SUMMARY:James Joyce Centre Walking Tours
DESCRIPTION:Guides from the James Joyce Centre take you through Dublin\, exploring the history of the city and the various locations described by Ireland’s greatest writer\, James Joyce.\n\nThough Joyce lived most of his life outside of Ireland\, Dublin would provide the backdrop for virtually all of his work. On a stroll around the inner city\, our guide will explain the real-life inspiration behind some of Joyce’s most celebrated writing\, demonstrating just how central the streetscape of the ‘Hibernian metropolis’ was to the author’s life and art. The tour visits such stops as Belvedere College\, the Gresham Hotel\, the James Joyce Statue\, Davy Byrnes\, and the National Library.\n\nThis is an excellent and fun introduction to Joyce in a bustling part of the city.\n\nThe James Joyce Centre offers two tours: Introducing Joyce’s Dublin and Footsteps of Leopold Bloom.\n\nEvery Thursday\, Friday & Saturday at 11 am. Duration 2 hours.\n\nAdmission to the James Joyce Centre is included. \nThe James Joyce Centre is supported by the Department of Culture\, Communications and Sport.

SUMMARY:Stop Making Sense Live!
DESCRIPTION:Singular Artists proudly present Stop Making Sense – Live for a headline show in The Button Factory\, Dublin on Saturday\, 28 November 2026. \n\nTickets are available from singularartists.ie on Friday\, 15 May at 10am. \nOn 19th October 1984\, Talking Heads and Jonathan Demme released the greatest concert movie of all time. \nLast year\, Slippery People recreated ‘Stop Making Sense’ live on stage at Gorilla in the city of Manchester. The show was an overwhelming success with an incredible online response from the audience which led to the band announcing follow up shows in Albert Hall where they played to over 3\,000 people on both nights. Now they’re bringing this to Dublin. \nSinger Duncan Wallis of indie-pop favourites Dutch Uncles dons the famous big suit\, dances with the lamp\, plays along with the ghetto blaster as the rest of the band not only bring the music to life but also the iconic choreography\, all played out in front of the big screen. \nThe film was like no other concert-movie that had come before – for one\, the viewer doesn’t see the audience until the final song. But what really makes Stop Making Sense stand out is the form it takes. David Byrne walking on stage armed only with a guitar and a beatbox performs ‘Psycho Killer’ solo. He’s joined by bass player Tina Weymouth for the ballad ‘Heaven’ and then drummer Chris Frantz for ‘Thank You For Sending Me An Angel’ with Jerry Harrison completing the founding line-up of the band for the staccato ‘Found A Job’. \nBut this is where Talking Heads are just getting warmed up. \nEach song brings new members on to the stage; a percussionist\, backing singers\, virtuoso funk guitarist Alex Weir and the great Bernie Worrell with his signature synth sound that elevates the whole show beyond that of a normal rock concert and into the stratosphere. \nSadly the tour which preceded ‘Stop Making Sense’ was the last from the band and fans have been unable to see the magic that was made on that night in 1984 live. There have been reissues of the concert film\, which received a cinematic release in 2023\, and solo runs from David Byrne\, perhaps most notably his ‘American Utopia’ tour but Talking Heads never reunited to play together. \nAnd so Slippery People\, the band consisting of 10 members\, will play all of the Talking Heads songs featured in the film. From ‘Psycho Killer’ to ‘Burning Down The House’ to ‘Once In A Lifetime’ and everything in between. \n\nThey have a tape they’d like to play for you\, and everyone is getting involved.

