SUMMARY:Dead In Here
DESCRIPTION:A group of friends are desperate to escape the city for a weekend. Millie has an idea. Her family has a big house down the country. It’s been theirs for about 400 years. Just don’t ask how they got it. \n \nBrian wants to drink. Millie wants to relax. Georgia just doesn’t want any fights. So they drink. They relax. They try not to fight. \n \nBut then Millie’s ex arrives at the door. And soon after that\, they run out of drink. The trip begins to fall apart as old tensions resurface\, and just when it looks like they’ve hit rock bottom\, a voice calls out from below. \n \nDead In Here is a new play inspired by Giovanni Boccaccio’s ‘The Decameron’. It seeks to explore how it feels to be a young person right now: hyper-aware of the problems and powerless to effect any solutions. With its raw aesthetic\, this play presents a striking vision for what is possible when theatre is stripped back to its purest elements. \n \nThis is a play about love and death that interrogates our collective desire to escape reality. \nWritten by CN Smith and directed by Dominic O’Brien.\n \n\n\n\n\n\nWarnings: Contains themes of bereavement. This event features smoke machines\, strobe lighting and excessive loud noise/music.\n \n\n\n\nDeveloped at Dublin Fringe Festival Studios.\n \n\nWRITTEN BY CN Smith \nDIRECTED BY Dominic O’Brien\n\n \n\n\nPREVIEW TICKETS €15\nTICKETS €19 | €17\nRUNNING TIME 90 mins\n \n\n*Please be advised\, more tickets are available through the Fringe Festival box office \n \n\n\nIMAGE: Dominic O’Brien

SUMMARY:James Joyce Centre Walking Tours

SUMMARY:FOCUS
DESCRIPTION:The band from the 1960/70’s that just keeps giving. \nFeaturing Thijs Van Leer\, Pierre Van Der Linden\, Menno Gootjes and Udo Pannekeet\, Focus return to UK and European concert stages during 2025/26. \nFresh from a successful 2024 which included the release of their new studio album Focus 12\, extensive European/UK touring as well as a month-long tour of the USA (alongside Asia\, Martin Turner ex Wishbone Ash and Curved Air)\, they will traverse Europe to give their loyal fans what they always want – a good time\, and timeless music. \nEach song breathtakingly unique\, and each performance different to the one before. \nHow much longer will Focus tour? \nWe have had 50 years of this amazingly spectacular show\, and Focus have achieved so much in this time span. \nFrom Polydor’s record plant closing to other bands\, to press nothing but Focus for ten days to meet demand\, to being a favourite of Bob Harris on The Old Grey Whistle Test\, and to holding positions in the UK top ten charts in both singles and albums. \nAnd now for the interesting facts of Focus:\nFocus have featured in the orchestra pit for Victor Spinetti’s musical Hair; have claimed a knighthood; soundtracked on a 2010 football World Cup commercial featuring Wayne Rooney; and not forgetting that Hocus Pocus was featured in the iconic car chase sequence\, after the bank heist in 2017 movie Baby Driver and also featured in Disney’s Classic Trolls World Tour movie\, 2020 The men of Focus are looking forward to seeing you all at their favourite venues\, and a few exciting new ones too.

SUMMARY:Jenny Greene
DESCRIPTION:Jenny Greene brings Balearic Nights to 3Olympia Theatre\, Dublin on Saturday 12th September 2026\, with Balearic-inspired sounds\, late-night energy\, and timeless dance music. \n  \n\n\nJenny has been a driving force in Irish dance music for almost 25 years. She first made her mark at just 17\, spinning on the legendary Pulse FM\, and quickly built a reputation as one of Ireland’s most respected and versatile DJs. \nBy 21\, she had secured a place in the Guinness World Records for the longest DJ set ever performed. Her iconic Saturday night show\, The Electric Disco on RTÉ 2FM\, has been a cornerstone of Irish club culture for more than 18 years. The success of the show led to an album release in 2009 and an Australian tour with The Potbelleez in 2013. \nWhen the world shut down in March 2020\, Jenny brought the party home. From her now-infamous ‘Rave Cave’\, she broadcast live sets simultaneously on RTÉ 2FM and YouTube\, lifting spirits and uniting listeners across Ireland during lockdown. \nJenny’s career spans every corner of electronic music. She has played to sold-out arenas and festivals with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra\, reinventing classic dance anthems with a 48-piece orchestra. In 2025\, she headlined her own fully produced stage show at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre\, further showcasing her creative range. Along the way\, she has shared stages with global heavyweights like Basement Jaxx\, Annie Mac\, and Leftfield\, while also performing at every major Irish festival\, including Electric Picnic\, All Together Now\, Beyond the Pale\, Indiependence\, Púca\, and Wild Roots. \nWhat sets Jenny apart is her versatility: commanding packed arenas\, headlining theatres\, and delivering electrifying sets in underground clubs with the same energy and authenticity. A true champion of Irish dance music\, Jenny Greene continues to evolve while staying rooted in her passion for connecting audiences to the music she loves\, across generations\, genres\, and stages.

