SUMMARY:CYCLOPS
DESCRIPTION:Adapted and directed by Liam Hourican \nWith live period music from two acclaimed musicians! \nLeopold Bloom finds himself in the proverbial lion’s den of Barney Kiernan’s\, subjected to the simmering antisemitism of the blinkered Citizen and a jeering entourage. A toxic mix of heavy drinking\, Dublin pub banter and political discourse culminates in an explosion of xenophobic violence and an assault with a biscuit tin. \nIn CYCLOPS\, Volta draws on its roots in cabaret and sketch comedy to conjure Joyce at his comedic best. \nAfter three sold-out runs of its critically-acclaimed Counterparts & A Little Cloud\, Volta Theatre Company returns to Bewley’s Café Theatre with an adaptation of the CYCLOPS chapter from Ulysses\, as part of the Bloomsday Festival 2026. Accompanied by a live band Joyce’s riotous and timely satire on Irish nationalism and Dublin drinking culture leaps blisteringly from the page.

SUMMARY:Midsomer Murders – The Killings at Badger’s Drift
DESCRIPTION:Murder comes to the countryside in the theatrical world premiere of the critically acclaimed television favourite Midsomer Murders. \nWhen well-loved spinster Emily Simpson is found dead in the picturesque village of Badger’s Drift\, her friend Lucy Bellringer refuses to accept it was an accident. DCI Tom Barnaby and Sergeant Gavin Troy are called in to investigate\, uncovering a world of hidden passions\, long-buried secrets and deadly rivalries. \nWith eccentric villagers\, shocking twists and an unforgettable reveal\, The Killings at Badger’s Drift is a classic whodunnit that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Bringing to life the wit\, charm and chilling suspense of the beloved TV series and original series of books\, this gripping and thrilling new show is set to delight audiences. \nDaniel Casey\, who created the role of Sergeant Troy in ITV’s Midsomer Murders\, now returns to play the role of Inspector Tom Barnaby. Daniel’s recent television credits include Emmerdale\, EastEnders and Coronation Street. Daniel’s recent theatre credits include Bernard in Yes\, Prime Minister (Theatre Clywd)\, Laurence in Abigail’s Party (UK Tour) and Roger in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time (National Theatre). \nSpend an evening in England’s deadliest county… \nWritten and directed by Guy Unsworth\, this new theatrical adaptation is based on the book by Caroline Graham The Killings at Badger’s Drift and the television series Midsomer Murders produced by Bentley Productions [for ITV] in association with All3 Media International.

SUMMARY:The Whiteheaded Boy
DESCRIPTION:“ – Glory be to God! Is it notions she has? – Aye\, notions. But they’re notions that cost me money!” \n\n\nThe table is set for Denis\, arriving home from Dublin where he’s studying Medicine at Trinity College – a source of enormous pride for his besotted mother and of great resentment to his five other siblings. \nBut when word comes that he may have failed his exams again\, the final straw breaks. Threats of deportation\, lawsuits\, bribes and counter-bribes escalate\, as the family twist the fate of their whiteheaded boy to suit themselves. Never mind about the girls. \nA smash hit when it premiered at the Abbey Theatre 110 years ago\, Lennox Robinson’s The Whiteheaded Boy is a raucous\, high-stakes tug-of-war between a generation who will do anything to keep their standing in the town and the young\, who just want to be free to do what they want to do. \nAward-winning director Annie Ryan re-imagines this bawdy and bold Irish classic with a contemporary eye and a sharp feminist wink to the past. Notions abound!

