Drawing on influences from Impressionism\, Graffiti and Street Art\, O’Flynn has developed a distinctive visual language that captures the atmosphere\, light and emotional resonance of fleeting experiences. His paintings invite viewers to reflect on the unseen qualities that shape our perception of the world. \nOriginally from Galway and now based in Dublin\, John O’Flynn’s works explore themes of landscape\, light\, introspection and the rhythms of everyday life. She rose to critical acclaim from her debut album First Prize Bravery\, which was an evocative depiction of young adulthood\, a time during which she ventured from home in Dublin to New York\, Los Angeles and back again. Her follow up album Smiling Like an Idiot cemented her status as one of Ireland’s most revered songwriters and saw her tour North America\, Europe and Australia\, both as a headliner and as a special guest for artists such as Snow Patrol\, Mitski and Dermot Kennedy. \nShe returns this September 2026 with her third album\, Draw The Outline. Made after relocating to West Kerry\, it’s her most intimate and reflective record to date – trading synth-led textures for acoustic guitar\, woodwinds\, saxophone\, Hammond organ and piano\, and turning her gaze inward. \nBrigid Mae Power (27th August)\n \nBrigid Mae Power’s music never quite settles on solid ground. The Irish singer-songwriter sits between past and present\, between traditional and modern forms\, between the heaven in her voice and the earthbound epiphanies of her words. There’s something distinctively Irish in her sound\, delivered with a freshness and emotional rawness that feels entirely her own. \nShe’s released three albums to date\, including her acclaimed 2022 record Head Above the Water\, which was Rough Trade’s Album of the Month and earned praise from Pitchfork\, Mojo\, Uncut\, The Guardian and The Irish Times. Her albums blend traditional folk and country into something that feels both personal and wide-reaching. \nHer most recent record\, Songs for You\, is a heartfelt collection of covers dedicated to her father\, reworking songs by Roy Orbison\, Tom Verlaine\, Neil Young and Cass McCombs into something minimal\, intimate and entirely her own. \nEfé (24th September)\n \nEFÉ is an Irish artist hailing from Dublin. EFÉ released her debut EP What Should We Do This Summer in October 2020 which was recorded in her bedroom with the help of her friends. Her music is a sunny slice of bedroom pop\, evoking images of blue skies on a summer’s day using shimmering synth pads and funky\, modulated guitar tones. EFÉ sets herself apart from other artists with the unique and playful groove that provides the grounding for her DIY style\, and definitely marks her as one to watch from the emerging Irish scene. Her music is effortlessly nostalgic\, pulling on indie-tinged memories of the late 1990s and early 2000s. \nAfter signing to US label Fader; home to artists such as Clairo – she leaned further into her rock influences for her most recent single releases in 2024\, Truth Truth\, 2000Seven and you say that I’m crazy\, lo-fi indie tracks that make space for guitars to soar. As she puts it\, “In earlier projects I was scared to go full force with the rock sound\, but this year I thought\, let me just do it.” \nSaoirse Miller (29th October)\n \nSaoirse Miller is a Dublin-based singer-songwriter and producer whose music is rooted in Irish folklore and mythology and a lifelong fascination with the otherworldly. Her sound – spanning experimental folk\, ambient textures and ethereal vocal production – is less about genre and more about world-building\, creating somewhere else entirely to disappear into. \nInfluenced by Florence and the Machine\, Grouper\, Lisa O’Neill and the poetry of W.B. Yeats\, Saoirse writes songs that transform personal feeling into something mythic. Her connection to place runs deep – her grandparents are from Mizen Head in West Cork\, and it’s a landscape she returns to again and again\, in her music as much as in life. \nHer debut EP\, Birds\, was written and produced entirely by Saoirse herself\, with each track designed to blend and interlude into the next as one continuous body of work. Mixed and mastered to tape by Karl Barnes\, Birds channels Irish traditional music and folklore through an electroacoustic lens\, resulting in a sound that feels both faded and familiar. \nAbout Laura Twagirayezu\nRwandan-born and Dublin-based\, Laura is a curator\, DJ and cultural connector whose work consistently brings depth and warmth to questions of music\, identity and community. Whether she’s hosting her own Lobby Lectures series\, curating listening events through her gallery UMUTI:MA\, or moving between Afrobeats\, Amapiano\, Soul and R&B in the DJ booth – she understands music as a lens. 6 Tracks is a natural home for that kind of conversation. \nAbout Sally Cinnamon\nSally Cinnamon is one of Dublin’s most well known DJs\, a fixture of Dublin’s nightlife since 2001. Her sets are genre-spanning by design\, moving fluidly between afrobeat\, techno and dubstep\, with a strong undercurrent of retro and psychedelic sound that gives her selections a relatability for all. Thus\, delivering a continuous\, collaborative flow of original work. \nPlease note: This is a very limited ticketed event. \nSteve O’Toole\nA street stalking creative\, poet\, storyteller\, artist\, and the creative force behind The Write Stuff. Not one to sit on the fence\, Steve firmly wears both his heart & mind on his sleeve\, delivering forceful versed commentary by the page full. Originally performing in the mid 90’s as support to Irish writer ‘Pat Ingoldsby’. It was early 2023\, when Steve returned after a far too long hiatus. Since then\, he has gone on to read & perform at The International Literary Festival\, The Dublin Arts & Human Rights Festival\, The Bram Stoker Festival\, Culture Nights\, Craicly Stories\, and curate & host The Write Stuff gatherings at Chapters Bookstore\, and other Dublin city venues. \nLuke Clerkin\nAn award-winning singer songwriter from Tallaght whose music has taken him from major festivals like Electric Picnic\, Body & Soul\, and Stendhal to headline shows at iconic Irish venues including Whelan’s and The Workman’s Club. His music has been featured by outlets including Hot Press and RTÉ\, with airplay across Ireland and the UK. Following the critically acclaimed release of his debut album Orpheus in 2025\, Luke performed sold out shows in Dublin and Germany\, appeared at Electric Picnic and Regard Belfast\, and closed the year sharing the stage with Bono\, Glen Hansard and Imelda May at the famous Christmas Eve Busk. He is currently working on new material and exciting collaborations set for release throughout the second half of 2026. \nDanila\nAn Italian singer/songwriter based in Dublin. She started off as a singer\, then added the ukulele to put her own spin on covers. Now\, she writes songs about self-love\, self-acceptance\, all in a soft and honest package. \nSean Corrigan\nA sporty lad first and foremost\, who in recent years sought an alternative form of self-expression and found it through poetry and fashion. His poetry is written with the aim of creating and maintaining a rhythm more so than through as an outlet of impressive vocabulary\, as one can tell from this bio! A far cry from abstract poetry; will hit every nail on the head and use every cliche to create an image. Has spoken at events such as ‘Slip of the Tongue\,’ ‘Seanchoice\,’ ‘Sunflower Sessions\,’ and ‘Smithfield Creatives.’ \nThe James Joyce Centre is supported by the Department of Culture\, Communications\, and Sport.

