She rose to critical acclaim from her debut album First Prize Bravery\, which was an evocative depiction of young adulthood\, a time during which she ventured from home in Dublin to New York\, Los Angeles and back again. Her follow up album Smiling Like an Idiot cemented her status as one of Ireland’s most revered songwriters and saw her tour North America\, Europe and Australia\, both as a headliner and as a special guest for artists such as Snow Patrol\, Mitski and Dermot Kennedy. \nShe returns this September 2026 with her third album\, Draw The Outline. Made after relocating to West Kerry\, it’s her most intimate and reflective record to date – trading synth-led textures for acoustic guitar\, woodwinds\, saxophone\, Hammond organ and piano\, and turning her gaze inward. \nBrigid Mae Power (27th August)\n \nBrigid Mae Power’s music never quite settles on solid ground. The Irish singer-songwriter sits between past and present\, between traditional and modern forms\, between the heaven in her voice and the earthbound epiphanies of her words. There’s something distinctively Irish in her sound\, delivered with a freshness and emotional rawness that feels entirely her own. \nShe’s released three albums to date\, including her acclaimed 2022 record Head Above the Water\, which was Rough Trade’s Album of the Month and earned praise from Pitchfork\, Mojo\, Uncut\, The Guardian and The Irish Times. Her albums blend traditional folk and country into something that feels both personal and wide-reaching. \nHer most recent record\, Songs for You\, is a heartfelt collection of covers dedicated to her father\, reworking songs by Roy Orbison\, Tom Verlaine\, Neil Young and Cass McCombs into something minimal\, intimate and entirely her own. \nEfé (24th September)\n \nEFÉ is an Irish artist hailing from Dublin. EFÉ released her debut EP What Should We Do This Summer in October 2020 which was recorded in her bedroom with the help of her friends. Her music is a sunny slice of bedroom pop\, evoking images of blue skies on a summer’s day using shimmering synth pads and funky\, modulated guitar tones. EFÉ sets herself apart from other artists with the unique and playful groove that provides the grounding for her DIY style\, and definitely marks her as one to watch from the emerging Irish scene. Her music is effortlessly nostalgic\, pulling on indie-tinged memories of the late 1990s and early 2000s. \nAfter signing to US label Fader; home to artists such as Clairo – she leaned further into her rock influences for her most recent single releases in 2024\, Truth Truth\, 2000Seven and you say that I’m crazy\, lo-fi indie tracks that make space for guitars to soar. As she puts it\, “In earlier projects I was scared to go full force with the rock sound\, but this year I thought\, let me just do it.” \nSaoirse Miller (29th October)\n \nSaoirse Miller is a Dublin-based singer-songwriter and producer whose music is rooted in Irish folklore and mythology and a lifelong fascination with the otherworldly. Her sound – spanning experimental folk\, ambient textures and ethereal vocal production – is less about genre and more about world-building\, creating somewhere else entirely to disappear into. \nInfluenced by Florence and the Machine\, Grouper\, Lisa O’Neill and the poetry of W.B. Yeats\, Saoirse writes songs that transform personal feeling into something mythic. Her connection to place runs deep – her grandparents are from Mizen Head in West Cork\, and it’s a landscape she returns to again and again\, in her music as much as in life. \nHer debut EP\, Birds\, was written and produced entirely by Saoirse herself\, with each track designed to blend and interlude into the next as one continuous body of work. Mixed and mastered to tape by Karl Barnes\, Birds channels Irish traditional music and folklore through an electroacoustic lens\, resulting in a sound that feels both faded and familiar. \nAbout Laura Twagirayezu\nRwandan-born and Dublin-based\, Laura is a curator\, DJ and cultural connector whose work consistently brings depth and warmth to questions of music\, identity and community. Whether she’s hosting her own Lobby Lectures series\, curating listening events through her gallery UMUTI:MA\, or moving between Afrobeats\, Amapiano\, Soul and R&B in the DJ booth – she understands music as a lens. 6 Tracks is a natural home for that kind of conversation. \nAbout Sally Cinnamon\nSally Cinnamon is one of Dublin’s most well known DJs\, a fixture of Dublin’s nightlife since 2001. Her sets are genre-spanning by design\, moving fluidly between afrobeat\, techno and dubstep\, with a strong undercurrent of retro and psychedelic sound that gives her selections a relatability for all. She has also turned her hand to presenting\, hosting the Hennessy Sound Lounge\, where she interviewed Irish artists including David Kitt\, Pillow Queens\, Vivienne Dick and BP Fallon about the records that shaped their work. \nAbout Hen’s Teeth\nHen’s Teeth creates contemporary cultural experiences from Blackpitts in Dublin 8. DESCRIPTION:Set against the backdrop of a single Sunday afternoon in County Meath\, Meredith is a darkly comedic drama that peels back the layers of a family held together by secrets\, shared history\, and a stubborn refusal to age gracefully. Meredith is written by Erica Murray and directed by Annabelle Comyn as part of Dublin Theatre Festival.   \nMeredith’s daughter\, Noelle\, attempts to manage her mother’s recovery with rigid rules and downstairs beds\, Meredith is busy exploring the world of online dating\, lending money to mysterious men and striking up a flirtatious “friendship” with her eccentric new neighbour\, Terry.  \nThe arrival of Meredith’s grandson Lorcan\, who is under a self-imposed “house arrest” after his own run-in with trouble sets off chain reaction of revelations. As the sun sets\, the family must confront a series of crises\, from cyber-scams and drug debts to long-buried grievances about a mother who once walked away. \n“Why must the words vulnerable and old always go together?” \nOpening on 30 September\, with previews from 25 September. It runs till 1 November.  \n  \n  \nABOUT THE WRITER:\nERICA MURRAY \nErica is from County Limerick\, Ireland. She holds a BA in Drama and Theatre Studies from Trinity College Dublin and an MFA in Playwriting from The Lir Academy. While in college\, she wrote her first play called Bunk which won the Irish Student Drama Award for Best New Writing. She is a previous member of the Soho Theatre Young Writers Group\, Lyric New Playwright’s Programme and the Six in the Attic programme at Irish Theatre Institute. \nIn 2018\, her play; The Cat’s Mother\, toured to London\, Edinburgh and Dublin Fringe where it won the Fishamble Award for Best New Writing and was subsequently nominated for the Stewart Parker Trust Award. \nIn 2019\, she was the Channel 4 Writer-in-Residence at The Lyric Theatre in Belfast where her second play All Mod Cons premiered. The new play she wrote while on this residency won the Sonia Friedman Award. \nHer play The Loved Ones premiered at the Dublin Theatre Festival 2023 in a co-production between Rough Magic and The Gate Theatre to critical acclaim. It was remounted in 2025 and went on an Irish national tour. \nIn 2024\, she wrote a play for young audiences for The Abbey Theatre called In Real Life which has been performed across many primary and secondary schools around Ireland. It is currently touring again this May.\nThe Loved Ones has been recently produced in Buffalo at the Irish Classical Theatre Company and is currently about to be produced at the Irish Repertory Theatre in New York. \nErica currently has a residency at the National Theatre Studio in London.

All but one of us met at a large and wearing party in Oxford\, the sort which goes on far too long\, ceases to be a party\, and instead becomes an endurance test. To pass the time\, we picked up instruments and played for a couple months\, enjoyed ourselves\, then played more when the party finally came to an end. The fifth member was met during the protracted hang over\, and he fit in just fine. We all gathered in a room in Old Street\, and recorded ourselves with a laptop. Right now someone is recording us with a bigger computer. If you listen real close\, you might hear from us.

DESCRIPTION:Dharmacide are a Madrid-based band known for their eclectic fusion of shoegaze\, dream pop\, and post-punk. The first half of the album was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Orchin (Hatchie\, Launder\, Tamaryn)\, and it was completed in Madrid at Alejandro Leiva’s studio (Bum Motion Club). The album was presented at Sala El Sol in Madrid with the support of Elias Bender Rønnenfelt (Iceage). \nThe strong reception of their debut led them to perform at festivals such as BBK Live\, Primavera Sound\, Eurosonic ESNS\, The New Colossus Festival in New York\, Vida Festival\, Tomavistas\, Monkey Week\, Esmorga Fest\, and Zgz Psych Fest\, among others. They have also opened for international bands such as Tess Parks\, Bodega\, and Just Mustard during their visits to Madrid. \nIn their ongoing search for the “shoe that fits Dharmacide’s size\,” the band led by René Sharrocks crossed paths with one of their reference shoemakers\, Mark Gardener (Ride)\, who produced\, mixed\, and mastered several of their latest singles at his Oxford studio\, including “Lovers” and “Horses/Divorces.” \nTheir second album\, Tougher Than The Rest\, marks a step forward for the band with a darker\, more atmospheric sound\, full of eerie riffs and ethereal vocals. A mechanic lies among the spare parts on the floor of his garage and wonders if he can afford to keep his girlfriend. A troubled man sees hallucinations of a black dog and a wandering boy and hums “Weird Al” songs in his head. These are some of the strange and richly drawn characters who inhabit James McMurtry’s eleventh album\, The Black Dog & the Wandering Boy. A supremely insightful and inventive storyteller\, he teases vivid worlds out of small details\, setting them to arrangements that have the elements of Americana—rolling guitars\, barroom harmonies\, traces of banjo and harmonica—but sound too sly and smart for such a general category. Funny and sad often in the same breath\, the album adds a new chapter to a long career that has enjoyed a resurgence as young songwriters like Sarah Jarosz and Jason Isbell cite him as a formative influence. \nAs varied as they are\, these new story-songs find inspiration in scraps from his family’s past: a stray sketch\, an old poem by a family friend\, the hallucinations experienced by his father\, the writer Larry McMurtry. “It’s something I do all the time\,” he says\, “but usually I draw from my own scraps.” As any good writer will do\, McMurtry collects little ideas and hangs on to them for years\, sometimes even decades. “South Texas Lawman” grew out of a line from a poem by a friend of the McMurtry clan\, T.D. Hobart. Driven by gravelly guitars and a loose rhythm section\, it’s a careful study of a man whose feelings of obsolescence motivate him to take drastic action in the final verse. “Dwight’d stay at our house way back in the ‘70s\, when we lived in Virginia. During one visit he wrote