SUMMARY:James Joyce Centre Walking Tours
DESCRIPTION:Guides from the James Joyce Centre take you through Dublin\, exploring the history of the city and the various locations described by Ireland’s greatest writer\, James Joyce.\n\nThough Joyce lived most of his life outside of Ireland\, Dublin would provide the backdrop for virtually all of his work. On a stroll around the inner city\, our guide will explain the real-life inspiration behind some of Joyce’s most celebrated writing\, demonstrating just how central the streetscape of the ‘Hibernian metropolis’ was to the author’s life and art. The tour visits such stops as Belvedere College\, the Gresham Hotel\, the James Joyce Statue\, Davy Byrnes\, and the National Library.\n\nThis is an excellent and fun introduction to Joyce in a bustling part of the city.\n\nThe James Joyce Centre offers two tours: Introducing Joyce’s Dublin and Footsteps of Leopold Bloom.\n\nEvery Thursday\, Friday & Saturday at 11 am. Duration 2 hours.\n\nAdmission to the James Joyce Centre is included. \nThe James Joyce Centre is supported by the Department of Culture\, Communications and Sport.

SUMMARY:Cardinals
DESCRIPTION:Live from The Button Factory || Fri\, 20 November ’26 \nCardinals\, the five-piece hailing from Kinsale\, have been crowned “the next great guitar band to emerge from Ireland” by Rolling Stone UK and have also won high praise from NME and Stereogum. \nAfter selling out their Spring Tour to celebrate the release of Masquerade\, the band are back touring this winter\, taking it up a notch with bigger shows and bigger production. \nIt’s clear that Masquerade marks a new era for Cardinals. The making of the album has revealed something new of themselves\, opening them up as a more collaborative entity – as evidenced by closing track As I Breathe\, written just one week before they entered the studio. While much of the record’s lyrical content deals with the trials and complexities of navigating life\, the album ends on a tentatively hopeful note with the striking line “Even as we fall / I have learned the world is small / And I proceed.”

SUMMARY:Jamie McIntyre
DESCRIPTION:Jamie McIntyre started playing in pubs\, always with his eye on one day performing his own songs to people. \nIn 2024\, the singer was selected by Gavin James to join him as support in Paris on his European tour as part of Three’s City Stages initiative which also led to him working with Imelda May and performing at Electric Picnic\, followed by performances with Liverpool songwriter Jamie Webster on his sold out shows at 3Olympia in Dublin and The Telegraph Building in Belfast. \nThat summer\, he wrote an ode to his home county “Over Galway Town” which became a viral sensation with over 6.5 million streams and brought his music to far flung places across the globe. \nThis was followed by EP’s “Chapter 23” and “For Folk Sake” featuring fan favourite songs “West is Home” and “Gra” as well as “Melbourne” and “Outside The City” – all written from deeply personal experiences tied back to his love for Ireland in some way or another. \nA sold out debut run of shows across Ireland and the UK rounded off 2025 and this year has followed that trajectory with the release of new single “17 Again” and a UK & Ireland tour with U.S. indie folk band\, the 502s leading in to his own sold out Irish tour firmly putting Jamie McIntyre on the map as one to watch in 2026.

SUMMARY:This Is Lorelei
DESCRIPTION:The last few years have been transformative for Nate Amos. Between delivering breakout records both as a solo artist — under his This Is Lorelei moniker — and with his band Water From Your Eyes\, sold out shows across multiple continents\, to seeing some of today’s most influential artists cover his songs\, the ascending songwriter has found his stride. \n2024’s Box for Buddy\, Box for Star was Amos’ first attempt at an intentionally written full-length solo album\, tackling newfound sobriety through a roving tongue-in-cheek take on musical personas\, all strained through Amos’ genre-agnostic lens. It was a critical and word-of-mouth success\, spawning a deluxe version with covers and collaborations including MJ Lenderman\, Hayley Williams\, Jeff Tweedy\, Cameron Winter and many more. \nFor many years\, Amos’ This Is Lorelei project was known only to a close knit group of creatives in Chicago\, where he relocated in his early 20s and produced hundreds of albums and EP’s\, tracing the outlines for both of his prolific projects before relocating to New York. In the time since\, he’s flourished as a wildly creative polymath who is equally adept at slinging heart worn hooks and eyeball-exploding art-pop.

