SUMMARY:Kathy Prendergast: Stasis Field | Dublin by Dusk
DESCRIPTION:Kerlin Gallery is pleased to present Stasis Field\, an exhibition of sculpture\, work on paper and installation by Kathy Prendergast. \n  \n\n\n\n\nStasis Field features a selection of sculpture\, work on paper and installation\, offering an intimate experience that intertwines memory\, transformation\, and the passage of time. Prendergast uses an array of textile\, chalk\, stone\, fabric\, wool and found objects to create art that resonates on both personal and universal levels. \nSince the beginning of her career\, maps have been a core element of Prendergast’s practice. Reimagining maps through artistic intervention\, Prendergast subverts historic symbols of power\, identity and exploration\, creating works that reflect more personal and emotional narratives. Included in Stasis Field are hand-coloured works which invite viewers to reflect on human connections to land\, borders\, and the histories they carry. Pigmented chalk\, gouache and watercolour create a saturated geological installation\, merging hand sculpted objects with collected cartography. In Stasis unites the physical and emotional\, featuring a collection of colourful hand-painted volcanic maps\, creating a kaleidoscopic reinterpretation of the peaks Chimbarazo to Mount Kenya. Through colour\, the static arial views radiate an energetic sense of movement. In Comet\, rust coloured string radiates from an encased roll of fabric and wool. A carefully placed pattern of stones sit on the webbed string\, some like small anchors\, others seemingly guiding the material further. Elsewhere against the gallery wall\, a painted red branch stretches three metres high\, coupled with a vibrant painted arial of Cotopaxi\, Ecudaor.

SUMMARY:William Blake: The age of Romantic Fantasy | Dublin by Dusk
DESCRIPTION:William Blake\, a visionary artist and poet\, was a defining force in Romanticism. His imaginative and unconventional works continue to inspire today. This exhibition\, curated by Tate in partnership with the National Gallery of Ireland\, presents a selection of Blake’s most iconic works of art\, alongside paintings and drawings by his contemporaries. \nBlake’s world was one of fantasy\, imagination\, and the ancient past\, filled with fantastical creatures and visions of the underworld\, expressed through a wide variety of media. By placing him in context – among the artists he admired and those he inspired – the exhibition offers insight into an era of extraordinary originality and innovation in late-eighteenth and early nineteenth-century art. Featuring over 100 works\, including by James Barry (1741–1806)\, Henry Fuseli (1741–1825)\, John Hamilton Mortimer (1740–1779)\, Thomas Rowlandson (1757–1827)\, and J.M.W. Turner (1775–1851)\, the show explores how artists responded to a time of revolution and transformation\, pushing the boundaries of their art into new imaginative territories. \nOrganised in collaboration with Tate. \nCurated by Anne Hodge\, Curator of Prints and Drawings at the National Gallery of Ireland and Alice Insley\, Curator of British Art c. 1730 – 1850 at Tate. \nThis exhibition is supported by The William Blake Giving Circle.  \nThe Gallery would like to thank the Department of Culture\, Communications and Sport for their ongoing support.

