SUMMARY:GRESLEY
DESCRIPTION:GRESLEY\, the solo project of UK based independent artist George Smith\, begins a new chapter for the songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. After spending much of his career as one third of the British Pop-Rock group New Hope Club\, George Smith embarks on a journey of self exploration and discovery with a fresh sound. Spending months in his bedroom writing\, Gresley has been working towards a debut album releasing in April of 2026\, executive produced by the hit-making duo The Futuristics . A combination of love\, quiet desperation and yearning\, these songs bring to life what George Smith has not yet had the chance to express as an artist and songwriter. With over a decade of experience touring around the globe\, GRESLEY brings a lively and unmatched energy to the stage. His upcoming album is one primed for live performances\, but also provides listeners with a unique emotional experience whether at home\, on the go\, or at a live show.

SUMMARY:Perspectives: Makaya McCraven
DESCRIPTION:After celebrating the 10th anniversary of his groundbreaking album In the Moment\, Makaya McCraven continues to push the boundaries of what we call jazz – inviting you on a journey through time\, space\, and culture. With his latest album\, In These Times – the result of over seven years of relentless work – he presents a fusion of improvisation\, innovative rhythms\, and deep cultural references. \nOften described as a “cultural synthesizer\,” McCraven believes that the term “jazz” is simply not enough to capture the musical phenomenon he creates. As The New York Times has noted\, “McCraven has quietly become one of the best arguments for jazz’s vitality.” \nBetween August and October 2025\, Makaya McCraven has simultaneously released four new EPs titled Techno Logic\, PopUp Shop\, Hidden Out!\, and The People’s Mixtape. All four EPs were produced in McCraven’s signature ‘organic beat music’ style that first debuted on his 2015 album In The Moment\, and further developed across subsequent releases Highly Rare\, Where We Come From\, and Universal Beings\, where he exercises heavy post-production on live recordings of improvisations he leads from the drumkit.

SUMMARY:The City Of Our Dreaming Concert
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the World Premiere of a new Irish work\, A tribute to our nation’s capital city\, and marking our choir’s 75th Anniversary \n\n\n\n\nJoin us for the World Premiere of a new Irish work. The centrepiece of our 75th celebrations\, “The City of Our Dreaming’ concert. Celebrating our great city\, our liberties’ origins\, our musical tradition\, and our commitment to Irish artists. On her debut album Personal History-which snagged a nod for the RTÉ Choice Music Prize – she moved effortlessly between the deeply personal and the strangely universal. \nHer slacker-pop follow-up\, Endless Affair\, dropped in 2023 and was followed by tours of Europe and North America. SUMMARY:The Longest Johns
DESCRIPTION:Chart topping folk group The Longest Johns are known the world over for their rollicking harmonies and raucous energy that are blowing new wind into the sails of traditional sea shanties and work songs. Formed in 2012 across a kitchen table in their native Bristol\, they bonded over a passion for traditional maritime folk music\, interwoven with a wry humour\, a taste for all things digital. and a flair for their own songwriting – ancient meets modern down by the docks. The Longest Johns have now announced a headline Academy\, Dublin show for Friday\, 8th May 2026. \nTickets from €29.00 (inc booking fee & venue facility fee) from Ticketmaster.ie on. Bookings subject to 12.5% service charge per ticket (max €10.50) \nConstant gigging over land and sea\, coupled with a rare command of social media and a string of quality releases saw them build a devoted fanbase at home and abroad. Their breakout moment came in 2021\, when their rendition of ‘Wellerman’ went viral on TikTok\, sparking the ‘Shanty Tok’ craze that became a global resurgence in sea shanty music and saw the band sign to Decca Records. \nThis year\, they have released their tenth album to round up the Pieces of Eight project – an EP a month for eight months culminating in the 24-track compilation. In the next 12 months they’ll continue to take folk music back to its roots by many routes\, playing more than 100 shows across the UK\, Europe\, North America and Australia. \nTheir love of heritage and tradition runs deep – in 2024 they released the fan-funded album Voyage with its companion book of original short stories\, artwork and lyrics. However\, as digital natives and avid gamers\, The Longest Johns were overjoyed to play at the opening of the 2025 Pokémon Europe International Championships where they debuted a new track\, Face the World\, written especially for the event. \nWith a strong digital presence boasting over 500\,000 YouTube subscribers and nearly 700\,000 monthly Spotify listeners\, they’ve also released a 20-track album of sea shanties digitally retooled in Chiptune\, taken part in the annual Jingle Jam hosted by gaming stream The Yogscast\, and share their own video games on YouTube and Twitch @LongestJohnsGaming. \nThe band have toured extensively across the UK\, North America\, and Europe\, as well as Australia and New Zealand. Their many highlights include selling out The Troubadour in LA (where Elton John began his conquest of the USA nearly 20 years before any of The Longest Johns was even born)\, performing at the late Queen’s birthday party at the British Embassy in Paris\, and playing festivals from Glastonbury to Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival. \nThe Longest Johns are Jonathan ‘JD’ Darley\, Andy Yates and Robbie Sattin.