SUMMARY:Haute and Freddy
DESCRIPTION:Haute & Freddy is the dazzling brainchild of Michelle Buzz and Lance Shipp. The duo released their first single “Scantily Clad\,” sparking a devoted fanbase. The song has landed them on Spotify playlists Lorem\, Obsessed\, and the cover of Fresh Finds paving the way for their second single “Anti-Superstar\,” which has also been embraced with equal support and looks on multiple Spotify playlists leading to them being named on Spotify’s Artists To Watch for 2026. With their debut album on the horizon and their sold-out Mini Grand Tour under their belt\, Haute & Freddy’s momentum is picking up speed. Fans devoured the recently released videos for “Shy Girl”\, “Sophie” and “Freaks.” More festivals and tour dates in the works for 2026 when the album drops. Their latest single is a new anthem “Dance The Pain Away” out now\, with their debut album Big Disgrace coming out via Atlantic Records on March 13th.  \nTheir love for theater\, obscure synths\, and underground club culture runs deep\, infusing every track with an audacious energy. The duo moves through their music like runaway carnies\, crashing through the veneer of polite society with all the flair of an 18th-century escapade.

SUMMARY:Lavender
DESCRIPTION:Meet lavender\, a winsome London-based duo consisting of Oskar Rice and Adam Jackson. You can hear the confluence of their weirdly disconnected musical worlds merge on these songs. \nTheir influences\, which range from American Football to Burial\, Steve Reich to J Dilla\, are mixed up in a minestrone of sounds. The songs\, with these vivid textural patterns\, gossamer-thin layers of audio competing and commingling to create these magical\, melody-rich results. Big fans of sampling\, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where they begin and Adam’s voice or Oskar’s beats end. And that’s how they like it. Multiple plays reward the listener as the music unravels and gradually reveals its secrets.

SUMMARY:Éire to Everywhere: Stories Without Borders with Katriona O’Sullivan
DESCRIPTION:Éire to Everywhere is delighted to welcome the wonderful Katriona O’Sullivan\, who many will know from her gritty and powerful memoir Poor\, recently staged as a play. She joins us at EPIC to discuss her new book Hungry\, another biography\, this time focusing on the topic of body positivity and how she has struggled with this despite academic and professional accolades. \nTicket holders should arrive about 10 minutes before 5:30pm at the Visitor Information desk within chq. There they will be escorted to the event’s location. We would ask that you arrive no later than 5:35pm\, as it’s imperative these events begin on time to ensure the best experience for the author and for our visitors. \nAbout the Book\nKatriona O’Sullivan has come a long way from the poverty\, chaos and abuse she knew growing up. A respected academic and bestselling author\, she defied every expectation placed on the teenage mother she once was. \nYet even as the accolades arrived\, old beliefs held fast. No degree\, no award\, no recognition could silence the sense that she was only worthy when her body looked the way society said it should. \nIn this fierce and fearless memoir\, Katriona pulls back the curtain on her journey: the relentless comparison to the curated bodies of strangers on the internet\, the dangerous weight-loss treatments\, the attempts to reshape herself into an impossible ideal – and how she slowly learned to accept and love herself. \nHungry is an unforgettable examination of how gender\, class and trauma shape a woman’s sense of worth. It is one woman’s story – and a rallying cry for every woman who has ever felt she had to shrink to survive. \nAbout the Author\n\nDr Katriona O’Sullivan is a professor of psychology and the bestselling r Bio author of Poor\, winner of Biography of the Year and Newcomer of the Year at the Irish Book Awards. The memoir has been translated into seven languages\, adapted into a sold-out play at Dublin’s Gate Theatre\, and remained in Ireland’s top-ten nonfiction chart for two years. A regular commentator on the BBC and across Irish and international media\, she has spoken at Westminster\, the UN and UNESCO. \n\nBorn in Coventry to Irish parents\, her early life was marked by poverty\, addiction\, teenage pregnancy and homelessness. In 1998\, she moved to Dublin\, where she entered Trinity College through the access programme and went on to earn a PhD in psychology. Now a professor at Maynooth University\, she directs the National Centre for Inclusive Higher Education and leads the award-winning STEM Passport for Inclusion\, which has supported over 10\,000 young people from underserved communities into higher education and high-status careers. \nEndorsements of Hungry\n“Raw and remarkable” – The Irish Independent \n“As profound and honest as anything I have ever read” – Liz Nugent \n“Soaring with compassion\, intelligence and hard-won wisdom” – Louise Kennedy \nEndorsements of Poor\n“O’Sullivan’s redemptive arc has had to break through the systemic discrimination” – RTÉ Bookclub \n“Grit\, courage\, and the life-changing value of self-belief” – Irish Central