SUMMARY:Dylan John Thomas
DESCRIPTION:Forty million streams and 60\,000 tickets can’t be wrong. The numbers don’t lie\, and nor do the tunes – impassioned songs of love and regret\, faith and fatalism\, rejection and connection\, realism and idealism. \nAfter selling out six nights at the Barrowlands\, Dylan John Thomas is Scotland’s worst kept musical secret. From pavement to arena\, the DIY artist who did it all for himself\, all the way to a sell-out homecoming show at Glasgow’s 14\,300-capacity Ovo Hydro. A self-taught\, multi-instrumentalist\, mainlining the old-time rhythm of Johnny Cash (“boom-chicka-boom…”)\, the high-picking melodies of Simon & Garfunkel\, the lyrical poeticism of Leonard Cohen – but all retooled with a twentysomething’s freshness\, rigour and vigour\, and the ardent fandom to match. Boom-chicka-BOOM. \nHis second album\, Nothing Here Worth Taking\, was recorded at Magic Box studios over the past year with Scotty Anderson (The Snuts). Entirely written by Dylan\, with most of the instruments self-played too\, the 10-track set is a rousing\, carousing blast of brass\, blues\, banjo\, piano and classic\, retro-futureproof\, singalong songwriting. \nThat spirit is there in vivid form on lead single ‘Got You on My Mind’. The first song completed for the album\, it’s a banjo-and brass-driven anthem. “I got into banjo two years ago\, just after the first album came out\,” Dylan explains. “We went on a wee trip round Scotland\, and I took it with us. We were just kicking around\, playing all the old folk songs. And by the time it came to recording this album\, I’d written a couple of songs on it.”

Listen to ‘the van’. ‘the van’ will feature alongside ‘you and forever’ and ‘dirty wedding dress’ on Bleachers’ upcoming fifth studio album\, everyone for ten minutes\, set for release on Friday 22nd May via Dirty Hit. \nThe band returned earlier this year with the infectious ‘you and forever’ alongside an accompanying Alex Lockett visual featuring Margaret Qualley before following up with the Americana-influenced ‘dirty wedding dress’. Bleachers also revealed a mesmerising Gabe Drechsler directed live version of ‘you and forever’ shot at Electric Lady Studios. \nBleachers’ new album everyone for ten minutes is the inevitable culmination of a lifetime of devotion to bands for the six members and\, ultimately\, finds each one at their creative peak. Despite the moments where it briefly peers into darkness\, it’s essentially an optimistic record that feels lovestruck and hopeful\, leaping from harmony-laden folk rock to shimmering pop soul to the sax-assisted New Jersey sound that Bleachers have become synonymous for. \nDescribed by The New York Times as “anthemic” and “life-affirming” \, Bleachers are fronted by thirteen-time Grammy Award-winning artist Jack Antonoff. Releasing their debut album Strange Desire in 2014\, the band have built a huge\, passionate following across four studio albums\, renowned for their impressive live show and infectious camaraderie. \nBleachers’ self-titled fourth record\, released in March 2024\, marked a major high point and received widespread critical acclaim\, with Rolling Stone praising the “spiritual ecstasy that can only be attained through the platonic perfection of pop formula” \, and NME calling it “a triumphant portrait of Antonoff’s talent and the band’s tight musical bond” . Following its release\, the band embarked on their sold out From The Studio To The Stage world tour\, which finished with their largest headline show to date at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

SUMMARY:Garron Noone
DESCRIPTION:Noone was named one of Ireland’s “breakthrough stars” for 2023 on TikTok. He rose from having just a few thousand followers in early 2023\, while posting music tutorials\, to over a million in February 2024 after transitioning to comedy. \nHis catchphrase\, “Follow me\, I’m delicious” came about when he made a video that he did not think was particularly funny\, so he randomly added it to the end. When he made future videos without it\, he got comments from viewers asking for it. People now shout the phrase at him on the street and send him photos of objects with the word “delicious.” The phrase was the inspiration for an ad campaign for a coffee company where Noone served as spokesman. \nIn 2024\, Noone won the Gossie Award for newcomer of the year. Also in 2024\, Noone released his podcast Listen\, I’m Delicious\, named so after his catchphrase. \nConnect with Garron Noone – TikTok / Instagram / YouTube

SUMMARY:Ethan Regan
