DESCRIPTION:Night-Time Economy Grassroots Music Venues Support Scheme\nHen’s Teeth is delighted to announce the return of 6 Tracks – their much-loved conversation and performance series – in their Blackpitts venue for a new show event season running monthly from July through November 2026. \nEach evening\, a musician sits down with hosts Laura Twagirayezu (aka Big Cheeks) or Sally Cinnamon to talk through six tracks – the songs that have shaped their sound\, their life\, the way they hear the world and how it impacted their craft\, followed by a live performance into the evening. She rose to critical acclaim from her debut album First Prize Bravery\, which was an evocative depiction of young adulthood\, a time during which she ventured from home in Dublin to New York\, Los Angeles and back again. Her follow up album Smiling Like an Idiot cemented her status as one of Ireland’s most revered songwriters and saw her tour North America\, Europe and Australia\, both as a headliner and as a special guest for artists such as Snow Patrol\, Mitski and Dermot Kennedy. \nShe returns this September 2026 with her third album\, Draw The Outline. Made after relocating to West Kerry\, it’s her most intimate and reflective record to date – trading synth-led textures for acoustic guitar\, woodwinds\, saxophone\, Hammond organ and piano\, and turning her gaze inward. \nBrigid Mae Power (27th August)\n \nBrigid Mae Power’s music never quite settles on solid ground. The Irish singer-songwriter sits between past and present\, between traditional and modern forms\, between the heaven in her voice and the earthbound epiphanies of her words. There’s something distinctively Irish in her sound\, delivered with a freshness and emotional rawness that feels entirely her own. \nShe’s released three albums to date\, including her acclaimed 2022 record Head Above the Water\, which was Rough Trade’s Album of the Month and earned praise from Pitchfork\, Mojo\, Uncut\, The Guardian and The Irish Times. Her albums blend traditional folk and country into something that feels both personal and wide-reaching. \nHer most recent record\, Songs for You\, is a heartfelt collection of covers dedicated to her father\, reworking songs by Roy Orbison\, Tom Verlaine\, Neil Young and Cass McCombs into something minimal\, intimate and entirely her own. \nEfé (24th September)\n \nEFÉ is an Irish artist hailing from Dublin. EFÉ released her debut EP What Should We Do This Summer in October 2020 which was recorded in her bedroom with the help of her friends. Her music is a sunny slice of bedroom pop\, evoking images of blue skies on a summer’s day using shimmering synth pads and funky\, modulated guitar tones. EFÉ sets herself apart from other artists with the unique and playful groove that provides the grounding for her DIY style\, and definitely marks her as one to watch from the emerging Irish scene. Her music is effortlessly nostalgic\, pulling on indie-tinged memories of the late 1990s and early 2000s. \nAfter signing to US label Fader; home to artists such as Clairo – she leaned further into her rock influences for her most recent single releases in 2024\, Truth Truth\, 2000Seven and you say that I’m crazy\, lo-fi indie tracks that make space for guitars to soar. As she puts it\, “In earlier projects I was scared to go full force with the rock sound\, but this year I thought\, let me just do it.” \nSaoirse Miller (29th October)\n \nSaoirse Miller is a Dublin-based singer-songwriter and producer whose music is rooted in Irish folklore and mythology and a lifelong fascination with the otherworldly. Her sound – spanning experimental folk\, ambient textures and ethereal vocal production – is less about genre and more about world-building\, creating somewhere else entirely to disappear into. \nInfluenced by Florence and the Machine\, Grouper\, Lisa O’Neill and the poetry of W.B. Yeats\, Saoirse writes songs that transform personal feeling into something mythic. Her connection to place runs deep – her grandparents are from Mizen Head in West Cork\, and it’s a landscape she returns to again and again\, in her music as much as in life. \nHer debut EP\, Birds\, was written and produced entirely by Saoirse herself\, with each track designed to blend and interlude into the next as one continuous body of work. Mixed and mastered to tape by Karl Barnes\, Birds channels Irish traditional music and folklore through an electroacoustic lens\, resulting in a sound that feels both faded and familiar. \nAbout Laura Twagirayezu\nRwandan-born and Dublin-based\, Laura is a curator\, DJ and cultural connector whose work consistently brings depth and warmth to questions of music\, identity and community. Whether she’s hosting her own Lobby Lectures series\, curating listening events through her gallery UMUTI:MA\, or moving between Afrobeats\, Amapiano\, Soul and R&B in the DJ booth – she understands music as a lens. 6 Tracks is a natural home for that kind of conversation. \nAbout Sally Cinnamon\nSally Cinnamon is one of Dublin’s most well known DJs\, a fixture of Dublin’s nightlife since 2001. Her sets are genre-spanning by design\, moving fluidly between afrobeat\, techno and dubstep\, with a strong undercurrent of retro and psychedelic sound that gives her selections a relatability for all. She has also turned her hand to presenting\, hosting the Hennessy Sound Lounge\, where she interviewed Irish artists including David Kitt\, Pillow Queens\, Vivienne Dick and BP Fallon about the records that shaped their work. \nAbout Hen’s Teeth\nHen’s Teeth creates contemporary cultural experiences from Blackpitts in Dublin 8. DESCRIPTION:Barbi Recanati is one of the most influential figures in contemporary Argentine alternative rock and indie\, standing out not only as a musician but also as a passionate activist and cultural promoter. Her journey began at the helm of Utopians\, the garage rock band she led for more than a decade\, performing on some of the region’s most important stages and even earning a Latin Grammy nomination. However\, after the group disbanded in 2017\, Barbi began a solo career that redefined her sound\, moving away from raw punk to embrace a post-punk and new wave aesthetic filled with synthesizers\, chorus-drenched guitars\, and