A few weeks later on November 8 she made her SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE hosting debut with musical guest Sombr. \n2024 was a career redefining year for Glaser\, culminating with being named “Comedian of the Year” by The New York Times and one of the TIME100: The Most Influential People of 2025. In film\, Nikki has a slate of highly anticipated projects on the horizon. Next\, she will star\, alongside Kim Kardashian\, in Eva Longoria’s Netflix comedy THE FIFTH WHEEL written by Paula Pell and Janine Brito. She will also co-write\, produce and star in an original comedy inspired by the classic game MASH for Paramount Pictures. This SLIDING DOORS-style comedy follows a woman whose childhood MASH game magically becomes reality\, and she discovers that the perfect life isn’t the one she imagined. Additionally\, she will star in\, co-write and produce a new romantic comedy for Universal Pictures with Judd Apatow producing. \nFollowing the success of her Critics Choice Award-nominated HBO standup special\, GOOD CLEAN FILTH in 2022\, Glaser’s highly anticipated second HBO comedy special\, SOMEDAY YOU’LL DIE premiered in May 2024 to a record-breaking audience. It set the record for both the best premiere night for an HBO comedy special in more than two years and for the #1 largest streaming audience for a Comedy Special in HBO Max/Max history. Glaser was nominated for an Emmy® Award for “Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded)\,” a Grammy® Award for “Best Comedy Album\,” a Golden Globe® Award for “Best Performance in a Stand-Up Comedy on Television\,” a Critics Choice Award for “Best Comedy Special” and a WGA Award for “Comedy/Variety Special\,” which she won. Glaser also wrote and performed “Someday You’ll Die” the special’s theme song that is available on all streaming platforms. The single was recorded in Glaser’s hometown of St. Louis with producers Dan Monahan and Tim Convy. Released by Bailey Blues in partnership with Redbird Records\, the track shows a different side of Glaser\, but fans of her comedy will recognize her trademark wit and authenticity throughout the lyrics. \nGlaser was also the undeniable standout on Netflix’s Emmy®-nominated THE GREATEST ROAST OF ALL TIME: TOM BRADY which earned her viral attention and reinstated her title as “the best roaster on the planet” according to Indiewire. The roast aired live and unedited on Netflix from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on May 5\, 2024. Glaser can currently be seen on her ALIVE AND UNWELL tour across the US\, Canada and Australia through October 2025\, after wrapping her global THE GOOD GIRL tour in 2024. \nFrom March 2021 to March 2025\, Glaser hosted THE NIKKI GLASER PODCAST for iHeartMedia and Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players Network\, where she provided a fun and brutally honest look into pop-culture and her personal life in weekly episodes.  THE NIKKI GLASER PODCAST was nominated for “Best Comedy” by the 2025 iHeart Podcast Awards. \nNikki hosts and executive produces LOVERS AND LIARS (formerly FGIRL ISLAND)\, which premiered on the CW on April 11\, 2024. LOVERS AND LIARS is the female spinoff of the hit HBO Max reality dating series FBOY ISLAND\, which Nikki hosted and executive produced for three seasons. The Washington Post hailed FBOY ISLAND as “deliciously twisty” and TIME called it a “compelling and clever masterpiece” with “smart execution” noting that\, “An advisor to the women and a gentle antagonist to the FBoys\, Glaser\, a comedian\, brings just the right level of self-aware humor.” Season one of FBOY ISLAND had the biggest premiere weekend for an HBO Max Original reality series since the platform’s launch. \nNikki took her love of reality TV to the next level by starring in\, and executive producing\, the E! half-hour reality sitcom WELCOME HOME NIKKI GLASER? Uprooted from her fast-paced Hollywood lifestyle\, Nikki returns to her hometown of St. Louis where she embarks on a hilarious and often uncomfortable journey of self-discovery. Unfiltered\, relatable\, and unapologetically herself\, Nikki navigates friends\, family\, and romance as a homegrown local celebrity. Previously\, Nikki flexed her over-sharing muscle as the host of Comedy Central’s first live daily morning show\, YOU UP WITH NIKKI GLASER for SiriusXM\, which ran from February 2018 to October 2020. Nikki’s most recent Netflix comedy special\, BANGIN’\, was released in October 2019. BANGIN’ was the most watched special on Netflix when it premiered. Nikki hosted\, co-created and executive produced the critically acclaimed and daring comedic show\, NOT SAFE WITH NIKKI GLASER\, for Comedy Central and NIKKI & SARA LIVE for MTV. \nNikki was a standout on three Comedy Central Roasts\, including those of Bruce Willis and Rob Lowe\, which led to her guest-hosting JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE! and hosting the inaugural edition of the 2021 MTV MOVIE & TV AWARDS: UNSCRIPTED\, which earned her stellar reviews.  She also had memorable film and television roles in Judd Apatow’s TRAINWRECK\, NBC’s AP BIO and INSIDE AMY SCHUMER\, amongst others. In November 2022 Nikki was a triumph coming in third place on the ninth season of the hit FOX series THE MASKED SINGER. \nNikki has multiple stand-up specials and late-night tv appearances in which she jokes about her most humiliating moments as a woman in the modern world. Nikki’s past and current struggles with anorexia\, depression\, and anxiety are fair game in both her stand-up\, and in-depth interviews with THE HOWARD STERN SHOW\, WTF with MARC MARON\, CONAN O ́BRIEN NEEDS A FRIEND and THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE. She has become a complete open book on mic for the laughs and as the empowering voice for women that she yearned for as a confused adolescent.

SUMMARY:Baliza
DESCRIPTION:Baliza is a music project born from the creative union of Gon Massey from Barcelona and Anxo Silveira from Galicia. The duo met while performing Spanish music on the streets of Dublin\, Ireland back in 2023. Their shared passion for music and their cultural background quickly evolved into a project that has captivated the Spanish community in Ireland. \nWith a unique sound that blends heartfelt storytelling with an unmistakable energy\, the duo is ready to explore new territories. Baliza isn’t just a band—it’s an experience. Their performances\, or better known as “Balizadas”\, are as much about connection and energy as they are about music. \n“The duo managed to gather between 500 and 600 people on the streets of Dublin. “They must have represented 40% of the Spanish population living in the city\,” said the band’s drummer.” – La Opinión A Coruña \n“When you go abroad\, you appreciate everything that reminds you of your country. Even if you are far away\, it is nice to feel that you can share things that you cannot with people from the country.” – Huffpost