SUMMARY:M.O.P: 25th Anniversary of Warriorz
DESCRIPTION:M.O.P. (Mash Out Posse) are one of the most uncompromising and explosive duos in hip-hop history. Consisting of Billy Danze (born Eric Murray) and Lil’ Fame (born Jamal Grinnage)\, M.O.P. emerged from the hard concrete of Brownsville\, Brooklyn\, New York—an environment that shaped both their sound and their worldview. Their music is raw\, aggressive\, and brutally honest\, channeling street reality into high-energy hardcore hip-hop that has earned them legendary status worldwide. \nM.O.P. first made waves in the early 1990s\, quickly standing out for their no-frills delivery\, militant intensity\, and unfiltered lyricism. Their debut album To the Death (1994) laid the foundation for their reputation as one of the toughest acts in the game. But it was the release of Warriorz in 2000 that cemented their legacy\, featuring timeless anthems like Ante Up\, Cold As Ice\, and “Warriorz”—tracks that remain adrenaline-fueled classics to this day. \nTheir signature sound blends ferocious vocal performances with gritty\, sample-driven production\, creating music that feels like a rallying cry from the streets. M.O.P.’s influence reaches far beyond album sales: they have collaborated with countless artists\, appeared on major soundtracks\, and inspired generations of MCs who value authenticity over trends. \n25 Years of Warriorz Tour \nTo celebrate the 25th anniversary of Warriorz\, M.O.P. are returning to the stages of Europe with the 25 Years of Warriorz Tour—harder\, louder\, and more relentless than ever before. Since the mid 1990s\, Lil’ Fame and Billy Danze have stood for pure\, unfiltered hardcore hip-hop\, and few acts can match their unique blend of raw energy\, military-style pressure\, and street poetry. \n\nThis tour is a tribute to a quarter-century of uncompromising hip-hop. Fans can expect a set packed with classic bangers\, unexpected moments\, and a stage presence that has set standards for 25 years. Tracks like “Ante Up\,” “Cold As Ice\,” and “Warriorz” don’t just get played—they detonate\, turning venues into pressure cookers of sweat\, movement\, and collective energy. \n\nM.O.P. live is not nostalgia—it’s impact. Their shows are legendary: brutal\, electrifying\, and intensely physical. From the first beat to the last shout\, they deliver with a force that leaves no room for compromise. M.O.P. are back. \nNot a concert. \nNot an event. \nA damn experience.

SUMMARY:'Death of a Naturalist'\, Sixty Years On | An Anniversary Lecture from Dr Rosie Lavan
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again Saturday 24th May at 2pm for a fascinating talk from Dr Rosie Lavan of Trinity College Dublin on Seamus Heaney’s first and most beloved collection\, Death of a Naturalist\, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of its publication. \nDeath of a Naturalist gained fame for Heaney as he movingly describes his journey from innocence to experience and from his rural upbringings in Co. Derry to the urban world of Belfast. Dr Lavan will discuss the book’s journey towards publication\, looking at how some of Heaney’s most cherished poems – including ‘Digging’\, ‘Twice Shy’ and ‘Death of a Naturalist’ – made their first appearances in British magazines including the New Statesman and Vogue\, where they can be found in some intriguing contexts. To do so\, she will draw on some of the most special items in our collection\, such as the letter from Faber & Faber telling Heaney that Death of a Naturalist had been accepted for publication.

SUMMARY:BRIAN HORGAN
DESCRIPTION:Singer-songwriter Brian Horgan hails from Enniscorthy\, the town of Colm Tobin\, Vinegar Hill\, Eileen Grey and Annie Jameson (mother to the inventor of the radio; Marconi) the River Slaney and the 10th Century historic Norman castle. \nBrian’s debut album ‘Start Again’ is rooted in the place where he grew up. He’s taught English in Europe\, worked as the Development Director in Dublin’s Abbey Theatre and has been involved in Music/Theatre/Arts all around the globe. He is also CX Director at the CX Academy and owner of Horgan Consultancy. \nHe’s home again\, for now. Not quite starting again but taking a step back and reflecting. Releasing the album he always thought he could\, and should. His songwriting and music are instinctive and well-received\, with people asking if he had anything on record? \nBrian’s passion is to sing\, to write\, to perform something unique. Something all his own. Personal\, most certainly\, but also connective and relatable. The thoughts and the sometimes travails of a lived experience. His listeners are in his songs. \nBrian’s played live with his band in sold-out shows at The Sugar Club\, No. 10 Ormond Quay\, Smock Alley\, Bewleys Café Theatre and The Abbey Theatre. Also in New York City as an invited guest performer of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA). \nHe’s no ‘Small Voice’\, he isn’t a balladeer in the corner of your local. Not your typical ‘Singer/Songwriter’ in the typical fashion. (Much as we all love that…) There’s a bit more to Brian Horgan. He’s taken this long to create ‘Start Again’\, thought a great deal about it. He’s where it has led him and we’re invited along. \nBrian Horgan says\, “It is all simply a journey of love and experience even (or especially) in its difficult moments”.