DESCRIPTION:Ethan Regan is just the troubadour Gen Z needs. He’s had a fair share of significant viral moments\, but he’s also anaccomplished and energe?c showman on stage\, giving performances I.R.L. that leave a las?ng mark. As asongwriter\, he’s both intensely introspec?ve and sharply self-aware\, espousing the importance of self-care withsensi?vity. In this respect\, he makes ?meless music with a modern mindset. Beyond playing instruments andsinging\, this CharloIe na?ve with a restless\, road-worn spirit personally grabs the reins and produces\, mixes\, andmasters his own songs. He has tallied nearly 100 million streams\, received cri?cal acclaim\, and cap?vated sold-outrooms as a proven headliner. Crea?vely\, he doesn’t follow a formula. You’re just as likelyto encounter a breezychord progression in one of his tunes as you are to hear a rowdy and boisterous horn sec?on or big screen-sizestrings. HiOng the road\, he shined on bills with Sam Barber and Rainbow KiIen Surprise as well as Chelsea Cutlerand Jeremy Zucker. Ethan’s self-produced 2025 EP\,honey honey honey\, saw him gain further trac?on with “get by”and “spaceman.” In the EP’s wake\, he canvased the country\, headlining his“I Almost Graduated”Tour and releasingthe likes of “fool” and “sweet hunger.”Looking forward\, his ar?stry remains an unapologe?c and unfilteredreflec?on of who he is. You’ll feel like you know him a liIle beIer on a series of 2026 singles for Columbia Recordsand his forthcoming debut album\, “YOUNG REGAN.”

SUMMARY:Jamie Duffy
DESCRIPTION:At just 25 years old\, Jamie Duffy has rapidly ascended to the elite tier of global multi instrumentalists\, amassing over 160 million streams on his debut single alone. Seamlessly bridging the gap between traditional and modern composition\, Jamie has become a formidable force on the international stage\, redefining what it means to be a “classical” artist in the 21st century. \nJamie’s transition from a viral sensation to a live powerhouse has been marked by a string of prestigious\, sold-out headline shows across the UK and Ireland\, including a landmark performance at Dublin’s National Concert Hall. His debut album has been met with equal acclaim\, breaking into the Top 10 of the Irish Official Charts and the UK Classical Charts. SUMMARY:Martin Luke Brown
DESCRIPTION:“Start\, middle\, end\, start again.” Martin Luke Brown sings like it’s nothing on ‘highest high’\, but after a while\, we all come to realise that really\, that’s all there is. \nThere’s life\, and there’s death but in the middle\, there’s everything. There’s friendship\, love\, good kisses\, nights out you do or don’t remember\, meals shared\, flats rented. For Martin specifically\, the “etc.” is an amalgamation of hours aimlessly jamming with housemates\, new loves after lost ones\, and cars breaking down like ridiculous comedic relief in the chaos of it all. In an artistic world so obsessed with the extremes on either side\, his third album\, life & death etc refuses to wait for a moment of grandeur\, but instead finds them in the movement of it all – asking us to consider that what are maybe the most profound moments of our lives are often the simplest; conversations around dinner tables or time spent goofing around. \nAfter leaving behind the major label world and reinventing his career into one that allows him to live and work as much as possible with friends\, his artistry too exists right there. For this new release\, he once again returned to working with one of his best friends Matt Zara\, staying true to their partnership that is really little more than “hanging out\, playing music and whatever happens\, happens.” \nFrom that room\, where these two childhood friends seamlessly weave between harmonising and arguing\, stress and laughter\, work and play – the entire energy of life & death etc is encapsulated. \n“I think two people having fun\, especially being shit at something together\, is actually so much more magical\,” he said. Though himself and Grammy-nominated Zara are anything but “shit”\, it’s all in the motivation of the studio\, caring less about technicality as opposed to feel. As he’s moved through his career\, witnessing the industry at basically every level\, Martin finds himself becoming far less interested in proficiency. \nInstead\, it all lies in the energy\, reuniting him with his core belief of what music is all about. Growing up in the church with hymns and a community singing them\, Martin said “When people go to their first gigs people are singing along\, and there’s that euphoric feeling of ‘oh\, we’re all together’\, I had that in church. I think I misconstrued