SUMMARY:6 Tracks\, a Series of Conversations\, Music and Performance at Hen’s Teeth
DESCRIPTION:Night-Time Economy Grassroots Music Venues Support Scheme\nHen’s Teeth is delighted to announce the return of 6 Tracks – their much-loved conversation and performance series – in their Blackpitts venue for a new show event season running monthly from July through November 2026. \nEach evening\, a musician sits down with hosts Laura Twagirayezu (aka Big Cheeks) or Sally Cinnamon to talk through six tracks – the songs that have shaped their sound\, their life\, the way they hear the world and how it impacted their craft\, followed by a live performance into the evening. Think Tiny Desk meets Desert Island Discs. \nThe series will begin with the incredible Sorcha Richardson on Thursday\, 30th July. 6 Tracks will then continue monthly with a line up of Ireland’s most talented and inspiring artists\, including Efé\, Brigid Mae Power\, Saoirse Miller and a very special guest to close out the series to be announced. \n6 Tracks at Hen’s Teeth is kindly supported by the Department of Culture’s Night-Time Economy Grassroots Music Venues Support Scheme. \n\n  \nEvent details\nDoors from 6:30pm till late \nWhen? Monthly from July – November\, full line up and dates below \nTickets: €15 per night including booking fees from Eventbrite. \nWhere: Hen’s Teeth\, Blackpitts\, Dublin 8\, D08A9FD \n\nAbout the Acts\nSorcha Richardson (30th July)\nSorcha Richardson is an Irish singer and songwriter. She rose to critical acclaim from her debut album First Prize Bravery\, which was an evocative depiction of young adulthood\, a time during which she ventured from home in Dublin to New York\, Los Angeles and back again. Her follow up album Smiling Like an Idiot cemented her status as one of Ireland’s most revered songwriters and saw her tour North America\, Europe and Australia\, both as a headliner and as a special guest for artists such as Snow Patrol\, Mitski and Dermot Kennedy. \nShe returns this September 2026 with her third album\, Draw The Outline. Made after relocating to West Kerry\, it’s her most intimate and reflective record to date – trading synth-led textures for acoustic guitar\, woodwinds\, saxophone\, Hammond organ and piano\, and turning her gaze inward. \nBrigid Mae Power (27th August)\n \nBrigid Mae Power’s music never quite settles on solid ground. The Irish singer-songwriter sits between past and present\, between traditional and modern forms\, between the heaven in her voice and the earthbound epiphanies of her words. There’s something distinctively Irish in her sound\, delivered with a freshness and emotional rawness that feels entirely her own. \nShe’s released three albums to date\, including her acclaimed 2022 record Head Above the Water\, which was Rough Trade’s Album of the Month and earned praise from Pitchfork\, Mojo\, Uncut\, The Guardian and The Irish Times. Her albums blend traditional folk and country into something that feels both personal and wide-reaching. \nHer most recent record\, Songs for You\, is a heartfelt collection of covers dedicated to her father\, reworking songs by Roy Orbison\, Tom Verlaine\, Neil Young and Cass McCombs into something minimal\, intimate and entirely her own. \nEfé (24th September)\n \nEFÉ is an Irish artist hailing from Dublin. EFÉ released her debut EP What Should We Do This Summer in October 2020 which was recorded in her bedroom with the help of her friends. Her music is a sunny slice of bedroom pop\, evoking images of blue skies on a summer’s day using shimmering synth pads and funky\, modulated guitar tones. EFÉ sets herself apart from other artists with the unique and playful groove that provides the grounding for her DIY style\, and definitely marks her as one to watch from the emerging Irish scene. Her music is effortlessly nostalgic\, pulling on indie-tinged memories of the late 1990s and early 2000s. \nAfter signing to US label Fader; home to artists such as Clairo – she leaned further into her rock influences for her most recent single releases in 2024\, Truth Truth\, 2000Seven and you say that I’m crazy\, lo-fi indie tracks that make space for guitars to soar. As she puts it\, “In earlier projects I was scared to go full force with the rock sound\, but this year I thought\, let me just do it.” \nSaoirse Miller (29th October)\n \nSaoirse Miller is a Dublin-based singer-songwriter and producer whose music is rooted in Irish folklore and mythology and a lifelong fascination with the otherworldly. Her sound – spanning experimental folk\, ambient textures and ethereal vocal production – is less about genre and more about world-building\, creating somewhere else entirely to disappear into. \nInfluenced by Florence and the Machine\, Grouper\, Lisa O’Neill and the poetry of W.B. Yeats\, Saoirse writes songs that transform personal feeling into