She rose to critical acclaim from her debut album First Prize Bravery\, which was an evocative depiction of young adulthood\, a time during which she ventured from home in Dublin to New York\, Los Angeles and back again. Her follow up album Smiling Like an Idiot cemented her status as one of Ireland’s most revered songwriters and saw her tour North America\, Europe and Australia\, both as a headliner and as a special guest for artists such as Snow Patrol\, Mitski and Dermot Kennedy. \nShe returns this September 2026 with her third album\, Draw The Outline. Made after relocating to West Kerry\, it’s her most intimate and reflective record to date – trading synth-led textures for acoustic guitar\, woodwinds\, saxophone\, Hammond organ and piano\, and turning her gaze inward. \nBrigid Mae Power (27th August)\n \nBrigid Mae Power’s music never quite settles on solid ground. The Irish singer-songwriter sits between past and present\, between traditional and modern forms\, between the heaven in her voice and the earthbound epiphanies of her words. There’s something distinctively Irish in her sound\, delivered with a freshness and emotional rawness that feels entirely her own. \nShe’s released three albums to date\, including her acclaimed 2022 record Head Above the Water\, which was Rough Trade’s Album of the Month and earned praise from Pitchfork\, Mojo\, Uncut\, The Guardian and The Irish Times. Her albums blend traditional folk and country into something that feels both personal and wide-reaching. \nHer most recent record\, Songs for You\, is a heartfelt collection of covers dedicated to her father\, reworking songs by Roy Orbison\, Tom Verlaine\, Neil Young and Cass McCombs into something minimal\, intimate and entirely her own. \nEfé (24th September)\n \nEFÉ is an Irish artist hailing from Dublin. EFÉ released her debut EP What Should We Do This Summer in October 2020 which was recorded in her bedroom with the help of her friends. Her music is a sunny slice of bedroom pop\, evoking images of blue skies on a summer’s day using shimmering synth pads and funky\, modulated guitar tones. EFÉ sets herself apart from other artists with the unique and playful groove that provides the grounding for her DIY style\, and definitely marks her as one to watch from the emerging Irish scene. Her music is effortlessly nostalgic\, pulling on indie-tinged memories of the late 1990s and early 2000s. \nAfter signing to US label Fader; home to artists such as Clairo – she leaned further into her rock influences for her most recent single releases in 2024\, Truth Truth\, 2000Seven and you say that I’m crazy\, lo-fi indie tracks that make space for guitars to soar. As she puts it\, “In earlier projects I was scared to go full force with the rock sound\, but this year I thought\, let me just do it.” \nSaoirse Miller (29th October)\n \nSaoirse Miller is a Dublin-based singer-songwriter and producer whose music is rooted in Irish folklore and mythology and a lifelong fascination with the otherworldly. Born out of the isolation of the COVID-19 lockdown\, the band’s debut album\, Attempted Martyr\, was written in the midst of global and personal turmoil\, capturing the zeitgeist of a world unraveling. A loose concept record\, it chronicles the rise and fall of a doomed zealot whose pursuit of holy vengeance spirals into a psychotic orgy of violence\, greed\, and lust. \nThe band was initially formed by Moe Kazra who enlisted childhood friends Andrew Kaster and Dylan Zaranski\, with Ross Babinski and Bret Wall later completing the lineup. Together\, they self-funded the album\, working with legendary engineer Chris Koltay to shape a sound that’s both abrasive and hypnotic—an unrelenting blend of warped guitars\, primitive basslines\, frenzied drumming\, and corrosive synthesizers\, interwoven with samples from diverse cultures\, ranging from African to Middle Eastern and East Asian influences. \nTracks like “All Hail” (inspired by the 1977 Hanafi Siege of Washington D.C.) immerses listeners in a volatile\, hostage-like environment. “Judge” channels Milton’s Satan in a chilling rallying cry\, while “Body Meat” grapples with religious desperation and the tenuous boundary between faith and madness. Khachab and Kaster’s lyrics have been described by Pitchfork as “disturbingly poetic” with the ability to “lacerate with image alone.” Crude sloganeering and scenes of horrific violence are juxtaposed with literary allusion and Islamic symbolism\, creating what the band calls a “theatricalization of terrorism.” Through this lens\, they examine and critique the xenophobic stereotypes targeted at Arabs\, distorting them into grotesque caricatures. \nOver the past four years\, Prostitute has established a reputation for their punishing\, high-energy performances. The band’s live shows\, described as “dangerous” and “volatile”\, finds Moe delivering politically charged sermons atop a deafening bacchanal of sound. In 2023\, Prostitute performed at the re-opening