SUMMARY:POD presents: Hudson Freeman
DESCRIPTION:Indie and lo‑fi folk artist Hudson Freeman plays Dublin for a headline show at The Workman’s Club on Thursday 12 September 2026. This date marks his debut Irish performance\, following a breakout year that has seen his music connect with a rapidly growing global audience. \nTickets go on sale: Friday 20th March – 10AM \nHudson crafts a moody blend of bedroom pop\, folk\, and slowcore\, drawing clear lines of inspiration from artists like Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver while carving out a voice that feels wholly his own. His breakout single “If You Know Me” has recently begun pulling in listeners far beyond his usual orbit\, built around a singular\, looping guitar riff and mantra‑like lyrics that showcase his instinctive melodic flair. \nSpring 2025 saw the release of his latest album\, “is a folk artist” – a quietly devastating\, slow‑burning record that has resonated with fans of modern indie folk. Across its songs\, Freeman weaves questions of faith\, belonging\, and anxiety into spacious arrangements that feel both intimate and expansive\, underlining his reputation as a digital‑age storyteller with rare emotional clarity. \nAt The Workman’s Club this September\, audiences can expect a set that traces Hudson’s journey from Eswatini bedrooms to Brooklyn apartments – songs that sit at the intersection of confessional folk and DIY indie\, performed with the rawness and vulnerability that have made his recent work so compelling.

SUMMARY:Missio
DESCRIPTION:Austin duo MISSIO\, Matthew Brue and David Butler fearlessly break the rules as they fuse elements of rock\, electronic\, indie\, and hip-hop into an unmatched and uncompromising hybrid. They tie seemingly disparate threads together with honest and heartfelt lyrics meant to both provoke and inspire. Following the 2023-2024 Cinco EP series\, the pair present their most definitive and dynamic vision with their full-length double-album\, I Am Cinco [Nettwerk]. It collates five moods I Am Sad\, I Am High\, I Am Awesome\, I Am Angry and I Am Crazy into one. \nSince 2015\, MISSIO have painted this picture with Loner [2017]\, The Darker the Weather // The Better the Man [2019]\, Can You Feel The Sun [2020]\, and VILLAIN [2022]. Tallying over 1 billion streams\, their catalog has notably resonated with the Gold-certified “Everybody Gets High” Between packing houses on tour\, they appeared at festivals like ACL and Lollapalooza and incited praise from Atwood\, Billboard\, Rolling Stone\, New Noise and Substream. \nThe music initially took shape in Austin only to be completed on a creative sojourn to Mexico City. Excited to share the music with the world\, everything set the stage for them to finally release I Am Cinco.