something mythic. Her connection to place runs deep – her grandparents are from Mizen Head in West Cork\, and it’s a landscape she returns to again and again\, in her music as much as in life. \nHer debut EP\, Birds\, was written and produced entirely by Saoirse herself\, with each track designed to blend and interlude into the next as one continuous body of work. Mixed and mastered to tape by Karl Barnes\, Birds channels Irish traditional music and folklore through an electroacoustic lens\, resulting in a sound that feels both faded and familiar. \nAbout Laura Twagirayezu\nRwandan-born and Dublin-based\, Laura is a curator\, DJ and cultural connector whose work consistently brings depth and warmth to questions of music\, identity and community. Whether she’s hosting her own Lobby Lectures series\, curating listening events through her gallery UMUTI:MA\, or moving between Afrobeats\, Amapiano\, Soul and R&B in the DJ booth – she understands music as a lens. 6 Tracks is a natural home for that kind of conversation. \nAbout Sally Cinnamon\nSally Cinnamon is one of Dublin’s most well known DJs\, a fixture of Dublin’s nightlife since 2001. Her sets are genre-spanning by design\, moving fluidly between afrobeat\, techno and dubstep\, with a strong undercurrent of retro and psychedelic sound that gives her selections a relatability for all. She has also turned her hand to presenting\, hosting the Hennessy Sound Lounge\, where she interviewed Irish artists including David Kitt\, Pillow Queens\, Vivienne Dick and BP Fallon about the records that shaped their work. \nAbout Hen’s Teeth\nHen’s Teeth creates contemporary cultural experiences from Blackpitts in Dublin 8. The crew has got a love for art\, music\, food and culture and the space where they all come together – whether that’s through their own gallery & event space or for some of the interesting folks and brands that they collaborate with across the world. Previous music events include Hennessy Sound Lounge\, Move Slow & 6 Tracks. \n\nTickets & more information available at www.hensteethdublin.com

SUMMARY:ANIMALS
DESCRIPTION:“The law\, Noel. Without it\, all of us are animals in the jungle. Killing and eating and riding whatever we think we can get away with.” \n\n\nPrepare to suspend your disbelief. Then let it dissolve completely. \nUnstable realities resemble our wildest imagination in this absurdist spectacle – writ large and set loose on the national stage. \nANIMALS is a riotous and kaleidoscopic world premiere commissioned by the Abbey Theatre and based on the critically acclaimed short fiction of award-winning contemporary Irish writer Blindboyboatclub (The Gospel According to Blindboy\, Boulevard Wren\, Topographia Hibernica)\, adapted by Dan Colley (Lost Lear\, A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings). \nHidden mythologies emerge as we follow Erskine Fogarty and his fridge-freezer on the long road to Limerick\, the vengeful Pamela Furlong become a dogman\, a poitín maker haunted by a cormorant\, and a dangerous liaison between two titans of Irish history. \nThe bizarreness of life is unmasked in this roaring and roaming new work that wonders aloud if the rowdy kids down the back of class might have been onto something all along. \n  \n\nCredits:\n\nFrom the short stories of: Blindboyboatclub\nAdapted and Directed by: Dan Colley\nSet Design: Owen Boss\nCostume Design: Saileóg O’Halloran\nLighting Design: Suzie Cummins\nComposition and Sound Design: Alma Kelliher\nVideo Design: José Miguel Jimenez\nSpecial Effects Design: Richard Babington\nMovement Director: Jessie Thompson\nAccess Design: Dee Roycroft\nDramaturg: Ruth McGowan\nVoice Director: Andrea Ainsworth\nAssistant Director: Ursula McGinn\nAssistant Costume Design: LaurA Fajardo Castro\nCasting: Barry Coyle and Dawn Mac Allister\nPublicity Artwork: Sarah Moloney

SUMMARY:James Joyce Centre Walking Tours
DESCRIPTION:Guides from the James Joyce Centre take you through Dublin\, exploring the history of the city and the various locations described by Ireland’s greatest writer\, James Joyce.\n\nThough Joyce lived most of his life outside of Ireland\, Dublin would provide the backdrop for virtually all of his work. Rooted in his personal touchstones within electronic music\, the album pairs expansive\, immersive production with his trademark razor-sharp lyricism. \nAlongside the news\, he shares new single ‘Chalk’\, an expansive\, sawtoothed electro track inspired by the snooker documentary Ronnie O’Sullivan: The Edge of Everything. In his words\, “it’s about the idea that chalking a cue makes a marginal difference to the outcome – a metaphor for chaos theory and the win-or-lose nature of the music industry.” \nLISTEN TO ‘CHALK’ | WATCH THE OFFICIAL VIDEO \nThe track premiered this morning on Lauren Laverne’s BBC 6 Music show and will appear on the upcoming album