of the iconic UFO Bar in Detroit\, followed by a series of benefit concerts for Palestine\, Lebanon\, and Sudan. These performances solidified their growing presence\, leading to invites to play at No Rest Fest and New Colossus Festival. \nAs Prostitute continues work on their sophomore album\, they are delving deeper into electronic and Arabic dance influences\, drawing inspiration from the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon. DESCRIPTION:The Swedish singer-songwriter troubadour Kristian Matsson\, better known as The Tallest Man on Earth has a rare talent for captivating an audience with just his raw\, grainy voice and a guitar. He plays various string instruments\, ranging from acoustic guitar\, banjo and he recently picked up and started exploring the realm of the violin as well. The coming year will see him on the road again through Europe and North-America including the National Concert Hall in Dublin for the first time. \nThe project of Kristian Matsson – who has spent much of the last 19 years touring around the world as The Tallest Man On Earth – has captivated audiences using “every inch of his long guitar cord to roam the stage: darting around\, crouching\, stretching\, hip-twitching\, perching briefly and jittering away…” (The New York Times). In 2020\, Matsson left New York City and returned to his farm in Sweden where he drowned out his thoughts by manically growing vegetables in his garden. It was only near the end of 2021\, as he began to tour again\, that the inspiration returned. “When I’m in motion\, I can focus on my instinct\, have my daydreams again. When I was finally able to tour again\, I started writing like a madman.” He eventually had a collection of songs\, revealing what would become Henry St\, an album that sees Matsson exploring his own stubborn optimism and “how to be a person in this world”. \n​​​​​​​After 2015’s Dark Bird Is Home\, described by Pitchfork as his “most personal record… surreal and dreamlike\,” and his self-released I Love You\, It’s a Fever Dream in 2019\, Kristian Matsson returned in 2022 with the intricate cover album Too Late for Edelweiss. In 2023\, he unveiled his sixth album\, Henry St.\, marking the first time he recorded with a full band. “For most of my career\, I’ve been a DIY artist\, driven by the feeling that I didn’t know what I was doing\, so I just handled everything myself\,” Matsson explained. DESCRIPTION:Guides from the James Joyce Centre take you through Dublin\, exploring the history of the city and the various locations described by Ireland’s greatest writer\, James Joyce.\n\nThough Joyce lived most of his life outside of Ireland\, Dublin would provide the backdrop for virtually all of his work. On a stroll around the inner city\, our guide will explain the real-life inspiration behind some of Joyce’s most celebrated writing\, demonstrating just how central the streetscape of the ‘Hibernian metropolis’ was to the author’s life and art. The tour visits such stops as Belvedere College\, the Gresham Hotel\, the James Joyce Statue\, Davy Byrnes\, and the National Library.\n\nThis is an excellent and fun introduction to Joyce in a bustling part of the city.\n\nThe James Joyce Centre offers two tours: Introducing Joyce’s Dublin and Footsteps of Leopold Bloom.\n\nEvery Thursday\, Friday & Saturday at 11 am. Duration 2 hours.\n\nAdmission to the James Joyce Centre is included. \nThe James Joyce Centre is supported by the Department of Culture\, Communications and Sport.

Through conversation and audience questions\, the evening will explore themes of friendship\, memory\, exile and political idealism\, reflecting on lives shaped by movement\, solidarity and the passage of time. Closely aligned with EPIC’s exploration of the Irish diaspora\, the discussion will consider how personal and collective histories intersect across borders\, before concluding with a book signing. \nTicket holders should arrive about 10 minutes before 5:30pm at the Visitor Information desk within CHQ. There they will be escorted to the event’s location. We would ask that you arrive no later than 5:35pm\, as it’s imperative these events begin on time to ensure the best experience for the author and for our visitors. \nAbout the Book\nCamarade is a philosophical thriller of striking depth\, following an Irishman living in Paris as he reflects on a single violent act that forced him to flee Ireland forty years earlier. An artist-facilitator will be on hand to guide you as you produce your own masterpiece. All you need to bring is your imagination. We’ll provide everything else. \nTickets are from €55 and include the use of all equipment\, plus a glass of prosecco or soft drink and\, of course\, a canvas for your creation. You’ll have the option to get a lovely Gallery tote bag to carry your work of art home\, too! \nThis event is strictly over 18s. \nWe will be photographing the event; please let one of the organisers know if you do not wish to be photographed.