SUMMARY:Foggy Notions presents Nerves
DESCRIPTION:Nerves return with their first new music of 2026 in the form of “N26”\, a sharp\, anxious blast that captures the band at their most immediate and confrontational. \nOriginally formed in County Mayo and now based in Dublin\, Nerves have steadily built a reputation as one of Ireland’s most uncompromising live acts. Their shows feel less like performances and more like pressure points\, all volume\, tension and release\, earning them tours alongside some of the buzziest new names in the circuit\, Maruja and Gurriers\, as well as shows with noise-rock royalty\, The Jesus Lizard. That word of mouth has been matched by growing critical support from Kerrang!\, The Line of Best Fit\, CLASH\, Cvlt Nation\, Louder Than War\, Hot Press\, Rough Trade\, Metal Sucks and vairous playback across BBC Radio 6. \nTheir 2025 EP Iarmhaireacht marked a turning point. A record rooted in atmosphere and narrative as much as abrasion\, it traced a line between rural memory and present day unease\, pairing archival textures with tightly wound\, industrial-leaning arrangements. It introduced a broader emotional range to the band’s sound without sacrificing any of its force\, and positioned \nNerves as something more expansive than a noise rock outlier. \n“N26” feels like a direct continuation of that trajectory\, but with the dial pushed further into the red. Produced once again by Daniel Fox of Gilla Band\, the track condenses their approach into three relentless minutes. There are traces of techno in its pulse\, but it lands with the blunt impact of noise rock\, drawing a line between the mechanical and the visceral. \nLyrically\, the song confronts the slow erosion of rural Irish towns\, where opportunity thins out and younger generations are left in suspension. It is a theme that ran beneath Iarmhaireacht\, but here it is brought into sharper focus\, less abstract\, more accusatory. The result is a track that feels both personal and systemic\, urgent without losing its sense of place. \nWith more new music expected across 2026\, “N26” arrives as a clear opening statement. On stage\, that momentum is already underway\, including a headline appearance at the tenth anniversary of Supersonic Festival\, signalling a year that looks set to push the band further beyond the margins they first emerged from.

SUMMARY:CHRIS BRAIN
DESCRIPTION:Chris Brain is a Yorkshire-based folk singer-songwriter whose work sits firmly in the British pastoral tradition\, shaped by close attention to place\, memory and emotional nuance. His fourth album\, Red Sun Rising (2026)\, is a quietly powerful collection of songs centred on yearning\, restlessness and the desire for change \nRooted in acoustic textures and intimate storytelling\, Red Sun Rising feels like a record made in motion: landscapes shifting\, seasons turning\, inner lives gently unsettled. Brain’s songwriting balances melody and restraint. \nA familiar voice on BBC Radio 6 Music and the BBC Radio 2 Folk Show\, Chris Brain has toured extensively across the UK and internationally\, including a seven-date sold-out tour of Japan. In 2026\, he returns with a UK & Ireland tour to accompany the release of Red Sun Rising. \n“There are shades of the master Ralph McTell here and I can think of no greater compliment than that\, I love It” – Mark Radcliffe\, BBC 2 Folk Show

SUMMARY:Foggy Notions Presents the Kitty Craft
DESCRIPTION:Kitty Craft is Pamela Valfer. \nDebuting in 1994 with the S/T cassette release on the Australian\,Toytown label\, and IT’S STUPID EP 7″ in 1995\, Pam’s sound was originally a low-tech affair. 1997’s I GOT RULEZ EP 7” expanded her sound with keys & sampler\, leading to 1998 release of BEATS & BREAKS ROM THE FLOWER PATCH. In 2000\, her 2nd full-length album\, CATSKILLS. Both albums had Japanese tours and Japanese CD releases. \nAround 2003/2004 after the completion of her 3rd Album… Pam dropped the mic\, hung up her headphones\, and put kitty craft into hibernation. The album was put down\, filed away\, and no plans to be heard. Pam then focused on her visual and multimedia art\, and career as an art professor. \nIn 2019\, kitty craft woke from hibernation and quietly without fanfare\, released “Beats and Breaks from the Flower Patch” and “Catskills” on all\nstreaming & digital platforms. Followed soon after by “Lost Tapes”\, a gem of an album\, comprised exclusively of the previously unreleased\nsongs recorded as a full album in 2003. \nIn some kind of pandemic zeitgeist\, along with stuff like Lofi Girl/ChilledCow\, a 90’s aesthetic resurgence\, and the popularity of new and old vinyl records – kitty craft has been adopted by a whole new group of digital natives. Amazing and unexpected. \nValentine’s Day 2022 brought us kitty craft’s first full-length LP vinyl record… MEW (1994-2004)\, an anthology album with tracks spanning all\nher eras… MEW\, shows an artist with a clear vision from the start. \nSince then – the Kitty Craft discography has been re-issued in expanded/deluxe CD and vinyl editions. And some cassettes too! \nIn November of 2024\, Los Angeles – Pam played her first show in 20+ years to an incredible response. Now 2025 and touring in earnest\, Kitty\nCraft’s new young fans have created a wonderful and welcoming scene. You should come say hi.