this poem about his father’s attitude toward South Texas. He wrote it down on cardboard\, and I came across it recently. There was a line about hunting quail on horseback\, and that was the seed of the song. I’ve lost the poem since then.” \nThe rumbling title track\, a kind of squirrelly blues\, features two mysterious figures who appear only to those slipping from reality\, yet it’s never grim nor especially despairing. Instead\, McMurtry namechecks a “Weird Al” deep cut and depicts a tortured soul who doesn’t have to work a nine-to-five. He finds a defiant humor in the situation at odds with the gravity of the source material. “The title of the album and that song comes from my stepmother\, Faye. After my dad passed\, she asked me if he ever talked to me about his hallucinations. He’d gone into dementia for a while before he died\, but hadn’t mentioned to me anything about seeing things. She told me his favorite hallucinations were the black dog and the wandering boy. I took them and applied them to a fictional character.” \nSoon McMurtry had enough of these songs for a new record. “It happened like all my records happened. It’d been too long since I’d had a record that the press could write about and get people to come out to my shows. It was time.” What was different this time was the presence of his old friend Don Dixon\, who produced McMurtry’s third album\, Where You’d Hide the Body?\, back in 1995. “A couple of years ago I quit producing myself. I felt like I was repeating myself methodologically and stylistically. I needed to go back to producer school\, so I brought in CC Adcock for Complicated Game\, and then Ross Hogarth did The Horses & the Hounds. It seemed natural to revisit Mr. Dixon’s homeroom. I wanted to learn some of what he’s learned over the last thirty years.” During sessions at Wire Recording in Austin\, McMurtry observed firsthand Dixon’s grasp of digital recording technology as well as his instinctual approach to tracking. “What Don’s really good at is being able to sense when it’s happening. He can hear when it’s going down. If I’m producing myself and I don’t have him\, I have to do three takes and then go in and listen to them. Listening to those three takes can take about 15 minutes. So Dixon’s ability to know when it’s happening is crucial\, because it can cut 15 minutes out of the day. That can really save a session\, because you only have so many hours in the day and only so much energy. \nWorking with McMurtry’s trusted backing band—Cornbread on bass\, Tim Holt on guitar\, Daren Hess on drums\, BettySoo on backing vocals—they worked to create something that sounds spontaneous\, as though he’s writing the songs as you hear them. They were open to odd experiments\, weird whims\, and happy accidents\, such as the cover of Jon Dee Graham’s “Laredo” that opens the album. It’s an opioid blues: testimony from a part-time junkie losing a weekend to dope. “We were playing a benefit for Jon Dee at the Hole in the Wall there in Austin\, and we thought it’d be good if we played one of his songs. We rehearsed the song in the studio\, and it sounded good. The drums were ready. We’d already got the sounds up. Might as well record it.” \n“Laredo” is one of a pair of covers that bookend The Black Dog & the Wandering Boy\, the other being Kris Kristofferson’s “Broken Freedom Song.” \n“I did that one a few weeks after our initial sessions. It was just me and BettySoo\, then we added drums and bass later on. Kris had just passed not too long before we recorded it. I guess that’s why I was thinking about him.” Like Hobart’s poem\, it’s a bit of inspiration excavated from deep within his own life. “Kris was one of my major influences as a child. He was the first person that I recognized as a songwriter. I hadn’t really thought about where songs came from\, but I started listening to Kristofferson as a songwriter and thinking\, How do you do this? He was actually the second concert I saw. I was nine. He and the band were having such a good time\, and that really solidified for me that this was what I wanted to do with my life.” \nOnce the album was mixed\, mastered\, and sequenced\, McMurtry recalled a rough pencil sketch he had found a few years earlier in his father’s effects. It seemed like it might make a good cover. “I knew it was of me\, but I didn’t realize who drew it. I asked my mom and my stepdad\, and finally I asked my stepmom\, Faye\, who said it looked like Ken Kesey’s work back in the ‘60s. She was married to Ken for forty years.” The Merry Prankster’s—Kesey’s roving band of hippie activists and creators—stopped by often to visit Larry McMurtry and his family. “I don’t remember their first visit\, the one documented in Tom Wolfe’s Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. I was too young\, but I do remember a couple of Ken’s visits. I guess he drew it on one of those later stops. I remembered it and thought it would be the perfect art\, but I had to go back through the storage locker. It’s a miracle that I found it again.” \nIt’s a fitting image for an album that scavenges personal history for inspiration. Even the songwriter himself doesn’t always know what will happen or where the songs will take him. “You follow the words where they lead. If you can get a character\, maybe you can get a story. If you can set it to a verse-chorus structure\, maybe you can get a song. A song can come from anywhere\, but the main inspiration is fear. Specifically\, fear of irrelevance. If you don’t have songs\, you don’t have a record. If you don’t have a record\, you don’t have a tour. You gotta keep putting out work.”