alongside his recent disco-inflected house single\, ‘The Heron’ — a nod to his avian companion Ken\, a 1920s taxidermied bird that also features on the album artwork. \nDecoding Birdsong follows the wild success of his debut album\, 2025’s Service Station at the End of the Universe\, which launched Antony into a whirlwind of Glastonbury\, Jools Holland\, and repeat BBC airplay. He’s sold out venues across the UK and Europe\, and in February 2026 performed to 20\,000 while closing Solomun’s Alexandra Palace shows. The former English teacher had been working at a college for special needs students when his blend of spoken word and dance music started taking off\, earning him accolades such as 6Music’s Artist of the Year in 2023 following his Poems To Dance To EP\, and frequent comparisons to Mike Skinner\, Jarvis Cocker and John Cooper Clarke. \n\nService Station at the End of the Universe was rooted in Greater Manchester\, its locals and landmarks\, such as the Stockport Pyramid. And he began feeling the consequences of that: suddenly\, everyone knew his name at the pub – on some days\, that felt good; on others it made him feel like he was in The Truman Show. Feeling like something needed to change after a year of experiencing the industry’s high highs and low lows\, Antony recently relocated to Bristol\, trading the familiar for distance and peace. Decoding Birdsong was made in his new home city\, with his long-time collaborator Max Rad. \n\nWhere his debut had been a solo endeavour\, Decoding Birdsong brims with collaboration\, including Australia’s Pretty Girl\, London band Los Bitchos\, and Bristol producer 1-800 GIRLS\, as well as Imogen and the Knife and indie pop star Ellur. \n\nSpeaking about the new record\, Antony explains “Decoding Birdsong is about choosing to believe in something. Coincidence as a religion. Making your own luck in the face of loneliness and doubt. The smallest things can feel seminal\, seismic and life affirming if you just choose to lean in\, but it also asks if this is a dangerous way to live.  \n\nWhat happens when your numbers come in? What are the consequences of luck? Should you listen to the birds\, or are you only ever going to hear what you want to hear? To help us explore this: a heron\, dice\, a plummeting airplane\, the late-night TV show Aussie Gold Hunters and a fibreglass replica of Godzilla.”

SUMMARY:Melanie C
DESCRIPTION:A bold\, uplifting anthem about resilience and inner strength\, ‘Undefeated Champion’ continues the joyful\, club-ready spirit of the Sweat era while delivering one of Melanie’s most empowering messages yet. Speaking about the new single\, Melanie C says: “‘Undefeated Champion’ is about getting knocked down and choosing to rise every single time. It’s a reminder that the hardest moments are the ones that make us stronger. It’s faith over fear\, joy in the face of adversity – almost challenging the universe: ‘come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough!’ At its core\, it’s about realising we’re far more resilient than we think.” \nThe release arrives alongside the announcement of The Melanie C World Tour\, a global run of shows set to bring the high-energy spirit of Sweat to fans around the world\, including a headline show at the O2 Academy Brixton on October 23rd\, 2026. Known for her electrifying live performances\, Melanie will celebrate both her pop legacy and her evolution as a DJ\, delivering a set that blends euphoric dancefloor energy with the iconic hits that have defined her career. Fans will have multiple opportunities to secure tickets in pre-sales and the general sale which will go live on Friday\, March 20th\, 2026 @ 10am local time. Full tour dates and ticket details below. \nBefore she became Mel C of the Spice Girls\, she was Melanie Chisholm of “The F**king Yeah Four”\, a group of 18-year-old friends dancing through the Costa Brava rave scene in the early ’90s. Those nights of breakbeats\, sweat and freedom would shape her forever. Decades later\, Melanie C channels that same raw energy into Sweat – her ninth studio album and most euphoric record to date. Recorded between London\, Stockholm and LA\, Sweat is a celebration of joy\, movement and community – a fusion of Melanie C’s pop legacy and her more recent evolution as a DJ. “I’ve done a lot of soul-searching\,” she says. “Now I just want to have some fun and get people dancing again.” \nThe new single lands amid a standout period for Melanie C. Recent highlights include headline performances and appearances at ABC Sydney New Year’s Eve\, New York’s Jingle Ball\, appearances on The Kelly Clarkson Show and Good Morning America\, plus viral moments alongside global pop phenomenon KATSEYE. Melanie was recently named Apple Music’s featured artist for their ‘Music That Moves Me’ playlist series\, as part of their January fitness activation.

