks of DUG’s arrangements\, lick and spin\, with intricate finger-picking patterns whirling to a compelling whole. Their music breathes\, vamping in sync. \nThey’re damn funny too. DUG’s lyrics catch you off guard\, eliciting an honest-to-goodness chuckle in a moment of levity. At their very best\, as on their forthcoming album\, there’s a bona fide warmth littered throughout their unique take on folk storytelling. Tracks like ‘Wheel of Fortune’ have an easy rapport.  It’s catching up with an old friend\, all mischief and smiles. \nThere are allusions to darker moments there too; yearning and melancholy\, to lessons learnt the hard way. Taking the heavy with the light\, and being able to translate it into a foot-tapping\, infectious contemporary folk sound is what DUG do best. They don’t need to posture; their music is naturally playful and honest\, inviting you along on their musical journey. \nDUG’s love for the musicians that inspired them never steps too far into reverence. They’re an unapologetically modern band. You’ll hear plenty of Irish influence in their music\, but you’ll not find any tweed coats or paddy caps here. Instead\, the band opts to be themselves-completely natural and organic. It’s part of what gives the group’s work such a strong charisma\, and helps establish DUG as having one of the most unique takes on contemporary folk music. \nIn 2024\, the duo signed to Claddagh Records\, a label in which they find themselves in fine musical company. A subsidiary of Universal Records\, Claddagh Records has spent the last few years becoming a hotbed for some of the most forward-thinking musicians in contemporary Irish folk\, home to artists like Niamh Bury\, Lemoncello\, and ØXN\, to name a few. \nIt should come as no surprise that a group that delights in a touch of devilment and so ardently remains true to themselves has built a thriving community of fans\, both at their live shows and through their often hilarious social media. \nOn that note\, beyond the release of their debut album\,  DUG will spend much of 2025 on the road with plans for an extensive international tour. Already announced are Summer dates in the US: Colorado (main stage at Telluride Blugrass Festival)\, Washington\, Portland and Idaho\, as well as a debut tour in Australia in October. Irish fans can expect a surely raucous performance at almost every major Irish festival this summer. There’s plenty more dates still to be announced\, so it’s well worth keeping your eyes peeled.

SUMMARY:Singular artist: THE BONES OF J.R. JONES
DESCRIPTION:Jonathon Linaberry looks back on Radio Waves\, his sixth album as The Bones Of J.R. Jones\, but there’s more than just nostalgia at play. Recorded with producer Robbie Lackritz (Feist\, Bahamas)\, the collection is moody and hypnotic\, drawing on the sonic landscape of Linaberry’s youth as it reckons with the doubt and uncertainty of adulthood. The arrangements are entrancing\, built on the tension between acoustic instruments and retro synthesizers\, and Linaberry’s performances are raw and visceral\, at times aching in their vulnerability. Put it all together and you’ve got a poignant exploration of memory and longing delivered by a relentless searcher\, a revelatory work of personal reflection rooted in the endless beauty\, pain\, and chaos of growing up. \nBorn in central New York\, Linaberry got his start playing in punk bands before becoming enamored with the field recordings of Alan Lomax. He launched The Bones of J.R. Jones in 2012 and began releasing a series of albums and EPs that would land his songs in films and TV shows like True Detective\, Suits\, and Daredevil\, and lead to countless tours across the US and Europe\, including stops everywhere from Telluride Blues to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. Along the way\, Linaberry would also share bills with the likes of The Wallflowers\, G. Love\, and The Devil Makes Three\, soundtrack an Amazon commercial helmed by Oscar-winning director Taika Waititi\, and earn praise from Billboard\, American Songwriter\, Under the Radar\, and more.

SUMMARY:Pokey LaFarge
DESCRIPTION:Singular Artists proudly presents Pokey LaFarge for a headline show in The Button Factory\, Dublin on Tuesday\, 9 March 2027. \nFor two decades\, Pokey LaFarge has walked his own effortlessly cool road as an exceptionally iconoclastic troubadour – forthright\, genuine\, and markedly keen to put it all out there. Rent Money now sees him pushing forward yet again in what can be safely declared his finest collection to date\, both as an heartfelt expression of personal experience and as no-nonsense social commentary. \nWith its twanging guitars\, plucky rhythms\, and undeniably captivating melodies\, the album soars and swings\, its joyous refrains belying the inescapable undercurrent of constant worry and angst that permeates these troubled times. \nAs always\, the Illinois native deftly traverses the genre boundaries\, seamlessly integrating the myriad strains of 20th-century American music with a freewheeling command of earnest songcraft\, inspired performance\, and subversive creativity. Rent Money stands tall as an indisputable high-water mark for Pokey LaFarge – a defining collection from a one-of-a-kind artist of rare ingenuity and uncommon candor\, now as ever\, determinedly crafting a sure-footed brand of deeply human music all his own. \n“People are always going to tell you what they think you should play\,” says Pokey LaFarge\, “what you should sing about\, how you should sound\, how you should look\, how you should act. And I’ve always just been like\, nah. Nope. I’ve just completely gone my own way\, and hopefully I’ve been honest and authentic in the process.” \n“I’m just trying to make music that AI can’t replicate. Things are so homogenised right now. That’s what I’m really\, really\, really resistant to\, especially when it comes to music. I’m not going to do it. I’m not going to conform.”

SUMMARY:Blanco White
DESCRIPTION:Blanco White is the solo project of Londoner Josh Edwards. After immersing himself in the study of flamenco guitar in Cádiz\, Spain\, and the charango (a traditional Andean instrument) in Sucre\, Bolivia\, Edwards began crafting a sound that bridges the gap between Latin American influences and his English roots. \nSince the project’s inception in 2014\, Blanco White has evolved from the haunting acoustic intimacy of 2016’s The Wind Rose EP to the expansive\, self-produced soundscapes of his debut album\, On The Other Side (2020). His music has captivated millions globally\, leading to high-profile support slots with icons such as Jose Gonzalez and Gregory Alan Isakov\, as well as sold-out headline tours across Europe and the United States. This highly anticipated show at 3Olympia promises to be an evocative evening of world-class musicianship. \nBlanco White is the brainchild of Josh Edwards. Drawing inspiration from his time in Spain and Bolivia\, Edwards creates atmospheric\, folk-infused music that utilizes the charango and classical guitar. With a discography spanning several acclaimed EPs and the 2020 album On The Other Side\, he has established himself as one of the most unique voices in modern indie-folk.