the power of music with the power of God. Or maybe it’s always been God all along\, who knows. ” \n  \nBut there was a take away from that. Going back to the very root of what music is for\, his latest work is inspired by music made by people for people. He said\, “it’s service orientated – I want to make music that serves people in some way.” \nIt drew him to another key influence that stayed on repeat during the making of the record – the infectiously human ‘Do I Ever Cross Your Mind’ by Chet Atkins and Dolly Parton\, a country ditty that collapses into laughter. “It’s goofy and silly and it makes people feel good and makes them want to dance around\,” he said\, ”But there’s sentimentality there\, a subtle depth. I think that’s such a good example of what music can be – joyous but still meaningful. Especially in times like these\, happiness or hope feel like an act of rebellion” \nIt hasn’t been long since we last heard from Martin. His previous record\, man oh man ! arrived just over a year ago\, but he’d grown sick of the strange\, stunting delay musicians have to live with. “I’m always keen to keep moving. It makes it easier to be in alignment with who I really am\, rather than festering in an old feeling for too long\,” Martin said\, rejecting the typical wait that forces artists to be promoting some old version of themselves. Deciding to simply make something new when the moment seemed to call for it\, he’s realised the value of immediacy and capturing the present. \n“I think if I zoom forward to when I’m like 80\, and I’m looking back at all the music I’ve ever done\, I would love each album to be time capsules of that time in my life\,” he said\, treating the records like photo albums\, or fleeting snapshots to feel and let go. “It’s such a dense time\, each year right now deserves an album at least” \nAcross all corners of his life\, that’s a mindset he’s practicing. “I think holding things loosely is such an important life skill\,” he said\, “whenever you grip on to something tightly it doesn’t serve anything. It doesn’t serve the thing that you’re holding on to. It just strangles it\, like poor fucking Lenny from of mice & men hahah” \nlife & death etc\, despite dealing with dense themes of heartbreak\, grief and purpose\, practices a loose grip – hence the flippancy of the title. “Yes my heart took a beating\, but it’s beating nonetheless\,” he sings on ‘nonetheless’\, refusing to grip white-knuckled to pain but instead surrendering to the heartache moving through him and the fact that life will move on despite it. On ‘back of my mind’\, he lets past loves linger as a whisper as it does exactly that\, singing\, “you’re not in my life no more\, but you’re still in the back of my mind.” At the album’s end\, ‘unlearning everything’ serves as both an elegy and a mission statement\, concluding simply “it’s right there in front of my eyes” as a devotion to simply witnessing and feeling the present as all there really is. \n“I think my flow is just writing and putting it out and writing and putting it out and writing and putting it out. Not overly editing or filtering or performing\, because that’s exhausting” he said. Across his three records\, his diary-like lyrical tone that serves that state best has been developing\, but never has it been more candid than here. \nDevoted to making music that sounds like him\, capturing tiny personal moments and somehow turning them into universal experiences\, Martin doesn’t shy away from wanting to bring us all together “That feeling you get at a show or a rave or church or a festival – that euphoria of feeling like you belong\, I want to spend my whole life in that feeling.” \nBOILERPLATE: \nThere’s life\, there’s death\, but everything else exists right here\, in the beautiful middle. After a while\, we all come to realise that really\, that’s all there is. In this new era\, Martin Luke Brown is drinking it all in. \nAfter years of navigating the industry from every angle\, the artist is rejecting rules\, structures and expectations to instead reunite with the community roots of what music is all about. Creating music and living life as “service orientated”\, he’s making art that exists as a time capsule of his own life. Leaving the edges rough and unedited as a show of devotion to the idea that what is most human is most universal. \nAsking us repeatedly to consider that perhaps the most profound moments are the ones right in front of us; the dinner table conversations\, the jokes with friends\, the hazy nights out\, Martin Luke Brown is now at his most candid\, and his most captivating.