DESCRIPTION:In an age of infinite scrolling and endless image production\, what happens when we stop consuming images and begin entering into conversation with them? \nResponding to Afterimage: Photography in the Digital Age\, this workshop explores analogue collage as a practice of slow looking\, personal reflection and creative inquiry. \nWorking with found photographs\, participants will cut\, rearrange and recontextualise existing images. Rather than beginning with a fixed idea\, you will be encouraged to follow your instincts and discover meaning through the process of selecting\, placing and layering imagery. As unexpected themes\, memories and associations begin to emerge\, collage invites a different question: not simply “What do I want to make?” but “What is trying to reveal itself?” \nWorking by hand offers a way to interrupt the speed at which we usually encounter images. The tactile process of cutting and composing creates space to notice the photographs before us\, as well as our own patterns\, instincts and ways of seeing. \nThrough a series of guided prompts\, participants will explore symbolism\, composition and visual storytelling while creating an original collage to take home. \nThe workshop will consider collage as both an artistic practice and a method of inquiry: a way of thinking with images and uncovering meaning through making. \nNo previous artistic experience is necessary. All materials will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring copies of personal photographs or printed imagery to incorporate into their collage.

DESCRIPTION:Join curator Dr Linda King for a tour and discussion of the exhibition ‘Come Fly with Me: Aviation\, tourism and Irish design’. \n‘Come Fly with Me’ looks at the developing design landscape in Ireland during the 1940s\, 50s\, and 60s through the lens of aviation and tourism-related graphic design. With the arrival of a number of skilled Dutch graphic designers in Ireland in the mid-twentieth century\, depictions of Ireland and Irishness were forever changed. The central role of Aer Lingus\, Dublin Airport\, and other associated groups in the development of Irish graphic design is examined\, showing how our desire to reach the skies brought design to new heights. \nSupported by the Department of Culture\, Communications and Sport through the After Hours at the Museum Scheme. \nBooking essential. \nNote: This tour will be conducted in the temporary exhibition space on the Mezzanine level\, which is regrettably not accessible to wheelchair users.

DESCRIPTION:14 Henrietta Street presents Teatime Talks a series of talks inspired by the history and people of 14 Henrietta Street. By listening and engaging with visitors\, historians\, experts\, local people\, former tenement residents and their families\, they continue to uncover\, record and respond to the 300 year story of 14 Henrietta Street. \n\nThe Plough and the Stars is one of the most celebrated (and most controversial) plays ever staged in the Abbey Theatre\, which has at times had as turbulent a history as the play itself. This talk by Historian in Residence Caitlin White marks the 75th anniversary of the fire that damaged the original building and explores Sean O’Casey’s Dublin masterpiece\, set in a Dublin tenement\, and its legacy in the Abbey.\n\nThis talk will take place in person on the 1st floor of the Museum and can be accessed via lift.