SUMMARY:Talia Rae
DESCRIPTION:Praised by publications including Dork\, Noctis Magazine\, and 1883 Magazine for her commanding voice\, emotional depth\, and effortless magnetism\, UK singer-songwriter Talia Rae enters a defining new era with her forthcoming EP Julia\, arriving June 5\, 2026 via Glassnote Records. At the heart of the project are deeply personal songs including “If I Were Your Mother\,” dedicated to her mother\, and the title track “Julia\,” written to herself from the perspective of her father. \n  \nThe EP has been introduced through a run of standout singles including “Blind in Love\,” “Blue\,” and the intoxicating “Euphoria\,” produced by Bailey Hopton and co-written with Max Wolfgang. Born and raised in Essex and trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School\, Rae has already performed at major venues and festivals including BST Hyde Park supporting Stevie Nicks\, Latitude Festival\, The Great Escape\, Royal Albert Hall\, and a sold-out headline show at Rae’s OMEARA. SUMMARY:The Small Fortunes
DESCRIPTION:Formed in Warrington\, England\, The Small Fortunes started with Louis Menguy and Louis James writing together through lockdown. \nTheir debut EP\, recorded with David Radahd-Jones at Red City Studios in Manchester\, set the tone early: raw and confident. The arrival of bassist Liam Clarke and drummer Adam Christopher in 2024 — followed by Paul Glover on keys in early 2025 — completed the line up. \nBuilt on the backbone of the blues — the grit of Muddy Waters\, the drive of John Lee Hooker — and wired with the urgency of modern garage rock\, The Small Fortunes deal in energy over polish. There are shades of BRMC and The White Stripes in the mix\, but they’re not looking sideways. Everything they do pushes forward. \nTheir reputation has been built the hard way: onstage. High-impact\, no-frills\, and relentless\, every single one of their live shows has been a sell out.

SUMMARY:Elder Island
DESCRIPTION:Following last month’s sold out return to the stage in London and Bristol\, where fans were given a \nfirst glimpse of forthcoming album Hello Baby Okay\, Elder Island share new single ‘Letters’\, out 8th April via !K7. \n\nThe band also announced a headline tour\, marking a full return to the stage. The run kicks off in \nCardiff on 21st October\, with stops in Dublin\, Glasgow\, Leeds\, Manchester\, Brighton\, Bristol and \nLondon\, including a show at London’s iconic KOKO. \n\nRecently selected by Elton John for his Apple Music show Rocket Hour\, the fourth single from the \nforthcoming album\, ‘Letters’ sees the Bristol trio take a more introspective turn. Expansive and slow \nburning in its progression\, the track unfolds through layered instrumentation\, expressive vocals and a \nsteady\, chugging rhythm that carries it forward. There is a cinematic quality to its world building\, \ndrawing on fragments of science fiction and folk imagery\, all threaded through the feeling of a long\, \nopen-ended road trip. \n\nBuilt around a driving low end groove and analogue led production\, much of the track was shaped \nusing the Dave Smith / Roger Linn Tempest\, before being expanded with Rhodes and guitar. The \nresult is a quintessential Elder Island composition\, immersive\, detailed and emotionally resonant\, \nbalancing rhythmic momentum with a sense of space and restraint.