A musical sensation formed in 2016 in the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar\, the quartet are the pioneers of the genre Hunnu Rock\, with almost 900 million global streams to their name – and counting. 2019’s debut album The Gereg put them on the map: not just in their home country\, where they were the first group ever to be awarded the prestigious Chinggis Khaan Order\, but even a galaxy far\, far away\, contributing an original song to the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order soundtrack. \nTwo years later\, their name sat alongside the likes of Elton John\, St. Vincent and Ghost on the epic tracklist to The Metallica Blacklist record\, performing a distinct\, formidable cover of ‘Through The Never’ at the personal request of the metal legends. And 2022 follow-up album Rumble Of Thunder took The HU to iconic stages such as England’s Glastonbury Festival\, and into North American arenas supporting Iron Maiden. \nThese captivating first two records made good on the band’s promise of sharing their beautiful heritage – indeed\, their lyrics are entirely\, and very deliberately\, all in Mongolian. “If you learn the language and translate our lyrics\, you’ll understand the context even more – the background of why we chose these words\,” explains frontman Gala\, who is the group’s throat singer and morin khuur (horsehead fiddle) player. “Hopefully we will encourage people to speak more Mongolian and become interested Mongolian culture. It’s a very rich culture and it needs to be represented.” \nNow\, as The HU gear up for the release of their highly-anticipated third album in 2026\, they’re taking things even further. Knuckling down to work at their second home of Nature Sound Studio in Ulaanbaatar – a place so familiar and comfortable that “sometimes we take off our shoes\, it’s that level of freedom”\, grins Gala – the band have been pushing their limits\, describing this latest work as an “enriched” take on Hunnu Rock. \n“We took our time to do this right\, and I’m so glad that we’re almost ready to release what we have worked on these past few years\,” Gala says. “As well as always staying true to ourselves\, the most important thing for us is longevity. That has been the case since the beginning of the band. We don’t just want a song that will be in the charts for a week and then drop off. We want to create something that will last for decades.” \nIn the more immediate future\, though\, The HU have plotted a busy summer in Europe on their Incarnation tour\, with slots at festivals such as France’s Hellfest\, Germany’s Graspop Metal Meeting and Denmark’s Roskilde. DESCRIPTION:Originally active between 1973-1994\, Cabaret Voltaire featured Chris Watson until 1981 and Stephen Mallinder until 1994. The group were inactive for 20 years until – with Richard H Kirk as the sole remaining member – the 2014 performance at Berlin’s Atonal festival. An interconnected series of releases – Shadow of Fear\, BN9Drone and Dekadrone – followed in 2020 and 2021 before Kirk’s untimely passing in autumn 2021. Mallinder and Watson have stated that there will be no new recordings under the name Cabaret Voltaire. \nIn the current climate of social turmoil and political manipulation\, the prescient work of Cabaret Voltaire continues to be necessary. The sounds\, words\, images and films of the band still resonate loudly\, continuing to challenge the status quo. \nThe events in 2025 and 2026 will curate this essential work and to acknowledge the timeless energy and to mark the continuing significance and power of what Cabaret Voltaire achieved. Original members Chris Watson and Stephen Mallinder are committed to stay true to the enduring vision of Cabaret Voltaire. \nThe performance will cover the arc of their formidable output – from early experiments\, and the first Rough Trade / Factory releases\, through the band’s Doublevision video label and into the work with renowned producers such as Adrian Sherwood and Marshall Jefferson.