SUMMARY:Jack Van Cleaf & Clover County
DESCRIPTION:Jack Van Cleaf was still an independent artist when “Rattlesnake” became a viral hit in 2023\, earning praise from songwriters like Noah Kahan (who hand-picked Jack as the opening act on his sold-out Stick Season Tour) and Zach Bryan (who began covering thesong online). For Jack\, it felt like a pivotal moment in a career that had been building since his teenage years. \nJack Van Cleaf now makes his Dualtone Records debut with the sophomore release JVC\, an album that does more than plant its flag halfway between the worlds of indie rock and Gen Z folk. It also asks big questions about home and identity. Years after penning his first song as a high school freshman in San Diego\, he headed east to Nashville\, where he studied songwriting at Belmont University and released his debut album\, Fruit from the Trees\, after graduation. “I met many of my closest friends during my very first week at Belmont\,” says Jack about his formative years in Music City. “All talented artists in their own right\, they went on to help me make my first record everything that it is\, and have remained my most trusted collaborators to this day.” “Rattlesnake\,” with its introspective lyrics and a tmospheric acoustics\, earned him a spot on Spotify’s 2024 Best New Artist list with tastemaker playlist “juniper”. \nWith JVC\, Jack Van Cleaf turns personal experience into something universal: a soundtrack to the year s we all spend in existential free-fall\, trying to find a new sense of gravity after the rules and regulations of youth have faded into the past. \n\n\n

SUMMARY:The Twilight Sad
DESCRIPTION:“If the world was a better place they would be playing to more people\, and I think they can.” – Robert Smith\, The Cure \nTHE TWILIGHT SAD announce their long-awaited sixth album IT’S THE LONG GOODBYE due out 27th March via Rock Actions Records  \nTHE TWILIGHT SAD today announce their long-awaited sixth album IT’S THE LONG GOODBYE due out 27th March via Rock Actions Records and available to preorder here. Following the album’s lead track “Waiting For The Phone Call”\, released last October\, today the band share the equally epic new single “DESIGNED TO LOSE”. The second track on the album is a beautifully meditative yet muscular reflection on the human condition\, hinged on how we can seem doomed to lose in so many of our endeavours – including our capacity to cope with loss. \nTHE TWILIGHT SAD – DESIGNED TO LOSE \n“It had to contain every element of emotion I was feeling\,” says singer/lyricist James Graham of THE TWILIGHT SAD’s deeply resonant sixth album. On their first record in seven years\, Scotland’s post-punk outfit return with a story to share: a cogent story of loss and personal crisis\, rooted in specific experience yet mounted with a palpable emotional power that feels universal. Set to urgent and guitar-rich arrangements from bandmate Andy MacFarlane\, IT’S THE LONG GOODBYE reflects on James’s mother’s illness\, her subsequent death and his own mental health struggles\, exploring profound human vulnerability with tenderness and tempestuous force. \nThe result is the most personal yet relatable album to date from a band whose portraits of bruised humanity have forged close ties with their audience. As James says\, “In the past I’ve used a lot of metaphors within my lyrics. With this\, there’s not as much. The record is heavily influenced by my mental health\, grief and loss\, and the need to be strong in positions where you’re not feeling it. It’s a very human story\, I think – this is just my version of it. I feel that everybody goes through something like this. Everybody loses somebody. Everybody questions life.” \nBack in 2016\, James and Andy returned from the “pinch yourself” high of a tour with The Cure to find that James’s mother had been diagnosed with early onset frontotemporal dementia. Roughly 80 per cent of the record was written as James wrestled with the contrast between the joys in his life – marriage\, parenthood – and the cruelty of his mother’s decline. In November 2023\, another tour with The Cure was brought to a necessary halt as his mental health deteriorated. “And then my mum passed away in the January afterwards\,” says James. \nThe record was developed over seven years\, with the London-based MacFarlane stockpiling musical ideas during lockdown while exchanging words and sounds with Graham. The Cure’s Robert Smith\, by now a longtime close friend of the band\, provided invaluable input on the demos and guested on the record\, supplying extra guitars on ‘WAITING FOR THE PHONE CALL’\, guitars/“Tron keys” on ‘DEAD FLOWERS’ and six-string bass on ‘BACK TO FOURTEEN’. “Then we had to piece together a band\,” says Andy\, with THE TWILIGHT SAD now centred on him and James after former bandmates were drawn away by life commitments. Sometime Arab Strap player David Jeans and Mogwai live team-member Alex Mackay play drums and bass respectively\, while the album was produced by MacFarlane at Willesden’s Battery Studios – a location rich in cherished Cure history\, notably – with additional production from Andy Savours (My Bloody Valentine) and mixing by Chris Coady (Slowdive). \nThe result is a pinnacle for THE TWILIGHT SAD in a career of tremendous integrity and artistry\, and a record that honours the band’s ability to turn lived experience into fully felt music. “To know that I’m saying things that connect with other people\, that’s such a powerful thing\,” says James. “I want to be a relatable person that talks about things that can happen and give an opportunity for people to go\, well\, you’re not alone. I want people to be able to listen to this record and hear that it comes from a place of raw emotion. The album is an opportunity to share my experience and move forward with my life.” \nThe Twilight Sad will be on tour in the UK and Europe in April and May including a performance at the Roundhouse in London. The band also recently announced news of a second Glasgow Barrowland show in early May. This will be followed by a handful of dates performing as special guests to The Cure in June and July.