introspective melancholy. \nHer solo debut\, the acclaimed album Ubicación en tiempo real (2020)\, solidified her place in the independent scene and earned her a Gardel Award\, along with another Latin Grammy nomination. This success was followed by El final de las cosas (2023)\, a work that deepens her nostalgic style and her ability to write direct lyrics about human relationships and the passage of time. Alongside her musical output\, Recanati has transformed the Argentine industry through Goza Records\, a label she founded together with Futurock radio to support women and gender-diverse artists. Additionally\, her research work is reflected in the book and podcast Mostras del Rock\, where she recovers. It highlights the history of women who were pioneers in the genre but were made invisible by the official narrative. Today\, Barbi serves as a bridge between the legacy of classic rock and the new self-managed avant-garde. DESCRIPTION:“Gráda is to Irish music what Arcade Fire is to Indie – informal\, prodigious and full of spirit” – The Washington Post. \nA highlight on the traditional Irish music scene from 2001 – 2011\, trad group Gráda are reuniting this summer to play two shows in Dublin and Galway. \nWith members from both Ireland and New Zealand\, Gráda spent much of their time touring internationally\, performing in over 1000 cities in 30 countries from the Sydney Opera House to the Royal Glasgow Concert Hall to Ireland’s National Concert Hall and headlined multiple European and American folk festivals. \nIn 2011\, Gráda disbanded to work on individual projects. This saw the members involved in various ventures including musical groups The Whileaways and ALDOC\, Gráda’s sound is rooted in trad\, while drawing influences from folk\, jazz\, world music and Americana. The band’s live shows exude energy\, with an improvisation element that made them unique within the trad music world. The repertoire is seeded with original songs and instrumentals that have captured the imaginations of audiences all around the world.

DESCRIPTION:A modern-day folksinger rooted in the classic tradition of Townes Van Zandt and John Prine\, Leon Majcen got started early. He was still a teenager when Love and Misery became a hit on SiriusXM’s The Coffee House channel\, introducing a nationwide audience to his unique spin on American roots music. What followed was a decade of traveling\, performing\, and chasing down new horizons — often with an acoustic guitar in his hands and a fly rod in the trunk. \nMaking A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) marks Leon’s fourth album in five years. Inspired by the tours that have taken him far beyond his adopted home of Nashville\, it’s the sound of a road warrior who’s grown all too familiar with the highs\, lows\, and heartbreaks that pave the long road out of town. He writes poignantly about a life spent on the move\, bouncing between solo songs and full-band performances. For a songwriter who first hit the road as an infant — back when his Bosnian refugee parents moved the family to Florida\, determined to find a better life for their children — Making A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) is Leon’s most honest album to date\, fueled equally by melody and momentum. \n  \n“The road is calling; don’t leave the light on\,” he sings during the first track\, delivering the line to all the people and places he’s left behind in the rearview mirror. Making A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) often revisits that theme of departure\, from tracks like “Down the Road” — a laid-back\, loping tribute to skipping town\, punctuated by fiddle solos and a deep\, countrified groove — to the darkly humorous “Sleeping in a Car Is Fun Until You Gotta Pee.” Both of those songs are driven forward by Leon’s acoustic guitar\, a nod to his longtime roots as a disciple of Guy Clark and Bob Dylan. That doesn’t stop him from getting loud with “Walking Down the Street\,” a bluesy rocker packed with amplification and attitude. That’s uncharted territory for Leon\, and it’s proof that even the most seasoned travelers deserve to explore new places once in a while. \n“I’ve always occupied the folky side of country music\, or the country side of folk\,” he says\, nodding to previous releases like 2020’s Back ’Til I’m Gone\, 2024’s self-titled Leon Majcen\, and 2025’s Better Days. “For years\, I’ve felt most at home when it’s just me and my acoustic guitar. But this record is a pivot. It’s a bigger sound with more layers\, more intent\, and a real producer. It just feels right.” \nThe producer he’s referencing is multi-instrumentalist Pat Lyons. Celebrated for his work with Americana mainstays like Colter Wall\, Lyons became a mentor to Leon during his first year in Nashville\, back when he was struggling to balance his songwriting career with a long series of day jobs. Leon worked in offices. He worked outside\, using his hands. Eventually\, with Pat’s encouragement\, he embraced the troubadour lifestyle\, dedicating himself to the stage\, the road\, and the writing room. Working with a small rhythm section\, the two collaborators recorded Making A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) during a pair of whirlwind days\, leaning heavily on live performances and Leon’s strength as a stage performer. They also teamed up with Riley Downing (of The Deslondes) for “Tallahassee\,” a duet steeped in the influence of New Orleans. The result is an album about tour stops\, roadside revelations\, and the lessons learned at 75 miles per hour. \nThere are more shows on the horizon. More songs to write. More fishing holes to track down. Leon is part of the Cloverdale family now — a record label and musical collective overseen by Evan Honer\, another Gen Z songwriter who uses folk music as a launchpad for a more expansive sound. And if the road truly goes on forever\, then he’s ready to run it down. This is how Leon makes a living\, and right now\, life is good.

Featuring only a single\, hour-plus long song\, Motherfucker is a demanding exhibition of uncompromising ethos. Shearling’s aggressive live performances and meticulous recordings demonstrate an ambition\, audacity\, and emotional vulnerability that few contemporary bands can parallel.