SUMMARY:CURVEBALL: Kalia Vandever
DESCRIPTION:Enthusiastic Eunuch Presents \n\nKali Vandever (International Anthen) \n\nKalia Vandever (they/them) is a trombonist and composer living in New York. Praised by AllMusic as “a master musician and composer” and “a singular talent\,” Vandever’s approach to the trombone is distinctive\, defined by their sonorous tone and lyrical voicing. They lean into the challenges of the instrument and allow patience and melody to guide their process. \nVandever’s music has quickly and widely gained traction in the last few years despite the fact that their style has been consistently difficult to pin down\, boasting a compositional scope ranging from the palatial modern jazz of their quartet work (notably featuring guitarist Mary Halvorson) to the synthetic\, gauze-like droning ambience of their solo material\, their compositional practice draws from their love of both songs and improvisation\, creating a landscape of sounds that resonate in the body and hold the listener. This dexterity has not gone unnoticed\, with The Wire asserting\, “Vandever has never sounded more assured and in control of their many strengths.” \nIn Bloom\, their 2019 debut album\, and its followup Regrowth (New Amsterdam\, 2022) swiftly established Vandever as a compelling bandleader in jazz circles—a group format they returned to on Another View (Northern Spy\, 2025) and still engage in regularly in live performance. \nRecognized by NPR as part of the “new class of jazz artists pushing the music forward\,” Vandever’s debut solo album We Fell In Turn (AKP Records\, 2023) signaled a separate path being explored simultaneously. The album features solo works for trombone\, voice and electronics\, laying the groundwork for a new sound to be further developed. Mana\, Vandever’s new album on Chicago’s International Anthem Recording Co\,\, leans into that development: solo trombone filtered through a well-dialed pedalboard\, manipulated live; spare piano as an intermittent anchor; electroacoustic interplay simultaneously echoing and transforming the long-note melodicism of Vandever’s melancholic brass work; head-on\, unambiguous\, and deeply personal lyricism. \nAfter attending Juilliard\, they began touring and performing internationally both solo and with their quartet. Their work as a side-person is expansive\, performing with artists ranging from Shabaka\, Joel Ross\, and Immanuel Wilkins\, to Harry Styles\, Japanese Breakfast\, and Moses Sumney. Vandever has been commissioned to write works for groups and individuals including Tesla Quartet\, The Westerlies\, Katherine Kyu Hyeon Lim\, and Hats & Heels Duo and is also a founding member of tilt—a Brooklyn-based collective with Isabel Crespo Pardo and Carmen Quill.

SUMMARY:Wu Lyf
DESCRIPTION:Emerging from Manchester in 2010\, WU LYF [World Unite Lucifer Youth Foundation] arrived at a moment when UK guitar music felt exhausted and directionless. Deliberately shrouded in mystery\, refusing interviews\, limiting press imagery and communicating largely through their self created Lucifer Youth Foundation fan network\, the band generated a rare cult-like anticipation. \nFunding their work through this community and early touring\, the quartet recorded their debut album ‘Go Tell Fire to the Mountain’ inside the abandoned St Peter’s Church in Ancoats. The cavernous space shaped the record’s signature sound: towering natural reverb\, organ-like textures\, sparse yet forceful instrumentation and Ellery Roberts’ fractured vocal cries cutting through the mix. \nReleased in 2011\, the album stood apart from its contemporaries quickly becoming a touchstone for listeners searching for something beyond the indie orthodoxy of the previous decade. \nJust a year later\, Roberts abruptly announced the band’s end\, later forming Lost Under Heaven. Yet WU LYF’s brief existence only deepened their mythology\, preserving the group as a moment fixed in time rather than a career slowly diluted. \nNow\, more than a decade on\, WU LYF return to the stage\, their legacy intact\, their presence as enigmatic as ever.

SUMMARY:Daily J
DESCRIPTION:Born and bred in idyllic Marlborough\, New Zealand\, Daily J has grown its own unique sound\, offering blissful blends of dreamy\, swirling melodies\, warm basslines\, and a hazy pop electronica influence that leaves you feeling swooned – the perfect soundtrack to your golden hour. \nConsisting of brothers Jayden\, Jonny and Jesse Paul alongside musical soulmate Rick\, the band have been riding the waves of a fast-growing local and international audience since they first splashed onto the scene late in 2017. \nTheir debut EP The Other Side was swiftly followed by crowd sing-along favourites such as ‘Left Me Like Summer’ and ‘Skylah’ which both featured on the release of their debut album Venus Ate Mars in November of 2020. The band continued exploring new sonic territory with the emotionally rich two-part album Slush Honey released throughout 2022 and  2023. \nBuilding on two sold-out Australian tours and over 48M streams in 2023\, the band had an even bigger 2024. They reached new heights by selling out their debut UK tour\, and upon their return to NZ\, they completed their third studio album Scatterbrains. The record marked a shift – stepping into darker\, more introspective spaces\, tying up loose ends and acknowledging life’s storms. Singles like ‘Tastes Like Forever’and ‘Sunday Stitches’ climbed the NZ charts\, resonating deeply with fans for their emotional honesty and sonic richness. \nMoving to Sydney in late 2025\, Daily J then released a deluxe edition of Scatterbrains\, which landed them fans across US college radio\, with both singles and the EP hitting the NACC charts. After a December trip back home for family\, festivals and the familiar radiance of a kiwi summer\, the band headed into the studio to craft their next body of work to be released throughout 2026\, featuring some of their most compelling and confident work yet.