SUMMARY:Maddox Batson
DESCRIPTION:Billboard’s youngest male artist to appear on 21 Under 21\, Maddox Batson\, announces his 46-show world tour; The Maddox Batson Live Worldwide Tour 2026. \nThe EU leg of the tour opens in Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on Tuesday 12th May 2026. \n\n\n“A lot of people might not remember I got my start on TikTok Live\, so this tour name is a nod to those early days\,” Batson shares. “We love bringing our live shows to fans – it’s crazy to me that it now means we’re playing around the world. What a blessing to share this journey and new music with y’all!” \nBatson recently wrapped his 29-city I Need A Truck Tour along with supporting Lainey Wilson’s Whirlwind Tour on select dates. \nHailed as “A young star\, new on the country charts already striking a chord and hitting all the right notes” by NBC Nightly News\, Batson recently released the upbeat\, sentimental track “Coincidence” in September via Prosper Entertainment / Warner Records. \nThe 15-year-old also released “No More\,” a powerful track that taps into heartbreak and healing with a combination of grit\, vulnerability and raw emotional delivery. Fueled by a hook-heavy chorus and defiant lyrics\, “No More” highlights Batson’s continued evolution as both a songwriter and performer. \nForbes praises Batson’s stage presence\, stating “It’s not only his lyrics and relatable subject matter that’s captured the hearts of young fans\, it’s his engaging\, high-energy personality that shines through every live performance\, music video\, and interaction with everyone he meets.” \nFollowing a breakout year that included his Grand Ole Opry debut and a high-profile appearance at Stagecoach\, Maddox Batson continues to raise the bar for his young professional career. \nAbout Maddox Batson:\nMaddox Batson navigates the world with wisdom and wit far beyond his 15 years. After the Nashville-born\, Alabama-based songwriter began gaining notoriety covering songs from Zach Bryan\, Red Clay Strays and more\, he started to write his own songs. Thanks to early singles like “Tears In The River” and “I Wanna Know\,” Batson quickly showed that he wasn’t only a star at covering country hits\, but an excellent writer of his own home-cooked cuts – a practice he saw first-hand as a co-writer on Lana Del Rey and Quavo’s smash hit collaboration\, “Tough.” \nWith the arrival of his deluxe EP First Dance (The After Party) in May\, Maddox Batson was ready to show the world you’re never too young to be the face of music. Most recently\, Batson wrapped his 29-city I Need A Truck Tour and released new track “Coincidence.” Batson also made his debut appearance at Stagecoach Music Festival in 2025. Life is moving fast for the multi-instrumentalist (piano\, guitar & mandolin) and he’s trying his best to remain a kid while becoming next up in country-pop music. “It can be overwhelming\, this life\, but I’ve got a lot of good people surrounding me\,” he explains. “I’m still just a kid\, though\, and I’m happy about that.”