SUMMARY:Genesis Owusu
DESCRIPTION:REDSTAR WU & THE WORLDWIDE SCOURGE is Genesis Owusu’s third studio album — a 14-track project that stands as his most experimental and politically charged work to date. Released on 15 May 2026 via Ourness and preceded by the singles “PIRATE RADIO\,” “DEATH CULT ZOMBIE\,” “STAMPEDE\,” and “LIFE KEEPS GOING\,” the record features guest appearances from Duckwrth and Ladyhawke\, and has been met with widespread critical acclaim. Pitchfork praised the way Owusu “folds together post-industrial dissonance\, globe-trotting influences\, and stinging social commentary\,” positioning him as “a unifying node in a post-everything landscape.” \n  \nThe album unfolds as an eclectic musical journey\, where Neo-Soul feeds into Alt Pop\, Synth Punk into Funk\, and genre borders dissolve into a vibrant\, layered soundscape. It captures moments of collective ecstasy and desolation\, resistance and joy\, dance and reflection\, while Owusu channels his sharpened lyricism into a reflection of the world’s unrest. \nWritten from a sense of necessity\, the album is a piercing commentary on the political\, social\, and economic turmoil of contemporary society. Owusu ruminates on institutional corruption\, the rise of extremism\, and the fractures of modern life\, while also calling for unity and brotherhood. The opening track\, “PIRATE RADIO\,” sets the tone with its frantic instrumentation and unflinching honesty\, followed by songs such as “STAMPEDE\,” “BLESSED ARE THE MEEK\,” and “THE WORLDWIDE SCOURGE\,” which tackle far-right politics\, genocide\, and media manipulation. Amid the urgency\, Owusu also finds space for introspection — “HELLSTAR” and “RUNNIN OUTTA TIME” explore love and joy as acts of resistance\, while the album’s more personal moments examine apathy and the loss of empathy in a crumbling world. \nRecorded in South Wales with executive producer Dann Hume\, the album emerged from free-flowing\, unbounded sessions where no sound or genre was off limits. The result is a kaleidoscopic record that draws on influences from Deep Funk\, Neo Soul\, Brit Rock\, and Alt Pop\, fusing them into a powerful\, cohesive statement. At its core\, REDSTAR WU & THE WORLDWIDE SCOURGE is a rallying cry and an act of hope — a fearless reflection of the times that urges resistance\, unity\, and love amid global chaos.

SUMMARY:Really Good Time
DESCRIPTION:REALLY GOOD TIME ANNOUNCES IRISH NATIONAL TOUR FOR DECEMBER 2026  \nSaturday\, 5 Button Factory – Dublin  \nTheir debut album ‘Affirmations’ – OUT THIS FRIDAY \n“Their Queens Of The Stone Age motorik meets Pixies’ cold finesse comes topped by vocals alternately whingeing\, deadpan\, agonised and spoken\, with arch and withering observation from the Alex Turner songbook.”  – **** MOJO Magazine  \n\n+++ \n\nReally Good Time are a three-piece rock band from Dublin\, who sound like Vertigo-era U2 \ncovering Viagra Boys. Over the last four years they’ve gone door to door at home and abroad\, \nsewing the seeds of chaos with a relentless\, ear-immolating live show. Having captured this \nenergy on debut album ‘Affirmations’ – they’ll be bringing the record on the road for their most \nextensive tour to date in Autumn 2026\, before bringing it all home to celebrate the album and \nthe year with a run of Irish shows in early December. \n\nTheir debut album ‘Affirmations’ is a 40-something minute panic attack\, lurching from existential \ndread to petty anxiety in moments\, while ultimately seeking to remember that the world outside \n\nthe self is still there\, close enough to touch. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll buy several tickets.