SUMMARY:Harakiri For The Sky
DESCRIPTION:Despair\, loss\, love\, and existential struggles have always been the foundation of HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY’s distinctive sound. Since their formation in 2011\, multi-instrumentalist M.S. and vocalist J.J. have gained recognition for pushing musical boundaries with their emotionally charged blend of atmospheric extreme metal and melodic post-rock\, grunge and modern hardcore\, carving out a genre of their own. After maintaining a steady two-year release rhythm and producing five albums in nine years\, the band decided to break from tradition following 2021’s “Maere” (which peaked at #4 on the official German charts). Taking four years to craft their next epic chapter\, HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY will now release their new tour-de-force\, “Scorched Earth”\, in January 2025 through AOP Records. \nMusically\, HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY continues to evolve\, but don’t stray too far away from the path they have been walking for the past 13 years. Their music is renowned for its melancholic\, deeply emotional tone\, exploring themes of existential despair\, inner turmoil\, and the human condition. Over the years\, these themes have solidified their place as pioneers of their own genre. \nGrowth has been a defining element for HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY in recent years. They’ve headlined tours across Europe\, North America\, South America\, Asia\, and Australia\, earning a reputation as one of the most emotionally intense live acts in modern metal. Additionally\, they’ve garnered five nominations for Austria’s prestigious Amadeus Music Award. Now\, the band is ready to return to the stage\, kicking off an extensive North American tour with Swallow The Sun in February\, followed by a European headline tour in April to unveil “Scorched Earth” to the world.

SUMMARY:LEENALCHI
DESCRIPTION:Leenalchi is a seven-piece band from Seoul that draws on the folk storytelling tradition of pansori\, and will remind you of the Talking Heads. \nTheir line-up is as singular as their sound – featuring two bassists\, drums\, keys\, no guitar\, and three singers. The band’s creator and visionary\, bassist Young Gyu Jang\, is also behind several beloved horror soundtracks and the now-disbanded iconic art band SsingSsing\, which Tiny Desk’s Bob Boilen described as “one of my most memorable Tiny Desk Concerts of all time.” Leenalchi is a seven-piece band from Seoul that draws on the folk storytelling tradition of pansori\, and will remind you of the Talking Heads. SUMMARY:Spike F**k
DESCRIPTION:For ten years Melbourne’s Spike Fuck has existed more as a messy myth than an artist – sporadic works forever poised on the precipice of triumph\, rumours of death or insanity and so on. Spike’s foray into music in 2015 served a cultural fantasy\, not by any overarching sense of ambition\, but rather a would-be\, cosplay pop star arrested by his own devices and whose melancholy wove through unlikely cultural circles. \n  \nHis sole body of work\, The Smackwave EP (Partisan Records)\, addressed themes as literal as the title suggests: drug use\, gender identity\, religion and existentialism. Soon after its release\, Spike was swept up in the whirlwind of unexpected success\, moving from underground warehouse parties to being draped in high fashion and editorial photoshoots accompanied by interviews\, in which he gave unrelenting and uncensored details of his life. \nReturning in 2024 after a four-year hiatus\, Spike has returned sober\, clear-eyed\, and transformed. Spike is no longer alone with a backing track\, but fronting a rotating full band. Together they channel ’70s glam\, spiritual soul\, and damaged rock’n’roll; always refracted through Spike’s unmistakable\, bruised\, and poetic voice.

The EP has amassed over 225 million streams and two of its standout tracks “Arkansas Diamond” and “Jailbreak” have earned RIAA Gold certifications. \nDrawing inspiration from modern trailblazers like Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan\, Waylon has cemented his place as a “rising country star to know” (GRAMMY.com) and was named one of VEVO’s 2026 DSCVR Artists to Watch. He has played sold-out stages worldwide\, headlining major U.S. venues and delivering standout performances at Stagecoach\, Cavendish Beach Music Festival\, and FairWell Festival\, as well as joining Zach Bryan at London’s Hyde Park. Gonna be traveling far and wide across this giant moving sphere. So much is in store for the Dustpiles Tour!!” Dustpiles is a deeply personal collection of songs exploring love and loss\, revealing Waylon at his most introspective and vulnerable. Widely recognized for his acclaimed songwriting\, the project also marks a creative turning point for the artist. For the first time\, Waylon steps outside his comfort zone to collaborate with a diverse group of songwriters and producers\, including Carter Faith\, Joe Becker (Sam Barber)\, Tofer Brown (Tim McGraw\, Old Dominion)\, and Anderson East (Miranda Lambert\, The Red Clay Strays\, Ty Myers) to name a few. \nWaylon shared the project’s latest single “But There Was a Time .” Built around slide guitar\, dark acoustic textures\, and Waylon’s raw vocal delivery\, the track explores the feeling of reconnecting with someone who once meant everything to you\, only to realize the relationship may not have carried the same weight for them. LISTEN HERE

SUMMARY:McGrath
DESCRIPTION:Following the striking introduction of debut single “Rotha”\, McGrath continues to establish himself as one of Ireland’s most distinctive emerging voices\, pairing vivid storytelling with sharp wit\, emotional honesty\, and a singular vocal presence. \nOriginally from Donegal and now based in Belfast\, McGrath was first discovered performing in a local pub\, where his commanding voice and sharply observed songwriting quickly turned heads. \nSinging songs about drinking stout with his father\, the arrival of the horsemen of the apocalypse\, and the endless turns of “Rotha Mór an tSaoil” (‘The Great Wheel of Life’)\, McGrath balances humour\, melancholy\, and poetic insight in equal measure. \nHis voice and sharp-witted lyricism caught the attention of George Ezra\, who invited him to open for him in 2025\, while a coveted slot at Dublin’s renowned Ruby Sessions further cemented his reputation as a compelling live performer. With festival appearances across Paris\, Manchester and London\, and more new music planned throughout 2026\, McGrath is steadily building momentum as one of Ireland’s most intriguing new songwriting voices. \n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Nimino
DESCRIPTION:nimino is one of the most exciting names in electronic music. His 2024 hit I Only Smoke When I Drink has surpassed 250 million streams\, charted on the UK Singles Chart\, and spent over 20 weeks on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Chart. He followed I Only Smoke When I Drink with his Creek EP in March 2025\, which was then followed by a series of notable single releases. nimino has performed at major festivals such as Coachella\, Lollapalooza\, Leeds Fest\, Boomtown\, Field Day\, Cercle\, CRSSD\, and Lightning in a Bottle\, as well as sold-out headline shows at venues globally. He is signed to Ninja Tune’s Counter Records. Before he began releasing and performing music under the moniker nimino\, Milo Evans’ musical journey started in his teenage years growing up in the UK as a way to channel his ADHD. \nBeginning with simple loop-stitching on an Asus laptop\, music quickly became an obsession. By the time he finished studying music technology in Brighton\, he had created the equivalent of eight albums’ worth of material. His first release as nimino in 2013—a slo-mo\, bass-inflected take on Pixies’ Where Is My Mind—marked the beginning of his career when it amassed hundreds of thousands of plays on SoundCloud and earned him the title of Huffington Post’s “Artist of the Month.” \nBy 2020\, nimino had cultivated an engaged community across his social platforms and launched a series called songs for people you may know\, where he created custom songs for fans. “I’d go on Instagram\, and people would give me ideas to build a song around\,” he explains. “It felt like a perfect way to connect with fans and show how fast I could make a decent song in a variety of styles.” Early in the series\, someone requested a track that would be the perfect festival opener. “I made something with a long build-up and a huge emotional drop. A week or so later\, I played it live\, and people went crazy. ” That track\, Opening Credits\, released in 2022\, quickly became a fan favorite. Since then\, nimino has released several singles and an EP\, with each new release continuing the journey of the nimino character through its artwork. “The nimino character symbolizes the journey my musical tastes have taken—more so by the environments he’s ended up in through no choice of his own. The travels he goes on accompany the music I’m making\, and vice versa\, but he’s also sort of nothing to do with me personally—just a little guy on an expedition through different spaces\, discovering different sounds.”
